The whole circle had been jolted awake following Travis' cry and scream. The three cubs all stood up at once, their sleepy eyes rolling around to see what was happening.
Jordan himself came out from the spot he had gone to stay by himself, and on seeing Travis crying on the ground, he rushed forward immediately.
"What is it??" he asked, his gaze lifting to the fluorescent-looking figure dangling in the sky.
Jordan was confused. Where was Lucas? He had left him behind to pour out his rage. Why wasn't he anywhere close by?
So far, all of them had gathered together, with Kai and Derek already threatening to unsheathe their swords if any danger came again. But when nothing attacked and no presence could be found, they relaxed just a little—though the tension still lingered thick in the air.
Kai couldn't handle seeing Travis crying on the floor. He went closer and pulled him up into his arms.
