Over the next few weeks, Leo's life settled back into its peaceful routine.
The issues with the Yukinoshita and Yuuki families had been resolved. Both households had accepted that their daughters were now Leo's servants and stopped interfering in their day-to-day lives. Aside from the occasional check-in, neither family asked about the girls anymore.
Yukinoshita Yukino and Yuuki Asuna officially moved into Leo's estate. Each had her own room. Yukino even canceled the lease on her apartment and moved all her belongings over. Unless something drastic happened, she likely wasn't moving out again.
Asuna also transferred to Sobu High with her family's arrangement, joining Class 2-J—the same class as Yukino.
All three J classes at Sobu High were international preparatory classes, composed of elite returnee students and those preparing to study abroad. Anyone in that class came from money. It was essentially the noble class of Sobu High. Asuna hadn't studied abroad, but signing up for the "pre-study abroad" track was enough to get in. The Yuuki family naturally didn't want their daughter in a regular class, so ending up in Yukino's class was more or less inevitable.
But Asuna's transfer caused a significant stir on campus.
And it couldn't be helped. Her looks were on par with Yukinoshita Yukino, her family background was even better, and her grades—well, with Professor Yuuki Kyoko raising her under elite tutoring since childhood, poor grades would have been the surprising part. On top of that, she excelled in traditional arts like flower arrangement and tea ceremony—good enough for the respective clubs to beg her to join.
So of course she caused a commotion.
Her impact wasn't any less than Sobu High's "Angel of Spring," Shiina Mahiru, a first-year who'd caused her own sensation earlier that year.
Back then, the angel's arrival had taken only a few days to sweep the school.
After Asuna transferred in, Sobu High students even gave her a nickname in private—"The Fifth Alpine Flower."
Separate from spring, summer, autumn, and winter—the fifth season.
Well… like how the Four Heavenly Kings usually end up with five members, Sobu High having five seasonal flowers wasn't strange at all.
So the title stuck. Her fan club sprang up immediately, and because Asuna was graceful and gentle by nature, her fan base quickly surpassed even Yukino's Winter Flower supporters.
However, not long after the fan club formed, her followers discovered something shocking:
Their alpine flower went to the Service Club room every single day, just like Yukino—and she often stayed close to Leo, always walking alongside the two girls.
Chaos ensued.
People whispered constantly.
What exactly was the relationship between these three?
Why were they suddenly inseparable?
And why did it feel like Leo was somehow the center of their orbit?
It got so bad that several third-years approached Leo directly for answers.
"It's just that their families asked me to look after them."
Leo wasn't about to casually call them his servants in front of normal people. So he tossed out a vague excuse. Ironically, it only made people twitch even harder.
"Their families?"
"You know their parents?"
"You've already met the parents?!"
That sent shockwaves through the school.
Forget the fan clubs—even random students were burning with envy.
This guy had the ultimate divine advantage! Even the teachers couldn't stop it!
So unfair!
Naturally, rumors swirled about Leo's background. How could he be connected to both the Yukinoshita and the Yuuki families?
Was he a hidden rich heir?
Honestly, it wasn't that hard to believe. His looks and presence alone were enough to mislead half the school.
Only Utaha, who had been quietly observing Leo from a distance, suddenly pieced things together.
"So Yukinoshita and Yuuki… are both his servants?"
The more she thought about it, the more it made sense. She finally understood why Yukino had been sticking close to Leo ever since that day.
Back then, Utaha had wondered what sweet lies he'd used to trick Sobu High's coldest flower. Now it seemed he didn't rely on lies at all—he simply turned her into a servant.
And by the looks of it, both families had already agreed to it.
"That perverted devil-kun is scarier than I thought."
Utaha grudgingly updated her impression of him.
Amusingly, she never brought up that night's incident again—not once. It was as if she had never summoned Leo, never learned about the supernatural world. She behaved completely normal.
But Leo had sharp eyes. He noticed.
The book-loving literary girl hadn't been reading much lately. She kept spacing out in class. Even when talking to him, something in her tone felt slightly off. And her long-running project, Love Metronome, had stalled—she hadn't sent Leo any new chapters.
At the same time, Utaha had gone to the local Chiba church during weekends and after school, making brief contact with church personnel, as if trying to verify the truths she'd learned.
Leo watched her quietly.
He didn't interfere.
Didn't warn her.
Didn't try to sway her.
If she didn't want to follow him—if she wanted to remain human and approach supernatural power on her own terms—he wouldn't object. He'd simply move on, find someone else, and continue expanding his power.
He never forced unwilling people.
Becoming his servant wasn't some terrible sacrifice. Look at Yukino and Asuna—he'd saved their lives, helped them master their Sacred Gears, given them power, given them a chance to escape their predetermined fates, even prepared territory for them. Long life, eternal youth—those were blessings.
If Utaha chose not to follow him, his loss was minor—a promising candidate he'd observed for a while.
Her loss, however, could be far greater.
As a Sacred Gear user, she might fall into ruin.
He would feel regret, but never that he'd lost something precious.
This path was mutual from the start. Leo didn't pick just anyone.
If all he wanted were high-potential servants, he could have gone straight to Kuoh Town and poached the yet-to-awaken Red Dragon Emperor.
The boy had a Longinus-class Sacred Gear like Yukino, but was considered the weakest Red Dragon Emperor in history. However, Leo—who knew the original story—understood his true potential better than anyone.
If he were truly hungry for power, he would've gone to snatch him before Rias Gremory ever had the chance.
Why stay here?
Two reasons:
—Devils had unspoken rules about stealing people from another's territory.
—And Leo simply didn't want someone like that.
He wasn't interested in a shameless, lust-driven male servant.
In fact, he didn't want any male servants.
Leo wanted beautiful women around him.
He wanted a comfortable harem life.
After a lifetime of hardship in his previous world, now that he was a high-class devil legally allowed to have a harem… why wouldn't he indulge a little?
This world was overflowing with heroines—strong, beautiful, overflowing with potential. Why bother raising a guy?
Leo, at his core, was a self-indulgent person. And becoming a devil only made him more so. He did things purely for his own comfort.
And by that principle, he simply kept watching Utaha… and did nothing else.
His days were spent with Yukino and Asuna, living a life that sparked envy and resentment across campus.
Behind the scenes, he trained both girls relentlessly.
Asuna continued learning swordsmanship under Miyamoto Musashi's guidance. She'd finally reached the point where she could fight with a blade.
Yukino studied during the day and sparred with Musashi on occasion, building her combat experience.
Sona Sitri stayed in contact with Leo, always checking on his progress. Not long after Asuna moved in, Sona even visited the estate again with Shinra Tsubaki to officially get acquainted.
Weeks passed like this.
And then, one night—
Utaha summoned Leo again.
She made a request that surprised him.
"Can you show me what a devil's life looks like?"
She framed it as a wish.
Leo raised an eyebrow and didn't even bother pulling out his device.
"Kiss me, and I'll show you."
Utaha shot him a sideways look and replied calmly:
"Then like last time—put it on my tab."
