Michael didn't dwell too much on whether this thing was connected to the enormous head in Knowhere.
After all, if you haven't even seen the enormous Ancient Celestial head in Knowhere, how can you determine if the two are the same? Michael quickly focused his attention on the heart, which was violently trembling in response to his arrival.
"Does this thing have consciousness?"
Michael was a little surprised.
The enormous Ancient Celestial head in Knowhere didn't react much even when The Collector, Tivan, and his subordinates extensively developed it, so why would this heart in front of him react so strongly? However, compared to the head in Knowhere, which had become a dead object, this heart was still full of vitality.
With a continuous supply of souls from various unnatural deaths on Earth, the heart deep within the Earths core had never stopped beating.
Although the return of millions of souls to their origins did not help Michael's strength, for this heart, such a massive supply of original energy kept it vibrant, which was certainly not a problem.
After all, primordial energy is a very high-level energy. Although at Michael's level of strength, even high-level energy requires an enormous amount to be useful, it can still sustain a heart from Death, no matter how massive that heart is!
But Michael had never thought that those… souls, which had been torn apart, shredded, and returned to primordial energy, could still cause this heart to generate consciousness.
It's like Wakanda's Panther God, which was nurtured into a so-called Panther God by the continuous spiritual energy supplied by the Wakandan people. But that makes no sense!
These… souls that were brought here were all shredded and returned to primordial energy. How could this energy still generate consciousness? Impossible, right?
Or perhaps, the violent trembling of this heart was merely an instinctive fear of a powerful Multiverse-level Giant like Michael, sensing his arrival, and didn't actually possess any consciousness.
"No matter what,"
"I still need to investigate it myself to find out!"
In fact, Michael did not detect any soul, consciousness, or thought-like existence within this heart.
However, a creature with such a massive heart must have been an extremely powerful existence in its lifetime. Michael did not believe that his divine sense scan alone could fully comprehend it. Michael decided to enter this giant heart to investigate it thoroughly…
A sound similar to a small stone hitting a lake and sinking into it flashed by, and Michael smoothly passed through the outer wall of the heart, entering its interior.
For a Multiverse-level Giant of Michael's strength, the outer wall of the heart, which would be difficult for even a Single Universe Level powerhouse to break through, posed no difficulty for Michael, roughly equivalent to an ordinary person poking through a piece of paper.
"My goodness!"
"It's so massive inside!"
"A rough observation shows that this space is probably already… what the heck?"
Well, after passing through the outer wall and entering the interior of the heart, Michael only then realized that the space inside the heart was even larger than the entire heart itself!
"This heart's outer wall…"
"Also has the effect of isolating and confusing divine sense and similar probes."
This was a true scene that Michael's divine sense hadn't scanned before he entered the heart!
"Moreover,"
"It seems this heart is somewhat different from a human heart."
"That's right."
"This isn't a human heart to begin with."
Michael grinned, no longer surprised by the oddities here.
A human heart has two ventricles and two atria, totaling four chambers, and blood can only flow from the atria into the ventricles and not in reverse.
However, in the giant internal space of the heart before Michael, the blood that should have been present had all turned into golden-yellow, highly pure concentrated energy liquid. Moreover, in the upper part of the space, there were seven or eight spatial gates connected to other chambers!
Yes! They were spatial gates!
The various chambers within the heart were not connected and separated by valves, but rather by individual spatial gates.
Michael observed that as the primordial energy of those… souls from outside was drawn in, it first entered one spatial gate, was quickly expelled, and then entered a second spatial gate. Soon, this energy exited the second spatial gate and entered the third spatial gate…
But during this process, Michael discovered that those… energies, which had been returned to their primordial state, were gradually converted, step by step, into the golden-yellow, highly pure concentrated energy floating everywhere in this space.
After passing through each spatial gate, a portion of those… primordial energies would be converted, or rather refined, into golden-yellow energy. Then, after being expelled from the last spatial gate, they would completely transform into golden-yellow energy, merging into this space and becoming a part of these… highly pure concentrated energy liquids.
And these… highly pure concentrated energy liquids did not accumulate more and more.
According to Michael's observation, for every trace of these energy liquids that appeared, a trace would be consumed to maintain the heart's vitality.
This also explained why the heart hadn't exploded from accumulating too much energy…
"This is this heart instinctively refining all the absorbed energy."
Michael compared these… golden energies with the energy within his own body.
Michael found that these… golden energies were only slightly inferior to his own, but in terms of their energy essence, they were all of the same rank!
This also indirectly confirmed that the creature of this heart must have been a Multiverse-level Giant in its lifetime!
"Then,"
"Who killed this Ancient Celestial?"
Michael did not know whether this thing was an Ancient Celestial or some other ancient creature. However, from its energy attributes, it certainly wasn't a Cosmic Elder, as Michael had personally killed a Cosmic Elder before transmigrating to this Universe, and he could distinguish the energy attributes of a Cosmic Elder.
However, although the interior of this heart was different from a human's, its exterior was very similar to a human heart; otherwise, Michael wouldn't have immediately judged it to be a 'heart'!
Relatively speaking, Michael was still more willing to believe that this was the heart of an Ancient Celestial, as visually, Celestials and humans are quite similar…
"I still need to go find the Ancient One."
After successively entering and observing each spatial gate within this heart, besides discovering some peculiar organizations that were used for refining various energies, there were no additional new discoveries.
Although he still hadn't figured out what kind of creature this thing was, Michael still felt that his horizons had broadened.
Especially within those… different spatial gates, those… different peculiar organizations—Michael even conducted some experiments—these… different organizations were capable of efficiently refining various different energies, then converting them into the golden-yellow, highly pure concentrated energy in the vast space within the heart.
Their utilization rate was as high as: nearly 99.9%.
