"Cough...!" Rayleigh spat a mouthful of blood weakly, voice hoarse. "Put me down, save yourself..."
"Shut up!" Shakky gritted her teeth, tears swirling in her eyes. "Save your strength, or we both die!"
Using the undercurrents and island debris for cover, she struggled to drag Rayleigh deeper, avoiding most of the fist winds.
"Roy, that monster... if we stay in these waters any longer, all of Sabaody will sink to the bottom..."
"Too terrifying... must flee to a safe place..."
The sea surface gradually calmed, leaving only a massive whirlpool a hundred meters in diameter spinning slowly, like a dark eye staring into the deep sea.
Roy stood on the edge of the shattered ground, slowly retracting his right fist, the dark vortex dissipating.
He looked down at the sea surface. "Escaped, huh..."
