Chapter 2 - Chapter 2: Successor of the Main God

"Energy absorption normal, Main God Space initial activation peak reached, activating Main God Space..."

"Memory lock released, initial memory transmission commencing..."

As the mechanical voice echoed, an unbearable pain suddenly shot through Patch's head.

Countless fragments of memory flooded into his mind, making his skull feel as if it were about to burst. His ten fingers dug tightly into his scalp, veins bulging on his forehead.

"Memory transmission phase one complete, beginning phase two..."

A massive wave of memories crashed into him. If the previous pain was a mere appetizer, this was the full meal.

Patch clenched his teeth, his eyes bloodshot. He clawed at his scalp so hard that strands of hair were torn loose, but the sting on his skin couldn't ease the agony deep in his mind.

It was a pain that seemed to come from his very soul. His expression twisted in agony.

"Memory transmission phase two complete. Memory transfer finished."

"Aaah—" Patch let out a guttural roar, the pain vanishing as suddenly as it had come. His head went heavy, and he fell backward onto the bed with a dull thud.

After an unknown amount of time, Patch slowly regained consciousness.

"What's going on?" he muttered, shaking his head as his awareness returned.

"Hello! Blue and White Society special logistics staff, your cute little transmigration assistant Augustus, at your service! Does the new Main God have any questions?"

A rough yet strangely delicate voice echoed in his mind.

Rough? Delicate? Why would I even think that?

And what's with this 'transmigration assistant'? 'New Main God'? What kind of nonsense is this?

Before he could question it further, a virtual panel suddenly appeared before his eyes, making him jump.

"Ahem! Any questions, new Main God? I can answer them all for you!"

On the panel appeared a man wearing a pink princess dress, a long braid down his back, a thick beard, and a chest covered in hair. The same rough voice spoke again.

"What the— a bearded Barbie?!" Patch shouted, stumbling backward in shock.

"What's a bearded Barbie? Could the great Main God please explain it to me?" the man asked, blinking his eyes and pouting.

"Oh hell no!" Patch shivered, goosebumps rising as a chill ran down his spine.

"New Main God—"

"Shut up!" Patch snapped. "Let me think for a moment."

The bearded Barbie pouted, his lips trembling pitifully as he stared at Patch with tearful eyes.

Turning away, Patch tried to piece together his memories.

The cliché line on the computer screen, the Main God Space, the forced transmigration, the emergency landing—all the familiar moments flashed through his mind.

"So that's how I ended up here?"

He held his forehead in despair. "That Main God really screwed me over..."

"Right, my memory was sealed," he realized. "I still don't even know what world this is."

That was the most important thing now—his very survival depended on it.

But based on how the Main God usually worked, it shouldn't be too difficult for a newcomer, right?

Resident Evil? Unlikely. If it were that world, the T-virus would've already broken out, and he'd be a corpse by now.

A normal parallel world? Even less likely. The Main God wouldn't send someone just to live an easy life—it wouldn't benefit it at all.

"Wait!"

A sudden thought struck him. "What did that bearded Barbie call me earlier?"

New Main God!

"Oh my god!" He turned toward the bearded Barbie, his expression frozen. "What did you just call me?"

"The new Main God, of course! Why?"

Hearing that confirmed, Patch froze for a second before bursting with excitement.

"I became the Main God! I actually became the Main God!"

Overwhelmed with joy, he laughed wildly, tears welling in his eyes.

"My cheat finally arrived—and it's a huge one!"

In his mind, the Main God Space was far more powerful than any system or protagonist mode he'd read about.

Bathed in sunlight, he felt like his long-lost dreams were finally returning. Soon, he thought, he'd be promoted, get rich, become a CEO, marry a beautiful woman, and reach the peak of life.

While Patch was lost in fantasy, the bearded Barbie watched his silly grin in confusion.

"Oh, right." Snapping out of his thoughts, Patch suddenly remembered something. "Why did I become the Main God? I thought I was just a reincarnator—number 000001, right?"

He stopped mid-sentence.

000001—that was the first reincarnator.

Seeing the bearded Barbie's awkward expression, Patch's face darkened.

"I knew it. Something's not right here. There's definitely a big secret. You'd better tell me everything."

"Alright, alright," the Barbie sighed. "Here's what happened..."

Patch forced himself to endure the strange voice and listened carefully. By the end, he was nearly in tears.

"I knew it! I got scammed!"

The previous Main God was named Kibadaye Tqianglovsky—a name that screamed chuunibyou just by hearing it.

After obtaining the Main God Space, he spent years restoring it to normal operation.

Then, excited beyond measure, he chose Patch's past self as the first reincarnator—a test subject.

Using his hacking skills, he infiltrated Patch's old XP computer and displayed that infamous infinite-flow line.

And so, Patch was forcibly transmigrated.

But soon after the first experiment, Kibadaye was discovered by the Blue and White Society Branch—the organization known as the Multiversal Association for the Protection of Transmigrators.

Against the most powerful group spanning every dimension, Kibadaye was easily captured.

The Blue and White Society's Supreme Court issued the following judgment:

"Given that the former Main God, Kibadaye Tqianglovsky, abused the powers of the Main God Space to forcibly transmigrate an Earth Federation citizen in an unsafe and inhumane way, the following sentence is imposed."

"His position as Main God is revoked."

"He is sentenced to 91,038 years in prison, effective immediately."

"His name will be displayed on the Blue and White Society's board of shame for eighteen years as a warning."

"Since his actions caused irreversible harm to Earth Federation citizen Chen Xiaoyan (Patch), partial rights to the Main God Space are transferred to Chen Xiaoyan as compensation."

—Signed by Chief Judge Lan Mu of the Blue and White Society Supreme Court.

"So, Main God, now you understand the whole situation, right?" said the bearded Barbie with a smile.

"Pretty much," Patch nodded, then frowned. "But what does 'partial rights to the Main God Space' even mean?"

"Well," Barbie explained, "after removing the old Main God, the Blue and White Society split the Main God Space into parts to better utilize its features."

"What you have now are only two functions—Skill Exchange and the Divine Authority tied to the title of Main God."

"Skill Exchange? Divine Authority?" Patch asked, confused.

"You can check the details yourself on the virtual panel," Barbie said. "I'd explain more, but my time here's up. If I don't return soon, the Chief will fire me."

"Oh, and the previous Main God felt guilty for what happened to you. Before handing over the space, he told me to credit you with one thousand Exchange Points."

"One thousand points transferred. Please check your balance."

With that, the Blue and White Society's special logistics officer stepped into the void, smiling mysteriously.

"I'm heading back now. Have fun in this world, Main God~"
