Chapter 16 - Chapter 16: Warning

Aria's heart skipped a beat as she heard Elijah's words. "What do you mean?" she asked, her voice barely above a whisper.

Elijah's eyes were intense, his gaze locked onto hers. The rogue pack was just the beginning, he said. There's something bigger coming, something that threatens the entire supernatural world.

Aria felt a shiver run down her spine as she listened to Elijah's words. She had always known that there was something bigger going on, something that she didn't understand.

What is it?she asked, her voice filled with curiosity.

Elijah's expression was grim. I don't know,he said. But I know that we're in grave danger. We need to be prepared.

Aria nodded, her mind racing with questions. She knew that she had to trust Elijah, trust that he would keep her safe.

As Elijah's eyes began to close, Aria felt a surge of fear. "No, Elijah, don't go to sleep," she said, her voice panicked. "You have to stay awake."

Elijah's eyes flickered open, and he smiled weakly. "I'm sorry, Aria," he said. "I'm just so tired."

Aria nodded, feeling tears prick at the corners of her eyes. "It's okay," she said. "You can sleep now. I'll be here when you wake up."

Elijah's eyes locked onto hers, and Aria saw a glimmer of trust there. "Protect yourself," he whispered. "Trust no one."

And with that, he was asleep. Aria sat there, holding his hand and wondering what lay ahead. She knew that she had to be strong, for Elijah's sake, for her own sake.

As she sat there, she felt a presence behind her. She turned to see Asher standing in the doorway, his eyes locked onto hers.

"What did he say?" Asher asked, his voice low.

Aria hesitated, unsure of what to say. But something about Asher's expression made her trust him. "He said that there's something bigger coming," she said. "Something that threatens the entire supernatural world."

Asher's expression turned grim. "I know," he said. "We've been getting reports of strange occurrences, strange creatures. We don't know what's causing it, but we need to be prepared."

Aria's eyes widened as she realized the scope of the problem. She knew that she had to be part of the solution, had to help in any way she could.

"I want to help," she said, her voice firm. I want to be part of this.

Asher's eyes locked onto hers, and Aria saw a glimmer of approval there. I'll teach you,"he said. We'll face whatever is coming together.
