Lucas and Kai were both slowly rejuvenating as they lay at the base of a tree. From afar, you could see the bright beauty of Lucas returning as though it had never left.
Kai's injuries were all fading away, and adding to the beauty, the flowers from the gardens began to shed and fall on the floor, making the healing ground of the two appear grand and majestic.
They were both the closest companions to Travis, after all, so it was no surprise.
"Derek, my lips are going to swell up at this point. You're not letting me breathe." Travis protested, but Derek had swung him over his shoulder, not minding his complaints.
"I missed you, my love. Let me pamper you with this opportunity, since we're not running away anytime soon." As he took Travis away, he could literally hear grumbling from the cubs—their chance to play with their mama had been stolen. When they were far off, a big argument broke out.
