The events that unfolded happened in a time way in the Sun God's past, but way in the future if compared to the world of the 510th game.
Back when the Sun God was but a young one, rather than having lived for hundreds of millions of years, those memories happened when He was only about 3,000,000 years old.
It was a memory Solatin had forgotten long ago, and thus was almost like reading someone else's story.
It was a world past the age of industrialisation. A civilization of firearms instead of swords, and evolved canons in the form of tanks.
The special part of this game was the absence of the prophet, or rather, the death of the prophet.
What could the Sun God do in this situation other than reveal Himself to His believers?
It was 1936, and a war that swept across the world had begun. Solatin, now commander of an army, stood at the battlefront between two powerful nations, both opposed in faith.
Solatin contemplated in His throne as the two sides of this battle traded blows, not just with firearms and tanks, but with supernatural powers.
Through all of Solatin's countless lives, this was one of the most bizarre ones He had entered in.
Ever since He had joined the play, several angels had emerged from it, some of them even becoming Devils in the future.
The war was bloody and merciless. Angels flew in the night sky and chanted spells one after another.
Solatin's short blonde hair moved slightly in the nightly breeze. He observed with passion, like the youngster He still was at that time, in His observatory chamber, the chaos that presented itself before Him.
He chuckled more than once, seeing the chaos erupting before Him.
The battle made no sense for both sides. Angels and soldiers fought on the same ranks without distinctions.
They flew in the air and clashed relentlessly. Some of them shot beams of light or cast spells to cause chaos through the battlefields. Orders were given left and right while people died and resurrected again and again.
All five of the available realms were being used at the same time.
Death.
Life.
Light.
Chaos.
Order.
All aspects of the Sun God were being thrown at one another relentlessly. To the golden-haired Monarch, it was an enticing and exciting display of war.
Death had no meaning in such a setting. Angels of death led an army of corpses in battle, making the dead rise as soon as they had fallen.
Angels of life revived their dead comrades without any rest. It was an infinite battle that seemed to have no end in sight.
All members of this battle had long surpassed the limits of the human body, all possessing wings and ageless bodies.
The government had the citizens evacuate as far as possible, fearing the shockwaves of the coming battle would cause innumerable deaths.
Solatin had let them do what they wished so far; such was the duty of the Sun God for Him, a benevolent and shining being, able to cast the light on others with His own.
Countless cities had been destroyed since the beginning of the endless battle, and Solatin still hadn't moved a finger from His golden throne. His white costume was still neat and pure from any speck of dust.
His golden gaze observed the battlefield, fire burning inside His irises
An officer in green attire approached the Sun God and bowed before him upon arrival.
The man had slicked back blonde hair and a piercing blue gaze that couldn't be seen very well from his bowing position.
"O Lord, pardon me for intruding. I came here to deliver the words of Sir Archangel Ragel."
Solatin pushed out a sound of intrigue at the officer's words. He didn't expect His most cherished angel to ask Him for a visit so early.
The Sun God grinned proudly. "Thou may deliver His message."
"Sir Ragel wanted to meet you at the Göttlischeiner to speak of an important matter, my Lord."
Archangel Ragel was one of the first angels summoned in this round. He had already lived for quite some time in this world, more than any human lifespan.
Unlike Solatin, Ragel was a tactician who preferred to rely on facts and strategies rather than absolute strength.
Of course, not every angel of Solatin was like this; a lot of them were more hot-blooded and relied on their over-the-top abilities to dominate the war.
Ragel was one of the few people in this world to bring something that the young Solatin didn't possess: Strategy.
The Sun God was far from unwise or stupid, but He had a tendency to rely too much on His supreme powers. Nobody would be able to oppose Him, this was sure, but the victory would only taste better if it didn't become a one-man show.
There was also a limit to how much Solatin could intervene.
Thus, the Sun God agreed to hear His angel's opinion in this war. He had no objections towards either chaos or order; the world needed both to function.
"I see, thou may depart."
The officer bowed once more and quickly walked away, probably fearing the God before him.
The Sun God did not even wait until the room was cleared before standing up from His throne.
The officer looked back at the Sun God and saw Him advance towards the barrier.
The golden-haired Monarch marched slowly towards the barrier set for aesthetic design. They didn't actually have any way to protect their Lord, nor did they need any to begin with.
The Sun God, with a single step, began floating towards the battlefield. His cloak moved with the wind as His majestic figure approached the bloody terrain.
Everyone suddenly turned to look at the figure high in the sky. His body blocked the moon entirely and covered the battlefield in a bright light that shone upon the entire nation.
The darkness of the night that covered the entire nation now turned into a bright, sunny day.
The Sun God made an exaggerated, slow gesture of a conductor with His arms and spoke a single word following that.
"Kneel."
The command was too intense for anyone to resist. To them, it felt like the gravity jumped twentyfold, making all of them kneel before the Monarch of gold.
The pressure that weighed on them was tremendous, so enormous that even the numerous angels had no means to free themselves or leave the battlefield.
The 'man' in the sky was from a completely different universe, one that lay far beyond their small world of angels.
The God slowly descended an invisible staircase towards the ground; His golden hair shone despite the bright sunlight.
He looked down at the thousands of soldiers who had once fought a couple of seconds ago. All of them now kneeled by a single word of His. A surge of pride emerged in His heart.
Nobody dared look upwards and face death; all of them obeyed the words of His majesty and patiently waited for the 'man' to descend.
Seconds turned into minutes, and minutes into hours; the wait lasted an eternity for the men and women on the ground.
As He finally reached the last stair, the Sun God chuckled slightly before taking the last step towards the battlefield.
His final step touched the ground, sending a shockwave through the world.
A feeling emerged in the hearts of everyone on the battlefield. A feeling that none of the participants had ever felt in their lives.
Simultaneously, all of them looked down at their chest and observed the cavity that formed on their chest, with only blood all around it, expanding all the way to the ground and covering it in thick layers of blood.
On the ground lay strange pieces of organs they could not recognize, but could quickly understand their origin.
The hearts of everyone exploded into pieces, with no explanation whatsoever.
They felt their souls slowly and painfully leaving their bodies, as they got pulled one after the other in a stream towards the body of the Monarch.
It was a bloodbath for Solatin, who could sense the souls of thousands around Him and gladly welcomed them into His own soul, devouring them and everything they contained.
Knowledge.
Skills.
Powers.
Memories.
All of theirs became His.
The Sun God looked at the thousands of bodies at His feet and faced the other way from His nation, towards the enemy.
He plunged His right hand deep into the middle of His chest, going through Himself and taking out hundreds of souls from His own.
He could not let Their Lord's soul devour his soldiers; this was out of the question.
He propelled the souls around on the battlefield and then looked at them as He executed a movement of rising with His arm.
"By ancient breath and bygone light, arise once more and reclaim thy life." His voice was dramatic and loud, as the souls of everyone heard the command.
Rapidly, the souls that had been roaming the battlefield took the form of human bodies.
They reclaimed their previous body just like that, as if nothing had happened.
A wave of terror and fear washed over all soldiers.
Solatin smiled and turned away. He began to float once again and snapped His fingers, retracting the light of His body and bringing back the supposed night.
"..."
The sky was still dark when Solatin arrived at the Göttlischeiner, the place where Ragel wished to meet His Lord.
When entering the room covered in the thick shadows, He could observe a single silent lurker.
The man was covered entirely in the shadows, not that His appearance was any different. The man had ordinary dark hair and eyes, with pale skin that did not make Him stand out from a crowd.
"Pleased to meet you so soon, my Lord." The archangel took off His military hat, bowed, then put it back on to cover His curly hair.
