Chapter 4 - Chapter 4 :The hidden truth

Aria and Luna spent the rest of the day researching the Lycan legend, scouring the internet and local libraries for any mention of the supernatural creatures. Aria's mind was reeling with questions and doubts, but she couldn't shake the feeling that Asher's words held some truth.

As the sun began to set, casting a warm orange glow over the small town, Aria and Luna decided to pay a visit to their grandmother, Granny Elara. She was a wise and knowledgeable woman, well-versed in the local folklore and mythology.

Granny Elara lived in a cozy little cottage on the outskirts of town, surrounded by a lush garden filled with herbs and flowers. Aria and Luna walked up the winding path, the scent of lavender and chamomile filling the air.

Granny Elara greeted them warmly, her eyes twinkling with curiosity. "Girls, what brings you here today?"

Aria hesitated, unsure of how to broach the subject. But Luna took her hand, her eyes locked on Granny Elara's. "We've been hearing some strange stories, Grandma. About Lycans and packs and alphas."

Granny Elara's expression turned serious, and she ushered them inside. "Come, girls. We need to talk."

Over steaming cups of tea, Granny Elara began to tell them a story, her voice low and mysterious. "The Lycan legend is old, dating back to ancient times. It's said that certain families were blessed with the power to shift into wolves, to run with the pack under the full moon."

Aria's eyes were wide with wonder. "Is it true?"

Granny Elara's eyes locked onto hers. "I don't know, Aria. But I do know that your family has a... unique history. Your ancestors were known for their strength and courage, and some say they had special gifts."

Luna leaned forward, her eyes sparkling with excitement. "What kind of gifts?"

Granny Elara smiled. "That's a story for another time, dear. But I think it's time Aria knew the truth about her heritage."

Aria's heart was racing. What did Granny Elara mean? What truth was she hiding?

Just then, a loud crash echoed from outside, followed by the sound of growling and snarling. Aria's heart skipped a beat as she felt a surge of fear.

Granny Elara's expression turned grim. "It's started. We need to get you girls to safety, now."

Aria and Luna exchanged a terrified glance. What was happening? And who – or what – was coming for them?

As they rushed to prepare for whatever was coming their way, Aria couldn't shake the feeling that her life was about to change forever...
