Elena's Home, 8:30PM
Third Person's POV
Elena stood in front of her dressing mirror at home dressed in the beautiful green gown she had bought from Gingy's high end boutique. The neckline exposed her beautiful collar bone. She left her neck bare and tied her hair in a high ponytail. She wore low heels and little jewelry.
Elena sighed and looked at her reflection in the mirror. She didn't want to go to Seraphina's engagement party but she considered Seraphina as a friend, especially Hazel.
A car horn sounded outside alerting Elena that it was time to go to the party. Checking herself one last time in the mirror. She nodded and decided she was okay.
She grabbed her purse and strutted out of her room, into the living room. After double checking that she had bolted the door securely, she joined Hazel in the car.
"You look beautiful, Elena", Hazel said smiling.
"Ahh, thank you", Elena blushed, "You look like the beautiful queen that you already are", Elena complimented Hazel.
"Really", Hazel asked wide eyed, "I always thought of myself as a princess."
Elena laughed and said, "You are a strong woman Hazel and no one can take that away from you, okay?"
"Okay", Hazel answered cheerfully and pressed the button of the car to start.
"How's your grandfather doing?", Elena asked.
"Ohhh. He's better than I am. He went to stay with some of his childhood friends in a home for the elderly."
"Ohh. That's sweet."
"What about Evan?", Hazel asked.
"He's still with the principal. It's safer there."
Hazel nodded and she put the gear on reverse and drove out of the driveway.

At Silver-Birch Mansion, 9:15PM
Elena looked in awe at the white mansion in front of her. Guests flocked in, dressed in various brands and styles of clothing.
"Wow", Elena exclaimed softly as she stepped out of the car.
Hazel got out of the car and locked it with the car's remote. Putting the remote into her purse and clutching it by her side.
Hazel walked over to Elena's side.
"Come on. Seraphina will be waiting for us", Hazel urged Elena. She intertwined their arms together and they waltzed towards the mansion's entrance.
*
Hazel and Elena stood at a corner of the mansion waiting for Seraphina to show up and greet them but she was nowhere to be found.
"I wonder where she is right now?", Hazel thought out loud.
"Yeah me too", Elena said. She was starting to feel uncomfortable under the many glances of socialites walking past them.
"I have an idea", Hazel said almost immediately.
"What is it?", Elena asked.
"What if Seraphina is stuck doing her makeup", Hazel said, making Elena blink at her statement.
"She might be trying to impress her fiance", Hazel whispered into Elena's ears.
Elena nodded. What Hazel said made a lot of sense.
"Wait here", Hazel said putting a gentle hand on Elena's shoulder, "I'll go get her."
"Don't be gone for too long"
"I won't."
Hazel stood up and Elena watched as she disappeared into the crowd.
****
Hazel walked to the elevator that led to the Birch's fourth floor which was the last floor but unfortunately it was cut off from the power supply.
"Ohh", Hazel groaned, "Security is tight today. I'll just take the stairs."
Hazel looked at the long flight of stairs and muttered one last motivating word to herself. She began to ascend.
When Hazel reached the second floor, there were only a few people. All who were wearing maids uniform and by the time she reached the third floor it was empty.
She paused for a bit on the third floor. Her phone vibrated and when she opened her purse to bring it out, she saw the caller was her grandfather. She quickly picked the call.
"Grandpaaa…Yes!... I'm at Seraphina's engagement party… No. I think she's shy… Because she hasn't come out to welcome her guests…(Giggles)...Okay, Bye…Love You too…(Giggles)... You can hang up now."
Hazel placed the phone in her purse, sighed and continued the ascent. When she reached the fourth floor, she was hit by cold air. All the windows were opened.
She hugged herself and called softly, "Seraphina."
Hazel walked a little while until she started hearing moaning and groans. She turned into a corner and was met with a shocker when she saw a Seraphina seated calmly on a white cushion wearing an ethereal white dress folded up to her stomach with a woman whose black hair cascaded over her body straddling Seraphina.
The unknown woman had her hand over Seraphina's shoulders and buried her face on Seraphina's neck. Seraphina had an arm over her waist and she smirked in satisfaction as she saw Hazel's confused gaze.
Seraphina stopped moving but the woman kept on moaning and making lewd sounds.
"Finally", Seraphina sighed, "I was beginning to think when the lovely lady Hazel, the darling of Thide country will climb the stairs searching for the lady of the hour."
Hazel, who was still wide-eyed, finally found her voice.
"Se… Seraphina. What… are you doing?"
"Ohh", Seraphina said amused as she tightened her arms around the unknown woman's waist, "I do LOVE women!". She concluded, grinning.
The unknown woman moaned lewdly and Seraphina abruptly pushed her to the floor and stood up while she adjusted her white gown properly and smoothened the edges.
"You are cheating on Collins? Don't you love him", Hazel asked fixated on a spot.
"I don't know", Seraphina said walking slowly to Hazel while the unknown woman crawled away slowly. "But I do know that he worships me."
"You are not a good person", Hazel concluded and attempted to flee but it was too late.
Seraphina leaped towards her in heels, gripped her by her hair and turned her head forcefully to her side. Tears streamed down Hazel's face as she gazed in horror at the wide grin on Seraphina's face. They were standing in front of an open window.
"My dear Hazel. Everyone has good and bad in them", she then used a thumb to clean Hazel's tears and licked them, "We just choose which one of them to show people."
Seraphina brought her face very close to Hazel's and sniffed her gently, "Unfortunately, I choose to show you my bad side."
Hazel swallowed and said, "Please let me go."
Seraphina smiled gently, "Alright."
She then pushed Hazel with force down the window looking at her as she screamed and plummeted down.
