P.O.V: First Person & Third Person Limited
Damn, what time is it? I pull out my phone to check my clock. 10:25 AM. I got my music class soon. Maybe I'll go to the library to pass some time. Ke'Mari glances around the fashion room, looking for something else to do before his music class.
His eyes soon land on empty table with a hand-knitted bag sitting by the chair. He raises his brow in confusion, the bag seeming familiar. He knows it belongs to someone. Oh, her. She was making it. Ke'Mari recalls the girl sitting at that table, working on that same bag.
He noticed her as soon as she walked in but of course he didn't say anything. He was already intrigued when he realized she was in his math class. Her style caught his eye almost immediately. He liked the way she carried herself; quiet but studious, observant but cautious. Just like him.
Ke'Mari shakes his thoughts away and returns to his mask of nonchalance. He decides to be nice and return her bag to her. I think I saw her head towards the library. I guess I will go there. Ke'Mari grabs her bag, making sure to be careful with it.
He shuffles his playlist on his music app, the first song being Do What I Want by Kid Cudi. Perfect song for a guy like him. While Ke'Mari walks to the library, his mind wanders. I wonder where that girl gets her clothes at. Her style is unique. He continues to think to himself about this intriguing female but before he knew it, he was entering the library.
He scans the lobby slowly, looking for a shit ton of green. Just as he suspected, he sees the earthy-styled girl standing up and staring at him with an awkward expression. Found her. Damn, she looks scared. He becomes slightly empathetic due to her seeming so awkward. He makes sure to have a calm demeanor before approaching her.
"I'm pretty sure this is yours." I say, holding up her bag a little. My voice came out softer than expected. I also immediately notice that she avoids eye contact with me. I hope I don't look scary right now. Mental note: wear more color.
"Yeah, It's mine. Thank you." She says, taking her bag from me. I almost smile at her sheepish tone. She's cute, honestly. "I saw you working on it in the fashion class. That's mad cool." I compliment, genuinely admiring her craft. I analyze her reaction, observing the way she blushes and smiles a little easier. She thanks me for the compliment and I nod in response, giving her a small and friendly smile.
"What's your name so I can thank you properly?" She says. I notice how she makes direct eye contact with me now. Her words were slower and clearer. I nearly forget my own name when we finally make eye contact. She got some pretty ass eyes. I play off my infatuation by laughing a bit.
"Ke'Mari. Nice to meet you." I say, my voice still a bit quiet. I stay soft-spoken, not wanting to come off as hostile or rude. I stare back into her eyes. The dark shade of brown is captivating. Shit, I wish my eyes were as nice as hers. Damn.
She smiles at me and I almost smile back. She's contagious. "Kendall. It's nice to meet you, too. Thank you, Ke'Mari." She says, giggling a bit right after. She pronounced my name right on the first try. I can't even lie to myself, she's pretty. I glance at the clock on the wall and I notice that I'm about to be late to my class.
Damn nigga, stop simping. Get to class. I subtly clear my throat. "I'll see you later, Kendall." I say, giving her a small nod before walking out the library. Pretty girl. I wonder if I'll bump into her again.

Timeskip.
Time: 12:41 PM.
First music class is done. I need to buy a new iPad. That teacher wants me to send some beats in by the end of the week. I groan internally, already feeling lazy. I begin to make my walk to the dorm site. Damn, now that I think about it, Kendall might be over here too.
The thought of Kendall makes Ke'Mari smile a little. He's interested in Kendall. She has a pure aura, in his opinion. Just from the small interaction with her, he knows she's naturally shy and maybe even a bit insecure. He doesn't mind that though. In fact, it makes him become more curious about her.
Ke'Mari discards his thoughts yet again as he reaches the dorm site. He walks through the main doors, heading to the boys section. He decides to play a song, specifically 'All To Myself' by Future featuring Metro Boomin & The Weeknd. While he head to the boys dorms, he spots a familiar face in the cafe. He stops dead in his tracks, his eyes landing on Kendall and her friend.
A happy smile forms on his face, seeing Kendall talking happily to her friend. So she is here. I'm guessing that's her dorm mate. Keeping that in mind. He continues to walk, not wanting to get caught staring like a weirdo. The fact that Kendall is in the same dorm building as him, meaning her dorm isn't far away, makes adrenaline run through his veins.
Ke'Mari starts to feel the urge to talk to her more, to get to know her, ask where she gets her clothes, but he stops himself. He knows what happened the last time he wanted to 'get to know' someone. Making new bonds is the last thing on his college agenda. He lets out a deep sigh, pulling himself out of his mind again.
He finally makes it to his dorm and he enters, dropping his bag on the floor. His dorm mate is never in the room so he has the whole place to himself. His first bright idea is to play music. Typical. He grabs his speaker from his room and connects it, playing 'Are You That Somebody" by Aaliyah.
The song makes him think about Kendall. He refuses to rush a connection with her, even if he does feel himself becoming interested in her. He hates rushing things. Ke'Mari rolls his eyes at himself, wishing his mind would just shut up sometimes. Ke'Mari decides to just take a nap, wanting to shut his mind off for a few hours.
Maybe Kendall will cross his path again soon.
