In Loushan Alley, Su Han followed Su Meiyou, the dimly lit passageway casting long shadows on the ground. The air was thick with the smell of dampness and decay, and the flickering streetlights above cast an eerie glow. Su Meiyou walked ahead, her heels clicking on the worn pavement, her figure silhouetted against the faint light.
Su Han quickened her pace, her curiosity getting the better of her. "Meiyou, what's going on? You said you wanted to talk," she called out, her voice echoing off the alley's walls.
Su Meiyou didn't respond, her pace steady and deliberate. Su Han's unease grew with each step, the silence between them becoming increasingly oppressive.
As they turned a corner, the alley grew darker, the shadows deepening. Su Han's instincts screamed at her to turn back, but her feet seemed to move of their own accord, following Su Meiyou deeper into the alley's depths.
All of a sudden, someone appeared behind Su Han and pressed a handkerchief to her nose and mouth, trying to suffocate her. Su Meiyou finally turned back and scoffed at Su Han.
Su Meiyou's eyes gleamed with malice as she gazed at Su Han's struggling form. "You really thought you were so kind and selfless, didn't you?" she sneered. "Always helping me with my schoolwork, always there to lend a hand. But you were only a tool meant to be used and discarded. You were just a fool, blind to everything around you."
Su Han's vision began to blur, but she could see the venom in Su Meiyou's eyes. She tried to speak, but her words were muffled by the handkerchief.
Su Meiyou's mocking smile grew wider. "And Gu Yichen, your precious boyfriend? He's been mine all along. We've been laughing at you behind your back, at your pathetic attempts to hold onto him. You're just a placeholder, Su Han. A temporary distraction until he got tired of you."
Su Meiyou's words cut deep, but Su Han's body felt heavy, her mind foggy. Her breaths got slower and finally she stopped moving. "She is dead"The gangster who held Su Han and dropped her body to the floor.
"Take this money and make sure you lay low for now"Su Meiyou walked away after paying the gangster the money.
She got a call from her mom immediately. "Have you finished the job?"Su Meiyou mother asked. "Yes mom. I am on my way home"Su Meiyou smiled. She had always hated Su Han and wanted to get rid of her. She competed with Su Han on everything and though everyone loved Su Meiyou more she still saw Su Han as a pest.
Su Han eyes opened as she touched her head. It hurts. "Where is she? Who had this body"She thought looking at her legs and hand. Suddenly, different information flew in her head.
Su Han relaxed a bit and tried to process the information in her head. The owner of this body was Su Han who was used and discarded by her family. The heavens had made her enter Su Han body to give her a chance to live again and also help Su Han take revenge.
Su Han creased her brows. Imagine she the leader of the Silent Blade whose name would make others fear was reincarnated in the body of a pushover who wasn't loved at home. To make it worse, from the information she processed, though her family is rich she didn't own a penny.
Walking back home, she heard some gunshot and with instincts she immediately hid. A hand touched her from the back. Su Han turned and was about to kick him when she realized he had a bullet on his thigh and blood was tricking out badly.
"Please save me"Yan Xin whispered. Su Han frowned. She was just given a chance to live, she didn't want to be an enemy to the gangster chasing him. After some thoughts she decided to save him. She removed her scarf and tied it to the guy thigh to stop the blood from leaking and the gangsters tracing the blood.
She immediately searched into Su Han memory and found a location where they could both hide. She tried carrying him but he weighed a lot. Dammmn!! She said looking at the fat on her body. She need to begin excersing
"Can you lift yourself?"Su Han whispered. Since she was once an assassin she had a great hearing system and realized the gangsters would soon get to their location.
Yan Xin nodded and Su Han guided him to one dark spot in the Alley. It was beside the dustbin. Yan Xin felt disgusted, he was about to speak when Su Han kissed him to close his mouth. She did it based on survival instincts. The gangsters were nearby and they were with guns. She couldn't fight them with this body she is in currently.
Su Han frowned. Did she just give him her first kiss? Both in this life and her other life, she had never kissed or gotten intimate with a man.
"Boss. They are not here" One of the gangsters spoke. "Let's leave immediately. His people would soon get here"The boss of the gangster announced and they drove off.
Su Han waited for five minutes before she separated from Yan Xin. The place they were in was not really spaced so she still could hear Yan Xin racing heartbeat.
"I would go help you get drugs"Su Han tried shifting the mood. She walked to the next alley and went to a pharmacy. As the leader of Silent Blade, she was good at treating bullet wounds and some injuries cause she mostly saved her subordinates anytime they were at a harmful incident.
Su Han wanted to give him anesthesia but he rejected it. "So there was still people that rejected sedatives in this world"Su Han mumbled.
"It will hurt"Su Han hand moved swiftly and Yan Xin couldn't help but wince with every touch. Su Han probed the wound with tweezers. Yan Xin felt a surge of pain and grabbed Su Han neck tightly. His knuckles turned white.
"I am almost done"Yan Xin relaxed his hand and with a slight tug, Su Han held up the bullet. A small bloody thing between the tip of her tweezers. She immediately stocked the wound closed.
"Thank you"Yan Xin removed her hand from his leg. He was a neat freak and was repulsed by the blood on her hand.
"I will go change my dress"Su Han ignored him. She removed the necklace on him and walked away. "That is my payment for your treatment"She shrugged when Yan Xin stared at her.
Yan Xin was shocked to see her collect the necklace. That is the matrimonial necklace meant to be passed to his wife.
Su Han dress was stained with blood and she couldn't go back home like that. She went to the hotel nearby to lodge.
"Give me your cheapest room"Su Han was broke and couldn't afford to pay for the expensive ones. The receptionist stared at Su Han in a good way. "The cheapest room is 500yuan"
Su Han searched her pocket only to realize that she only had 100yuan with her. She felt embarrassed. She pretended to pick up a call and walked out of the hotel.
Yan Xin was found by his Personal assistant and guards. He had a watch that they could easily track to locate him. "Give me my business card"Yan Xin ordered Shen Yu. He placed the business card on the floor and walked into the car.
"I am sorry boss. We have sent Team 2 to go capture them"Shen Yu apologized as the driver drove off.
Su Han went back to meet Yan Xin in hopes that she would see money from him. He dressed expensive he should be well off. She thought.
Getting back to that dark spot, she didn't see anyone only stains of blood on the floor. She saw a card too there. Picking it up she realize it was a business card. "Why leave a business card if he can't leave money" She hissed and thrashed the card away.
She went back to the hotel and begged the receptionist to accept her in return she would help her with the night shift. She didn't want to go back home cause she still reeked of blood.
Chen Yulian, the receptionist was nice and agreed to let Su Han stay in the room meant for her. She also offered Su Han food.
In the Su Family House, Su Meiyou walked in to the parlor and yelled on top of her voice crying. She managed to attract the attention of all the people in the house.
"What happened?"Su Xin, Su Meiyou mother walked towards Su Meiyou anxiously.
"Mo…Mom"Su Meiyou hiccuped as she kept on wailing. "I was coming back with Su Han when she followed a fat old man cause he wanted to give her money"
"Mom. I am worried..Hope the man won't harm sis"Su Meiyou kept on sobbing. Su Xin immediately went into action as soon as Su Meiyou said that.
"Noooo…Su Han can't do something like that"Su Xin shook her head severally.
"Stop crying"Su Zheng, Su Han father and Su Meiyou uncle walked towards them. "That child has always been unfillal. Bring my phone let me call her now"He ordered the butler.
It was a norms in that house for Su Zheng to take Su Meiyou side without listening to Su Han. Who wasn't aware would think Su Meiyou was Su Zheng daughter not Su Han.
Su Zheng dialed Su Han phone severally but got hanged up. After three dials, the number was switched off. Su Zheng veins popped out he was so angry at Su Han at that moment.
