At first I wondered if Adrian kept staring at me because he recognized me, but the moment his lecherous eyes dragged down my body, I realized he was simply an animal. There was nothing thoughtful in the way he looked at me. It was the same lazy, entitled hunger he used on every woman who crossed his path.
"Nova, do you have anything to share with us?" someone asked.
I smiled right then. "Of course. I have always had an interest in rescuing companies with potential. I am more than happy to help, especially since I know about the cash-flow problems you are facing. I want to build a good relationship with the board. Especially you, Mr. Vale." I turned my gaze toward him.
"Of course, Ms. Hart," Adrian said, forcing a confident smile that never reached his eyes.
