Chapter 123 - Chapter 123: Capturing Family Members

Kira Yoshikage's gaze, like an icy probe, swept over the few trembling researchers. He could tell these guys were weak and definitely not Stand Users.

Their pure fear didn't elicit any pity from him; instead, it made him even more certain that valuable information was hidden here. Whether it was here or not, as long as he thought it was, then it definitely was!

If there wasn't, he would interrogate them until there was, then prove they were lying, and only then confirm there wasn't.

"It seems you know something that interests me."

Kira Yoshikage's voice was steady, betraying no emotion, yet carried an undeniable pressure. He pulled out the magazine he had earlier from his pocket.

He took out a bullet and flicked it lightly. The bullet directly sliced through a researcher's skull, leaving a blood groove, and at a speed far exceeding the limits of human observation, it pierced through the laboratory wall, revealing a small, deep black hole.

"Will you tell me yourselves, or do I need to help you... 'organize' your thoughts?"

One of the older researchers couldn't bear the pressure. 'These are special alloy walls that can withstand grenade bombardment... What kind of monster is this? A Stand User like Jotaro-san?'

After gritting his teeth, he looked at his companion next to him, who had fainted from fear due to the bleeding from his head. He steeled his resolve and, trembling, pointed to a shadowy corner deeper in the vault, where a hidden door almost blended into the wall.

"In... inside are some research materials hidden by the corporation. This should be what you're looking for..."

Then he exploded, completely turning to dust and ashes. An invisible explosion simply wiped him out.

"I don't need research materials, and don't try to fool me with such trivial things. I can tell whether you're lying."

Kira Yoshikage's expression was calm. Killer Queen Requiem could see through everything within a 20-kilometer radius. He also used this to pinpoint the arrow, although the information flow from his clairvoyance was too vast for Kira Yoshikage's current brain to process.

But as long as he had relevant information, he could narrow down the target and lock onto it directly. He had just locked onto the other person's cerebral cortex and, through the reactions of the cerebral cortex, determined that the person was indeed lying.

Kira Yoshikage calmly shifted his target to a researcher who had shown fear after witnessing the explosion. "You speak. If you don't tell the truth, or if you speak too slowly, you'll end up like him."

The young researcher was so frightened that he sat directly on the ground, a stream of urine seeping out, completely soaking his pants, then instantly drying. He screamed loudly.

"Wait, no, I'll talk! I heard that this place is also responsible for protecting some special people. Yes, protecting these special people! Wait, sir, please don't do anything, I'll tell you whatever you ask... I..."

"Protected targets?" Kira Yoshikage's eyebrows twitched slightly. He had only vaguely sensed it, never expecting such an unexpected gain.

He wasn't very interested in who the "important protected targets" specifically were, but his intuition told him this might become a useful bargaining chip, or at least help him figure out what was causing his sensation.

"Where?" he asked concisely. There were too many people everywhere; how could he know who was being protected?

The researcher trembled as he pointed downwards. "They're on Basement 2..."

Then, in a flash, Kira Yoshikage was gone. He directly blew up all the staircases leading to Basement 2 and jumped down, reaching Basement 2 in the blink of an eye at the fastest speed.

Hey, actually, he directly carved a straight path down, and right in front of him was a huge blast door. The location was really good; it looked like a safe house.

But no matter how heavy the blast door, it was useless in front of Killer Queen. Another precise and silent explosion reduced the lock to nothing.

The scene behind the door came into Kira Yoshikage's view—a well-equipped but now slightly crowded safe house, where several people were huddled together in terror. His gaze instantly locked onto a few of them.

A middle-aged woman in a kimono, though frightened, was trying to remain calm. Her face was full of confusion as she looked at the guy who suddenly appeared and that terrifying man-cat-like Stand.

A younger girl, clutching an old camera, with timid eyes, was cowering in the woman's arms. Next to her stood a young American woman, who was her mother.

Besides them, there were a few other people he recognized, family members of Koichi and the others, but that wasn't important. What was important was that these three people gave him a familiar feeling, or rather, the old woman and the little girl felt very special.

"You are Jotaro's family."

Kira Yoshikage's gaze lingered on Holly and Jolyne's faces for a moment. That familiar sense of annoyance became clearer—it was the bloodline aura of the Joestar Family. Seeing the terrified fluctuations in their brains, he became even more certain of this.

"Yare yare..." Kira Yoshikage subconsciously used a catchphrase he would never admit to imitating someone, his tone carrying a hint of annoyance.

"It seems I can settle scores with the Joestar Family in advance. Hmm, this little girl must be Jolyne Cujoh. She's quite cute, what a pity."

This should be the original, and only, female JoJo. In his previous life, when he watched the anime, he quite liked this girl. She was self-reliant and hardworking.

Although her Stand was a bit weak, she developed it extremely well, and her tenacious spirit was truly a Golden Will. She was a strong-willed, good girl, truly excellent, and very devoted to her loved ones, even being induced into crime.

The only problem was that her sexual preferences were a bit off. According to his conclusions from watching the anime in his previous life, this young girl would likely be pansexual when she grew up, and somewhat superstitious about God. Her whole personality was very conflicted... However, no matter how much he liked this character in his previous life, it didn't affect his decision to kill her. Otherwise, he wouldn't have chased the protagonist group before.

And whether she was pretty or not didn't matter. Not to mention she was just a little girl who hadn't grown up yet; even the beautiful and fiery Tomoko Higashikata was still tortured and killed by him, wasn't she?

For him, a peaceful life was the top priority. To this innocent little girl, he could only say he was sorry.

Kira Yoshikage's thoughts stirred. Killer Queen merely leaned forward slightly, and an invisible killing intent froze them in place, daring not to move. He could detonate everyone within this range at any time.

Looking at the terrified people before him, the corners of his mouth couldn't help but curl up. "Hello, let me introduce myself. Kosaku Kawajiri. You can also call me Kira Yoshikage. Oh, and to add, your families and I seem to be mortal enemies."

...Is it better to capture them as hostages, or just kill them directly? Let's vote.

Also, personally, I lean towards hostages. If no one votes or the votes are tied, I'll choose hostages. But if more people want to kill them, then I will respect the readers' wishes and kill them directly.
