Chapter 2: The Awakening of the Cosmic Foe
The void between worlds was silent until it wasn't.
Erevan's footsteps did not touch the ground yet the very fabric of the multiverse quivered with each motion. Time folded, dimensions layered upon each other and even the eternal observers the Celestials paused in fear.
From the farthest edge of existence a ripple surged. A consciousness older than creation itself had sensed the 9th Heaven's awakening. It was an entity of chaos and order intertwined a being whose name had been erased from the records of every plane Veythral the Fractured Eternity.
Veythral emerged a storm of galaxies wrapped around a body that defied form. Each glance from its void-born eyes could unmake worlds each thought warped reality. Yet Erevan looked upon it not with fear but with curiosity.
"Ah" Erevan said voice echoing across multiple universes simultaneously "So you are the one who hides beyond creation's veil. Come forth."
Reality itself trembled as Veythral responded. Entire star systems disintegrated planets vaporized and the laws of physics shattered yet still Erevan did not move an inch. Instead he raised a hand and the destruction around him froze mid-collapse. Time obeyed him. Space bowed. Even the concept of probability knelt before his gaze.
"You wield destruction" Erevan observed "Yet you lack understanding. Watch and learn the limits of even eternity."
With a thought Erevan reached into the raw essence of existence. Stars ignited in his palms. Black holes swirled between his fingers. Lightning and fire and void energy merged into a single cosmic stream pouring forth like a river of omnipotence.
Veythral roared a sound that shattered not only eardrums but reality itself and countered with energy that could erase dimensions. For a moment the multiverse seemed doomed to unravel. And then as if it were a mere game Erevan split the oncoming attack into infinite fragments absorbing each into his own being.
Every power every law every impossibility the 9th Heaven consumed it.
And then with a calm that made the eternal observers weep Erevan extended his hand.
The very concept of annihilation paused.
"Do you wish to end or do you wish to awaken"
Veythral's form faltered for even an entity older than time could sense the unshakable inevitability of the 9th Heaven. For the first time a cosmic being trembled.
Erevan's smile spread and the void between worlds began to warp under his will. Galaxies twisted into new forms black holes became vessels of knowledge and the laws of reality themselves rewrote their own rules to accommodate his existence.
And so the first true clash of omnipotence and eternity began not with a battle of brute force but with a show of absolute incomprehensible dominion.
The multiverse watched trembling. None could hope to rival the 9th Heaven.
