Shit went down.
What went down you ask?
Well am gonna tell you, you don't need to ask me twice.
On this very day, I wasn't there though but it happened and I saw the results.
I went to the hospital.
Why? Well my aunt has finally put to bed and it's a baby girl.
I do know how I and my brother argued about the gender of the baby and I am proud to say that I won the argument fair and square.
I had to go back to school that same day leaving my aunt in the care of her husband and my dad.
I arrived at school but getting to my faculty building I saw a crowd. Although it wasn't that much, I could feel the tension from the people there and I could also feel eyes on me.
"Jason what are you doing?" I said holding his hand.
I asked that question because as of that moment he had just slapped Sabra and before I could say anything he had already repeated the same action so I knew I had to step in because he looked damn furious.
"Nairim you're back, how's Aunty Sasha? How is daddy? Did you greet him for us?"
Why were they behaving like this, like they were trying to protect me from something.
I didn't answer them instead I turned them towards the direction of the three girls; Sabra, Cassey and Lilia.
The three girls seemed shocked and my good guess is that the boys literally forgot about them and what had been going on and turned their entire focus to me.
"What happened?" I asked again.
"We will discuss this at home." George said.
"Also listen the very next time you'd try to mess with her I do hope you remember what happened today," he continued talking to the girls whilst pointing at me.
" Let's go home." Jason said turning me towards the direction of the park.
"What happened at school today?" I asked again when we eventually got home.
"Nah it's nothing serious just forget it, tell us did Aunty Sasha birth a girl or a boy tell usssss!!" George said.
"To the parlour."
They know too well than to not follow me.
"I ain't repeating this question again what happened?"
"Fine." George said.
"When we got to school this morning that was after you left for the hospital.
We found out that our third and last class were cancelled leaving only the first and second one to hold.
Class ended and we were just about going to the hospital to see Aunt Sasha when they stopped us," George continued.
"They started saying all sort of rubbish about you and how you are just here because of our money, how you have been lying to us about some certain things, how you were once pregnant and aborted the baby.
They were just saying a whole lot of nonsense so I had to slap them to correct their senses." Jason said.
"Why did you slap them?" I asked.
"Well I knew that if you were there they won't be saying all the stuff they were saying so I decided to show them that even if you aren't there they shouldn't come saying all sort of nonsense about you to us." he continued.
"Well Aunty Sasha gave birth to a baby girl."
"Yes!! I won the bet."
Ugh that's George by the way.
Seriously these boys just forgot we were discussing something serious before I told them the gender of my aunt's baby.
Well they placed a bet with Jason betting on a baby boy and George betting on a baby girl now Jason has to pay us what he owns us.
Well the story is now been forgotten but I still remember it because the three girls always give me a dirty look whenever we come across each other but they know better than to touch me.

I know that something is about to happen but what.
The boys have been acting all suspicious for the past two days.
Today is Tuesday by the way.
We wrote our last paper on Monday which means, WE ARE ON HOLIDAY!!!
My dad was super happy when we all went to my house on Sunday.
Well according to my dad, he said he has been missing his sons so I decided to bring them to him on a day he'd least expect and he was happy.
Happy is actually an understatement he was overjoyed up to the extent that we had to go to go out to eat, my brother wasn't home when they visited sorry he missed a lot that day.
Back to what I was saying the boys are acting all suspicious so I've decided to confront them.
"What are both of you planning?"
"Huh!!" both of the responded immediately turning their gaze to me.
"Oh both of you shouldn't act like you have no idea about what I just asked.
Two of you have been acting so damn suspicious for two days now straight and I don't like that."
"Okay you got us. We_e are going on a vacation to Lekki beach."Jason said.
"Whattt!!!!!! OH MY GOD!!! repeat what you just said! Please please repeat it again I want to hear it again!!"
"I said we are going on a vacation to Lekki beach on Friday." Jason repeated.
OK I can cope with this information right? right. To much exaggeration but it's nothing the boys haven't seen before.
I had to start packing my bags oh sorry I meant bag I seriously don't like loads so yeah my bag.
On Friday we started our trip to Lagos, the boys had already booked our hotel and done every necessary thing they needed to do.
I discovered that they booked the last room in the hostel which happened to be a big room with twin beds and every other thing that a hotel room should have.
We stayed in Lagos for a week before we decided it was time to go back home.
Exam well written
Holiday well spent
Money well spent
No regrets.

I quite love how the boys were able to defend my baby like they really love her.
On the baby bets?
Like did everybody place a bet on an unborn child.
