Chapter 9 - Girls’ Antics

Looking at the wooden cabin still some distance away, the Captain clenched her fists and whispered to herself:

"Come on… once we're inside, we will dry up."

"Excuse me, is anyone here?"

The long-sealed door creaked open, revealing a bulky figure stepping in from the blizzard.

Inside the small cabin nestled in the snowy plains, silence greeted them. The Captain exhaled, unzipping her coat and gently releasing the two girls she'd been shielding from the cold.

Bronya, ever efficient, immediately began scanning the room. Her eyes landed on a pile of firewood and kindling tucked in a corner. She scooped them up and hurried back to the Captain, her usual stoicism barely masking the sparkle in her eyes.

"This cabin is probably used by hunters for rest. Look—there's even firewood left behind."

She nudged the bundle toward the Captain, her lips twitching upward in anticipation.

The Captain smiled and rewarded her with a gentle pat on the head, then took the firewood and began preparing a bonfire in the center of the room.

Bronya sat quietly beside her, expression neutral—but the joy in her eyes was unmistakable. It radiated toward Kiana like a silent challenge.

Kiana frowned.

She knew it was just the lingering effect of the time rewind. But still… the Captain was hers.

And then—huh?

Both girls froze, eyes wide, staring at the figure by the fire.

The Captain sighed, glancing down at her damp clothes.

"I was so focused on Kiana and Bronya, I forgot I was covered in snow too…"

She peeled off her outer layers, laid them near the fire to dry, and stretched her hands toward the flames.

Warmth seeped into her fingers. Her breath fogged gently in the air. Despite the icy wilderness outside, the Captain felt a rare moment of peace.

She wasn't the only one.

Kiana and Bronya's eyes were locked on her—dry, cracked, and refusing to blink.

They didn't know what was wrong with them. They weren't supposed to be like this.

But something about the Captain—her posture, her presence, her quiet beauty—was magnetic.

The firelight danced across her damp undershirt, revealing the contours of her figure. Her relaxed pose, bold and unguarded, was a feast for the eyes of two girls whose hearts were hopelessly tangled around her.

Bronya broke first.

She covered her face, cheeks flushed, silently mourning the collapse of her cool Silver Wolf persona.

Kiana, on the other hand, leaned in with relish.

She's my wife. What's wrong with admiring my wife?

Even with her mind regressed by the time rewind, Kiana's boldness remained intact. She knew this moment wouldn't last forever. The Captain would eventually grow used to her new body—and then, this innocent window of opportunity would close.

Appreciating beauty isn't lechery. It's art.

Kiana inched closer, eyes gleaming, until she was practically inspecting the Captain's skin.

Then, the Captain reached down and gently stroked her forehead.

Kiana froze.

She blinked.

Then, without hesitation, she threw herself into the Captain's arms.

The Captain welcomed her with open arms, just as she always had.

Kiana curled up like a spoiled kitten, stretching comfortably, eyes wide with satisfaction. Then she turned to Bronya with a smug grin.

"See? The Captain still likes me, Kiana, the most!"

Bronya curled her lips in disdain, trying to ignore Kiana's smug grin that was practically levitating above her head. She turned her gaze away—only to catch sight of the Captain, kneeling by the bonfire, gently waving her over.

Bronya froze.

Her eyes flickered with hesitation. This was their first meeting. No matter how warm or beautiful the Captain was, surely her favorability hadn't reached that level yet.

Besides, Bronya feared that getting too close might provoke Kiana's wrath—and that would be… unfortunate.

She didn't care much about Kiana's opinion. But the Captain's? That mattered.

It was strange. Bronya had seen the Captain countless times in her dreams. But this was their first real encounter. Why did her heart stir so strongly?

She didn't know. But she knew one thing: distance was safe.

She was Bronya, the Silver Wolf. She was composed. Mature. Not a childish girl like Kiana.

…Or so she thought.

Because the Captain was still waving. And her eyes, glowing softly in the firelight, were impossible to resist.

Bronya understood then: she was already captured.

Not by force. But by choice.

The Captain would never restrain her. And Bronya would never struggle.

So, with a flushed face and a conflicted heart, she slowly walked over—under Kiana's smug, knowing gaze.

Kiana smirked.

Of course she came. Who could resist the Captain's embrace?

If someone truly didn't feel the Captain's warmth, that was fine. Everyone had their own tastes.

But if your taste didn't include the Captain… then please, disappear from my sight forever.

Farewell, tasteless soul. May you find your own flavor elsewhere.

Kiana squirmed on the Captain's lap, making space for Bronya, then resumed her blissful sprawl.

But Bronya didn't lie down.

Huh? What's going on? Is she actually that tasteless soul?

Kiana peeked up—just in time to see Bronya push her aside and claim both of the Captain's thighs.

Bronya closed her eyes, serene and satisfied.

"Bronya, what exactly are you doing?!"

Bronya opened one eye, calm and composed.

"Disturbing others' rest is bad behavior, Kiana. You're a naughty child. But Bronya is a good child, so I'll forgive you."

If the mercenaries of Siberia saw their legendary Silver Wolf like this, they'd probably faint from shock.

Kiana didn't care what they thought. She only knew one thing:

Bronya needed to disappear. Immediately.

She lunged like a tiger, ready to deliver justice—only to be caught mid-air by the Captain.

The Captain scratched her chin gently, like calming a kitten.

Kiana settled down, pouting.

The Captain sighed.

How did these two even get along in the game storyline? Oh… right. Mei. Mei was the peace maker.

She looked down at the two girls now fighting over her lap.

With a helpless smile, she stroked their heads and let them both rest there.
