Shaking his head to clear his mind, Draven concentrated his spiritual sense on the ring tattoo on his finger. The next second, his consciousness entered a dark space.
Before him, a square white slab floated in the empty void, covered in glowing golden writing.
[Dream God Ring]
[Dream Points: 150]
[Life Span: 17/100]
[Innate Dream Walker Physique (Mortal)]
[Shadow World Behemoth Bloodline (Mortal): 0.005/100(+)]
[Chaos Divine Ape Bloodline (Mortal): 0/100(+)]
...
Just below the square slab, three circular slabs floated, each marked with a number and the names of techniques.

[Tiger Claw Art: 0/100]

[Serpent Coil Style: 0/100]
[Flowing Bear Palm Style: 0/100]
....
Each circular slab recorded the techniques Draven practiced, while the square one displayed his basic information.
Contrary to public knowledge, when he had awakened his bloodline a decade ago, it was not a single one, but a rare dual bloodline. When an awakened bloodline is of a divine rank, there is a high chance it affects the individual's eye or hair color. Draven's purple eyes were a result of his dominant bloodline at the time, the Shadow World Behemoth.
As for Jessy, she possessed the Radiant Behemoth bloodline, which was different from his, hence her golden pupils.
Regarding his physique, Draven had no idea what its use was, so he had never bothered with it.
Next were the Dream Points. They functioned as a currency within the Dream God Ring, allowing Draven to set up dreams where he could cultivate any technique and assimilate the experience directly into his original body.
He had cultivated his first two techniques to a high realm in a short time solely because of this ring. Otherwise, mastering even one of them would have taken a genius at least fifty years.
The first technique, the Ultimate Demon Body Forging Art, was a forbidden technique cast aside by most cultivators due to its harsh training conditions and slow progress. However, if practiced to its peak in any realm, it could make a cultivator's vital essence equivalent to that of a magic beast, with speed, strength, and defense at the very top of the mortal realm.
The second technique, the Butcher Heart Sutra, was a martial intent training technique left behind by his father. It relied on killing and understanding the essence of slaughter to forge Killing Intent, one of the top-ranking martial intents.
The last one, the Five Mountain King Body Forging Art, was a technique he had recently acquired. It combined five different intents to temper the body and aura. According to the vendor who sold it to him, once mastered, his very aura would transform into that of a fierce mountain king with no rivals.
But Draven didn't care much for that claim. His only reason for buying the technique was to see if it could help him break the limits of his own body and step into the Ascendant Realm without the help of an elemental core.
His body had already reached the peak of the mortal realm, but without an elemental core or an inner world, advancing further was considered an impossible task; at least, Draven had never heard of anyone who had achieved it. But to achieve this impossibility and ensure he could protect his sister until she could look after herself, he had to push his body beyond its limitations. The threat from the Stonewill family was too great.
Draven didn't know their true strength, but he knew they were a branch family of the powerful Stonewill family from a different stronghold. They possessed a powerful bloodline called the Blooddevouring Leech.
This bloodline was weak when first awakened but had the overpowered ability to devour the blood of other creatures to strengthen itself. If it devoured blood containing a powerful bloodline, like Draven's or Jessy's, there was a high chance it could evolve into the Blood Moth Queen. If that happened, the Blood Moth Queen would possess the same abilities as the devoured bloodline and could continue to steal more abilities from others.
This was also why Draven had chosen to place his sister under the wing of the Golden Phoenix Academy; he knew all too well the allure Jessy's bloodline held for the Stonewills.
"Allocate 50 Dream Points to the Butcher Heart Sutra," Draven commanded the ring in his mind.
The next second, it was as if he had entered a dream. Before him stood a muscular man with a square-shaped face and a handlebar mustache. He wore only rags and bore a manic, creepy smile. In each of his hands was a cleaver, dripping with fresh human blood.
"Kill! Kill! Kill! Kill...!" the man roared at the top of his lungs and charged toward the endless number of human warriors surrounding him like a madman.
What followed was a bloody war between a single man, wild and unstoppable as a bull, and the fierce warriors who seemed equally ferocious. Draven had no idea how long he had been there, but he was sure it was at least years within the dream. Neither the man nor his enemies showed any sign of stopping as they fought fiercely.
The square-faced man was already wounded all over his body, but his injuries only made the killing intent around him burn colder and colder, until suddenly Draven was finally expelled from the dream world.
A vast amount of the square-faced man's experience merged with Draven's mind, making him feel as if he had transformed into that madman for a moment.
[Dreamer Slab: 2]
[Butcher Heart Sutra (Mortal): 100/100]
.....
Shaking his head, he exited the Dream God Ring and opened his eyes. He didn't continue adding points because each time he entered a dream, years seemed to pass, and he was living someone else's life. In the real world, over sixty minutes had passed, meaning he had spent nearly sixty years in his dream.
As Draven prepared to meditate and stabilize his state of mind, he heard a knocking from outside. Frowning, he walked out of his room to see who it was. Jessy also emerged from her room in her sleepwear, clutching her teddy bear plushy and rubbing her sleepy eyes.
Bang.. Bang!
The knocking grew stronger, causing Draven to pause mid-step. With a serious expression, he walked to the door and opened it.
"Draven?" a policeman in a light blue uniform asked as soon as the door opened. Five more officers stood behind him.
Judging by the aura they emanated, Draven estimated all of them were at the peak of the mortal realm.
Draven nodded slightly.
"We are here on behalf of the Golden Phoenix Academy to bring Miss Jessy Skywalker back to the academy," the policeman said with a smile.
Draven's brows relaxed, and he invited the men inside. After all, each held a high status in society, and making them stand outside felt inappropriate.
"Teacher Sam said he would pick Jessy up from the metro station tomorrow. I didn't expect him to send people to escort her," Draven said with a smile, gesturing for the six men to sit in the living room. "Jessy, go back to your room and pack your things. We will be leaving for the academy shortly," he said to Jessy, who was still standing there with a stunned look on her face.
"Mister Draven, you don't have to trouble yourself. We will escort Miss Jessy on our own. After all, Teacher Sam personally requested we bring the young miss back safely. How could we bother you?" one of the policemen said with a smile.
Draven smiled back as he leaned against the wall. "You guys are really good actors. So, where are you really from? The government, or the Stonewills?"
The faces of the six policemen changed in an instant. One of them frowned and asked in anger, "What is the meaning of this, young man? If not for our friendship with Teacher Sam, do you think we would come here so late in the evening?"
Draven looked at the six men's pictures of righteous indignation with a speechless expression. "Didn't you do at least basic research before initiating this lousy act?"
"What do you mean?" one of them asked coldly.
"Jessy's homeroom teacher's name is William, not Sam. And do you seriously think someone from the Phoenix Academy would send six people to bring Jessy back without even informing me, her guardian?" Draven asked indifferently.
"Haha... As expected of the Butcher Dev, you really are sharp," one of the men who had remained silent until now said with a hearty laugh. "Don't worry, these police costumes were just to fool your neighbors. We honestly didn't have much confidence in fooling you."
The others laughed along, as if everything had been under their control from the start.
