Chapter 244: Ignored
Hazel watches Julia leave in a hurry and sighs. Even with everything she gave, it still doesn't seem to be enough for Julia.
'One way or the other, I am going to figure out what's bothering you so much,' Hazel thinks and lies down on her bed as the scent of sex lingers in the air.
'I need to clean up before my husband gets home,' She thinks and gets to work.

Julia arrives back home and sees Adam's car parked in the driveway, which immediately causes her heart to race again.
That itch, that Julia tried to get rid of by going to Hazel immediately, started flaring up as she now knows Adam's inside the house, and any interaction with him would make things much worse for her.
Julia takes a deep breath and gets out of her car, and slowly walks up to the door. She hopes that Adam's not downstairs so that she doesn't have to look at him.

She pushes open the door and hears nothing but silence, which is the first indication of Adam not being downstairs, which is a relief, but as she makes her way in, her worst fear comes to fruition.
She sees Adam making his way down the stairs, dressed up from head to toe, looking exceptionally handsome.
As she sees Adam like this, she can't help but find her breath being taken away by how handsome he looks.
His face that's almost perfectly symmetrical, his beautiful, striking eyes, and that confident, smug smile he carries around with sheer arrogance, just looking at it makes Julia feel chills.
But it's not just his face, the shape of his body, his height, the way he carries himself as if he is the main character and everything in the world revolves around him; it gives Adam this aura that Julia can't help but be drawn to.
She hates herself for finding Adam this irresistible, but she can't help it. The most frustrating thing for her is the way he looks at her.
His eyes hold a great desire for her. Every time they look at each other, she always notices how he undresses her with his eyes as if she is always naked in his eyes, no matter what she wears.
Julia can see his thoughts running behind those striking eyes of his, the things he would do to her if he got his hands on her, and just thinking about him doing those things to her makes Julia's heart race.
But even with all the desire that he holds for her in his heart and mind, he doesn't put her on a pedestal like most guys would, no, he looks down on her as if she is just an object for his amusement, entertainment, and pleasure, Julia hates the way Adam views her, but she hates herself even more for finding his objective and humiliating gaze irresistible.
She wants Adam to look down on her, degrade her, call her names, as he does unspeakable things to her.
As Adam gets close to her, she smells the sweet but masculine scent coming off of him.
Julia can't help but press her lips together and scrunch her eyebrows as she wishes she could have just gave up on her goals, she wishes she would have submitted to Adam beforehand so that she could wrap her arms around his neck and press her nose against his neck to smell him as he grabs her by her ass with his strong hands, playing with her body as he pleases.
But she knows she doesn't have the luxury to be in Adam's arms, not when she is after his father's money; they are bound to be enemies until one of them loses.

'Maybe I can talk to her about Adam,' Julia thinks, and makes her way to her bedroom to change into something comfortable and then find Xu Lin.

An hour ago, when Adam came back, he was greeted with a smiling Xu Lin, who was more than happy to accompany him to his bedroom and use her mouth to pleasure him.

Adam is surprised. 'So this is what she meant when she said she was busy with something,' Adam thinks as Isla did mention that she had a prior commitment before their date.
