Chapter 14 - Are You an Alien?

"You are… the Second Herrscher?"

Theresa's voice trembled as Sirin's aura fully enveloped Kiana.

Regret surged through her. She had only wanted to honor the girls' request to save Bronya. With so many elite forces accompanying them, it should've been safe.

But now—this.

Golden eyes locked onto Theresa, and Sirin's gaze sharpened with resentment.

"Isn't this the one who nearly killed me back then? Perfect. Today, I'll send you to hell with her."

Without hesitation, Sirin pierced Mei's chest and extracted the Gem of Conquest. She straightened, tossed the gem into her mouth, and swallowed it whole.

Mei collapsed, unconscious.

Sirin kicked her aside, found no movement, and turned away.

"Next…"

She floated upward, her gray-and-white skirt billowing with power.

She looked down at Theresa and Welt like they were insects.

"Hahahaha! My luck's incredible today. Just woke up and already found two pests."

Pink-edged black holes formed around the group, encircling them.

Snap—

Sirin snapped her fingers.

Spears of Subspace rained down like a storm, targeting Welt and Theresa.

Welt adjusted his glasses, sighing. Another Herrscher of the Void? This was a disaster.

They had to stop her here—or risk global devastation.

Thankfully, the Sea-haired Girl nearby showed no signs of aiding Sirin.

Theresa summoned Judah. Golden chains formed a protective net, intercepting the spears.

She smiled. Years of training had paid off—she was far stronger than during the Second Eruption.

Otto remained calm. His Soul Steel body could be replaced if destroyed.

Every spear was blocked.

Tch.

Sirin scoffed, hands in her skirt pockets, descending slowly.

Pink platforms materialized beneath each step.

Long-range attacks were useless. That traitor was nearby.

So she'd fight up close.

With two Herrscher cores and full energy, she was confident.

She approached, eager to see their despair.

Bang!

A golden-haired woman—Durandal—leapt forward and struck.

Sirin flew backward, tumbling across the ground before stabilizing.

Disheveled, she stared in disbelief.

"What…?"

Durandal stood firm.

How is this Valkyrie so strong?

If that traitor joined in, victory would be difficult.

Sirin's gaze shifted—to Wendy.

"Perfect. Another half-body nearby. Once I absorb her…"

She lunged.

Wendy swallowed nervously. She could feel it—this Herrscher's power dwarfed her own.

Sirin vanished, reappearing before Wendy, hand outstretched.

But before contact—

A hand grabbed Sirin's wrist.

"Hm?"

Sirin turned.

The blue-haired Girl stood there, calm and composed.

Sirin's eyes narrowed.

A Honkai Beast?

Her gaze turned disdainful.

But Xingyue smiled.

"My Lady Herrscher, Miss Wendy is my girlfriend. Please refrain from threatening her."

"Hmph."

Sirin withdrew her hand, scoffing.

"A mere Honkai Beast, daring to command a Divine Apostle?"

"You must be the companion of my half-body."

She raised her arms. Energy surged.

"Come, Benares."

"I'll let my servant deal with you."

A dragon's roar echoed.

Within seconds, a massive figure descended—Benares, the Judgment-class Honkai Beast from the Second Eruption.

(notes: Benares's speed has been adjusted for realism. Several hundred km/h wouldn't get her to the moon.)

Dust swirled as the dragon landed.

But instead of attacking, Benares hesitated.

Its hind claws retreated.

"Bella? What are you doing? Attack!"

Sirin barked.

But Benares's voice echoed in her mind:

"My Lady Queen… this Honkai Beast's rank is higher than mine. I can't defeat her."

???

Sirin blinked.

"You're joking. A Honkai Beast stronger than a Judgment-class?"

She roared.

Benares lowered her head, trembling.

She didn't understand it either. Judgment-class were supposed to be the highest.

But this girl… her aura demanded submission.

No other Judgement-class felt like this.

"Tch. I'll do it myself."

"Wait, My Lady Queen—"

Sirin ignored Benares and turned back.

But the moment she faced Xingyue—

She froze.

It felt like plunging into an ice cave.

Honkai energy, so dense it was nearly solid, surged from Xingyue in jet-like streams.

Her smile was radiant.

Her killing intent was suffocating.

Boom—

The energy burst sent Sirin flying.

Everyone's expressions changed.

This power… was at least twenty times stronger than the Herrscher of the Void.

Damn it. What is this creature?

Is this… an alien?
