Meryl's POV

My body refused to cooperate. Standing there against the sink, my legs felt like liquid, trembling beneath me while my heart hammered against my ribs. Every inch of my skin still burned from his touch, as if Andre had left invisible marks that would never fade.

I couldn't think clearly. My mind was a storm of conflicting emotions, each one more overwhelming than the last.

The heat hadn't left my body. It pulsed through my veins, making every nerve ending sing with an intensity that terrified me. His hands, his mouth, the way he'd claimed me in this cramped space like I belonged to him completely. The memory sent another wave of desire crashing through me, and I hated myself for it.

This wasn't supposed to happen. Not again.

I should have pushed him away. Should have told him to go to hell and walked out with my dignity intact. Instead, I'd melted the moment he touched me, surrendering everything without even putting up a fight.
