Chapter 72 - Chapter 72: Special Forces

(Decided by vote, the main enemies are cyborgs similar to Stroheim, with only a few Stand Users)

The ruins of Naples had already become scorched earth.

Kira Yoshikage stood amidst the smoke and debris, his four arms slowly moving like the limbs of a predator. The American vanguard suffered heavy losses before him.

Tank wrecks were scattered like toys, and helicopters became burning gravestones in the sky.

To him, tanks were like canned meat waiting to be opened, and planes were like sparrows waiting to be hit by his slingshot. Conventional armed forces were completely useless against him; even missiles launched in between were directly neutralized by his Killer Queen.

All of this was filmed and spread wildly across the world. Although the US reacted later, using its global media hegemony and network control, it suppressed the news to some extent.

But none of this worked. Public opinion continued to ferment, and through the actions of certain individuals, this incident and the golden light pillar event happening in Japan were widely circulated.

Countless conspiracy theories erupted: why the US created bio-humans only for them to defect, that lizard people controlled the US, that residual Soviet agents became supermen, and various other rumors flew everywhere.

Therefore, the US military decided it was time to strike hard!

Special forces must be deployed for a swift victory!

And so... Kira Yoshikage, who had just found an intact house and planned to rest and formulate a plan to find Diavolo, was disturbed.

He looked up and saw that the enemy had already arrived.

In the sky, there were not traditional helicopters, but dozens of extremely bizarre aircraft, as if biotechnology and jet engines had been brutally combined!

They lacked traditional cockpits, were streamlined and shuttle-shaped, covered with wriggling unknown biological tissue and cold metal armor. Their engine nozzles glowed with an ominous blue flame, and their speed far exceeded conventional fighter jets, emitting a piercing shriek like a swarm of bees!

On the ground, heavy footsteps echoed like drums! A hundred 'soldiers' appeared from the end of the ruins. They had just been air-dropped by planes, directly thrown from the sky, yet they were completely unharmed.

Well, it might have been the parachutes, or perhaps their own physical constitution.

Their bodies were much larger than ordinary humans, nearly three meters tall, a grotesque fusion of machinery and wriggling flesh.

They were covered in various weapons: firearms, rubies, and all sorts of cold weapons, some even had cannons installed on them.

Most of their heads were simplified or modified; some only had cold electronic eye sensors, while others retained complete human faces, displaying arrogant expressions.

They did not shout; only cold electronic synthesized voices echoed in the communication channels, ignoring all recoil as the terrifying weapons in their hands simultaneously spewed destructive flames!

Directly striking Kira Yoshikage.

"What the hell are these things? Are they all cyborgs like Stroheim? The technology seems more advanced, and why are there so many?"

Kira Yoshikage cursed under his breath, but had no choice but to deal with them, though he didn't feel they posed much of a threat.

Unless they were hiding some Stand Users.

In an instant, the sky and ground were completely covered by an unprecedented storm of metal!

Autocannon bullets, miniature missiles, plasma beams, high-frequency sound waves... various unconventional munitions poured down on Kira Yoshikage like a torrential rain! Their density and power were enough to instantly vaporize a small town!

And those bizarre half-flesh planes in the sky also dropped all sorts of strange things; some were aerial bombs, others were strange flesh balls. The flesh balls even struggled in the air, extending countless tentacles.

Killer Queen appeared behind Kira Yoshikage, reaching out a hand, and the little cars frantically shot out.

They charged directly towards the enemies, while Killer Queen turned the surrounding air into touch-activated bombs. All incoming aerial attacks instantly exploded and vanished upon entering the range.

Only some lasers and sound waves managed to hit Kira Yoshikage, taking him by surprise.

"Are these weapons technology that should exist in this era...?"

With a laser directly piercing his chest, Kira Yoshikage looked at the wound with some confusion. The wound was extremely smooth, meeting no resistance, easily penetrating his now incredibly sturdy body and directly going through his heart.

He looked at his attacker, who wanted to hit him again. It was a bizarre monster covered in red stones, with a giant ruby on its back, and smaller rubies on its chest, hands, and eyes.

The laser that had just pierced Kira Yoshikage's heart came from its eyes. At this moment, its hands had also become incredibly bright, about to fire lasers.

"Ga-ga-ga, taste the power of human technology, kid!"

And a voice also entered Kira Yoshikage's ears. The sound was incredibly resonant, directly shattering a large number of Kira Yoshikage's blood vessels from the inside out.

"You're injured! You've exposed a weakness! Die!"

At the same time, several close-combat modified humans, believing their bodies to be tough, rushed forward with various swords and blades, but were instantly smashed into pieces by Kira Yoshikage's casual strikes.

Meanwhile, in the shadows, someone was quietly taking notes.

"Bullets, ineffective. Bombs, ineffective. Infrasound, possibly effective. Melee weapons... completely useless, and wasted several cyborgs. Lasers, very excellent, significant effect, powerful lethality, investment should be increased!"

This encirclement of Kira Yoshikage was not only to eliminate him, quell the international public opinion storm, display military might to deter ill-intentioned nations, and seize the arrow in his possession.

It was also for training, to test whether these cyborgs were effective. After all, this was a combination of technology derived from Germany and their own currently immature research technologies. Previous tests had been very good, but practical combat was still lacking.

However, Kira Yoshikage didn't care about those attacks. His flesh merely wriggled, and the peculiar limbs on his body began to provide a large amount of energy, rapidly restoring his flesh to completeness.

As for the flesh balls flying down from the sky, they couldn't even touch him; as soon as they entered his range, they would be directly blown up.

His internal blood vessels were also mended. He merely glanced at the source of the voice, a guy equipped with several guns and some devices he didn't understand.

The opponent looked at his recovered body and fell into terror. Although their cyborgs also recovered quickly through flesh regeneration, that was by means of modification! But this guy was clearly a human!

"Goodbye."

At this moment, Yoshikage thought of Dio.

"That's a Red Stone, isn't it? Interesting. You've also given me a bit of inspiration. Let me try this move; I'll practice it too."

Kira Yoshikage's body rapidly swelled, a large amount of bodily fluid injected into his ocular blood vessels. Accompanied by a burst of wild laughter, he ignored the blood vessels slowly collapsing within him and the various strange attacks piercing his body.

After all, he wasn't afraid of any laser, infrasound, radiation, or even those somewhat bizarre gravitational attacks.

His eyes burst open, two blood columns mixed with various bodily fluids sprayed out, like two blood blades directly piercing the cyborg who had turned to flee. Then he turned his head.

The blood blades sliced horizontally, directly cutting the cyborg into three sections, and also cutting down several other cyborgs nearby who couldn't dodge in time. Their hard armor and mechanical structures provided no protection whatsoever.

"Pathetic."

Kira Yoshikage dismissively made his assessment, but just then, a hand appeared behind him.

A rift seemed to appear in space, a deep black opening emerged, from which extended a hand covered in red spikes, holding a small gem.

Kira Yoshikage seemed to sense it, wanting to attack behind him and directly detonate that arm, however, that hand seemed not to be in this world.

Only a beam of light was emitted.
