I reached his phone on the table and pressed it with hope that I might get some clues but it had a password and I had no time to start guessing it so I put it back on the table.
I texted my boss Liam and told him that I'm not feeling well so I won't be able to make it and he said it's okay,I will go back when I feel better…I decided to use today to monitor and stalk my husband till I get my answers to these many questions running in my head.
"Babe here you go," he walked in with a tray of food and placed it on bed.
"Babe you really look weak,maybe you should call sick at work and they give you a day off,you can't work when you're like this…I'm really worried about you," he touched my forehead again.
"Come on babe,I just got my promotion a few weeks back,I can't start missing all of a sudden…what do you think my colleagues will think of me!?? Good enough I don't have a temperature so I'm good to go," I assured him.
"Okay if you say so but I was more than willing to stay here and take Care of you," he lifted my hand and kissed it on the back.
"No babe I'm perfectly fine…by the way ain't you late for work?? It's coming to 10am," I asked him.
"Babe are you kidding me!!? You expect me to rush to work and leave my babe in bed feeling weak!!? Hell no…you're my first priority so I'm going to first make sure you're safe before walking out that door," he fed me with omelette he had prepared.
"Mmh this is so yummy,I don't know why it has taken us so long to open up our own restaurant when you're blessed with such chef talent," I genuinely complimented him.
"Very soon babe,we shall open up our restaurant and our competitors will come to me for recipes haha," he cracked a joke and I almost got choked on the food.
He offered me a glass of juice to calm me down…we finished eating and as he took back the plates,I went to the bathroom and took a shower and once I was done with getting ready,I went downstairs and kissed him before stepping out.
"Babe later,thanks for that tasty breakfast my love…I really feel sorry for other girls because I wonder who will marry them since I already got married to the best man in the whole world," I kissed him more.
"Well that's less of our worry because it's their loss not ours haha,please take care and in case you don't feel better,don't hesitate to call on me at any time," he held my waist and kissed my neck.
"What time are you planning to leave?? It's already late and I don't want you to get in big trouble because of me," I asked him.
"Babe you know I take less minutes to do my morning routine so in less that thirty minutes I will be at work," he kissed me on the lips.
I left the house and moved to my car but I drove just a few meters from home and got to a good spot where I could easily see him leaving…I called for a cab and parked my car somewhere because I could easily get caught if I do this stalking game in my car.
Just like he said,in less than thirty minutes,he was leaving the house and I told my cab driver to follow him up.
We followed him up but he drove for two hours straight and when I looked closely he was driving to his mom's place.
He parked in the driveway and I told my driver to park a few blocks from there…this is when I remembered that his kid bro left him a message from their mom but I had forgotten about it since I have too much on my head but I think they got in touch.
He spent like forty five minutes but when he came out,it's like they were fighting with his mom but since we had parked far,I was unable to hear what was burning between them…he entered the car furiously and drove off at full speed and we followed him behind.
He drove for another hour and a half then later pulled over in front of some house and the other girl he was holding waist with yesterday came out of the house and entered the car,they stayed there for something like twenty minutes before setting off and my mind was going crazy.
I started having flashes of what they're doing right now that is making them not to drive off…I started sweating and my heart was beating very fast because of too much imagination.
They finally drove off and we still followed them behind…they pulled over at some club and they both stepped out of the car and entered inside.
"Ma'am now what?? Do you still want to wait for them here or I drive you back?" The driver asked me.
"Please let's leave,that's all for today," I ordered him and he started the car.
"So which direction are we heading to??" He asked me.
I gave him directions and he drove me to my office…after paying him I stepped out of the car.
"Ma'am here is your change," he lowered his mirror and talked to me.
"No sir,keep it…you really did a great job,you truly deserve it," I replied to him.
"Wow!! Thank you so much ma'am," he was so happy.
He drove off and I also went inside the office.
"Ava what are you doing here?" My boss asked me when he saw me walking in.
"I'm here for work like the rest of the employees…why are you so damn surprised??" I asked him while taking my desk seat.
"Of course I'm surprised because you sent me a text message earlier this morning and I was planning to give you a call and know how you're feeling but here you are!!" He said.
"Yah I'm here because I am feeling better so instead of staying back home,I decided to come and work," I told him.
"But you shouldn't have,you would have rested and come back tomorrow after all we are not so busy," he explained.
"It's okay I'm here now so we can't change anything," I opened my laptop and started working.
"I would like you to accompany me somewhere," I told him.
"Woah you sound serious!! Where are we going and when??" He asked me.
"In our lunch break," I replied.
" oh are you taking me on a date?! If so,please that's my responsibility not yours," he winked while leaning back in his chair.
"Scoffs,you wish!! I'm taking you somewhere,there's a place I want to check out but if you don't want to tag along it's still okay I will do it myself," I told him.
"No come on,of course I will accompany you…even if you're going to the moon I'll tag along," he smiled at me.
I smiled back and went back to work.
