Chapter 4 - Chaos in Multiple Tickets

Philip Hartwell didn't need an alarm clock. A deafening roar and a colorful explosion threw him from his non-floating chair straight onto the floor of the Magical Support Headquarters. A furious green dragon was flying through the main hall, trying to breathe fire, but every puff turned the floor into glitter.

"Great, great… just another normal workday," he muttered, standing up and brushing glitter off his shoulders.

On the floating monitor, three tickets blinked in infernal synchronization:

1. Stuck invisibility spell – missing elf

2. Out-of-control growth potion – alchemy lab flooded

3. Dragon out of control – immediate danger

Philip took a deep breath, recalling the old crises at the call center, and smiled sarcastically."Who said I didn't miss pressure? Only now, instead of angry clients, I have a dragon and a self-growing potion."

He started with the invisible elf, writing instructions in the air. Each letter shimmered as if alive, forming words that floated directly to the elf."Alright… raise your left arm, then your right, and say 'deactivate invisibility' three times. Simple, right?"

The elf, clearly frustrated, responded with exaggerated gestures, knocking things over. Philip rolled his eyes."Of course. Invisibility and muteness—the perfect combination to ruin my day."

Meanwhile, the potion in the lab began to overflow, flooding everything with liquid that changed color and smell every second. An alchemist screamed in panic:"Don't touch the mixture! It reacts to physical contact!"

Philip looked from the roaring dragon to the potion."Seriously… isolated disaster wasn't enough, so let's combine three."

He took a deep breath and began writing detailed instructions, shaking his head as the potion grew, reflecting his own despair.

The dragon, in turn, decided to test its flying skills inside the castle, breaking chandeliers and turning tapestries into sparkling flames. Philip approached, raised his hands, and said firmly, as if addressing an incompetent intern:"Redirect flight to the courtyard, please. And try not to burn anything important."

To his surprise, the dragon paused, tilting its head as if considering the instruction."Okay… maybe call center patience is the key to magical survival," he muttered.

Hours later, the chaos began to subside. The elf reappeared, the potion returned to a manageable state, and the dragon finally made its way to the courtyard. Philip leaned back in the floating chair, exhausted but strangely satisfied.

He took a deep breath and muttered,"So that's it… I'm not a hero, I don't save worlds gloriously, but apparently I can keep an entire kingdom running… with reasoning and absurd luck."

As the magical sun set over the castle again, Philip realized something: surviving in this world didn't require strength or supreme magic—just someone who understood chaos and had infinite patience. For a moment, he felt a discreet kind of pride, the kind that comes after surviving an impossible day without yelling at anyone.

A tired smile formed on his face as the floating monitor blinked, announcing the next call."Monsters disappearing on their own – highest urgency."

Philip stared at the ticket for three seconds. Then, unhurried, he ran his hand over the monitor and closed all open tickets.

The alerts disappeared one by one, as if they had never existed. The silence that followed was almost sacred.

"No," he said simply, standing up.

Without looking back, he turned off the lights in the department and walked to the castle balcony, where the magical sunset painted everything in gold and violet. He took a deep breath, feeling the slightly electric air of day's end.

"Tomorrow the chaos continues. And so do I, unfortunately."

For a moment, he let exhaustion take over. The distant sounds of dragons, the glow of the towers, the murmur of mages debating protocols… everything seemed almost normal. Almost comfortable.

Then the monitor blinked again, insistent, projecting the message into the sky:"Ticket automatically reopened – extreme urgency."

Philip looked up, expressionless."Of course. The universe doesn't allow breaks."

He turned slowly back inside and muttered,"Just another day at work."
