Jason could not rest.
All night, his wolf paced inside his chest like a wild storm trapped in a cage. The beast growled, snarled, and scraped against his ribs, trying to escape. It felt something—something sharp, dark, and wrong. Something that told him Aria was in danger.
Jason stood in the middle of his room, fists clenched so hard his knuckles turned white. His heart beat fast, almost too loud for his own ears.
Aria… where are you?
His wolf whispered inside him, voice shaking with fear:
"Mate is hurting."
Those three words made Jason's breath catch. Rage burned inside him like a fire hotter than the sun.
He stormed out of the room.
He did not walk.
He did not move calmly.
He marched like a king ready for destruction he had already order all the members of the council to be gathered the The beta general, the gamma commander, and all of the war council were all waiting for him
He entered the great hall, and at once, the room filled with tension. The war council stood waiting — the beta general Draven, the gamma commander Kade, the elite warriors, the scouts, and the old advisors.
Every man felt the shift in the air the moment Jason stepped in. His aura was thick and dangerous. Even the torches on the walls flickered.
No one dared breathe too loudly.
Jason's voice cracked through the silence like thunder:
"Someone dared to cross into my territory."
He paused, letting the weight of his words crush the room.
"Someone dared to touch what is mine."
The council members exchanged nervous glances.
Jason continued, his eyes glowing gold:
"Someone dared to take a prisoner I had sworn to protect."
His wolf pushed forward, snarling from deep within.
"There is a traitor among us some is helping our enemies feeding them with information "someone here is a traitor"
A few warriors stiffened.
"But that will be dealt with later." we have bigger issues on ground now. fir a long time the silver claw have always thought they are stronger, bigger, and more powerful than us because we have stayed calm since my father's death, for the past seventeen years I had make sure there was peace the silver claw doesn't deserve peace but I chose peace because I knew my dad never liked war so I was peaceful in his honour . but tonight the silver claw will know that Alpha Jason is not is father .
He leaned forward, his voice dropping low and deadly:
"For now, we strike the Silver Claw Pack at midnight."
One council member stepped forward, trembling.
> "A-Alpha… attacking without proof could be risky—"
Jason's gaze snapped to him.
The man froze.
Completely.
Jason didn't even have to speak. His eyes alone were enough to silence him.
Then Jason said slowly:
"I am no longer patient."
He stepped closer, voice cold and sharp like a blade.
"We strike."
His power filled the hall like a storm.
"And we do. Not. Fail."
Every man in the room straightened their back and bowed.
Jason moved to the large war table. Maps of nearby regions were spread out. He placed red stones where Silver Claw's forces usually guarded. Black stones for his own army. His hands were steady, but inside, he was burning with rage.
He spoke sharply:
"Gamma Kade, take the east side. Their weakest point is near the mountain ridge. They always leave it unguarded."
Kade nodded.
"Scouts, take the rooftops. Use shadow paths. Do not be seen."
The scouts bowed.
"Elite warriors," Jason said, "follow Draven. He will lead you through the river path."
Draven stepped forward, eyes fierce.
> "Alpha, say the word," he said with a deep, loyal bow.
"We burn their gates."
Jason's jaw tightened. His heart squeezed painfully at the thought of Aria somewhere in that pack, maybe cold, maybe scared, maybe crying.
Guilt stabbed him.
If he had protected her better…
If he had stayed closer…
If he had not walked away
if he had not left her even though she didn't want to see him
His wolf whimpered inside him.
Jason clenched the edge of the war table.
"We are going to get her back," he whispered to himself.
"Even if I burn the world."
After the meeting ended, Jason walked through the stone hallway to a hidden chamber. The door was covered in symbols and moon marks.
Inside sat the royal seer — an old man, blind, with white eyes and long silver hair. He never spoke clearly. Every word he said came like a puzzle.
Jason stood before him.
"Tell me the outcome of this war," Jason demanded. I want to know if we would be defeated or victorious, victor said calmly
The old seer smiled faintly, touching Jason's hand held said " if I were to tell you that you would be defeated would you have backed down?? go away alpha it changes nothing. please seer I need your help at this critical moment " I need to know my fate" the seer then laughed and said
His voice echoed like many voices at once:
> "The knife you wield is sharp and cruel.
The light you desire is bright and burning.
Your curse is fire that will wound her,
But the greater flame within her will rise…
It will strike you down
And burn your kingdom."
Jason stared at him, chest heavy.
The seer released his hand.
Jason's lips slowly pulled into a cold smirk.
A dangerous one.
"Then let it burn," he said softly.
His eyes turned dark and wild.
"As long as I get her back."
( LENA'S POV)
Far away, in the shadows of Silver Claw Pack, Lena held her phone tightly. Her fingers were trembling, but her voice was calm as she spoke.
> "Alpha Leon, they are preparing for war."
There was silence on the other end.
Lena swallowed.
> "They plan to attack you by midnight."
She breathed out slowly.
Then she added in a smoother, colder voice:
> "But don't worry…
I have everything covered."
She opened her pouch and looked at the small bottle inside.
A thick, dark-purple liquid.
Wolfsbane.
Deadly.
Powerful.
Enough to weaken even the strongest Alpha.
Lena smiled softly.
> "I have just enough wolfsbane to weaken Alpha Jason."
