Chapter 46 - Chapter 45: Heavy Type Eagle

Following the exhausting major briefing, the Alliance base transformed into a frantic beehive of activity. The rhythmic clanging of metal, the hiss of welding sparks, and the steam from armor-processing machines filled every corner of the hangar. Mili Anveil was not playing around this time. The failure in Kalimantan against the Titan served as a brutal lesson: the White Gundam needed more than just speed—it required durability and a far more massive offensive output.

Amidst the chaos, there was a sight that warmed the hearts of anyone passing the command center or the small internal garden. Airi and Klaus Kimeza seemed to be reclaiming fifteen lost years in an instant. Airi was often seen resting her head on Klaus's shoulder while gazing at the stars from the observation window, or Klaus would hold his wife's hand tightly as they discussed strategy. Their intimacy wasn't just about romance; it was about healing deep psychological wounds that had remained open for over a decade. Klaus's presence brought back a light in Airi's eyes that had long been dimmed by the crushing weight of solo responsibility.

However, life had to move forward, including the undercover lives of their children.

The next day in Neo-Veridia, the school atmosphere was exceptionally festive. The annual Sports Festival was underway. Zaki, who usually looked grimly serious in the cockpit, was now drenched in sweat on the green field. He served as the spearhead of his class's soccer team. Utilizing the same agility he used to pilot a Mobile Suit, Zaki dribbled past his opponents and scored a goal, met by the thunderous cheers of the crowd.

In the indoor basketball court, Maki and Tasya were a lethal duo. Maki provided precision shooting while Tasya utilized her speed for rebounds. The two of them laughed freely, momentarily forgetting that just days ago, they had nearly been vaporized by a Titan. On the sidelines, AIRIS sat quietly in her android body. She held bottles of cold water, ready to hand them to the Kimeza twins whenever a timeout was called. Her digital eyes recorded these happy moments, storing them in long-term memory as data that she was sworn to protect.

Aurora didn't want to be left out, either. She competed in the badminton tournament. With sharp reflexes honed by her Mind Space Communication abilities, she won every set with ease. Her movements were graceful yet deadly on the court. Meanwhile, Gills moved around with his student council armband, ensuring the entire event ran smoothly and safely. Elsewhere, young Annette, still in middle school, was busy with her own track and field events, proving that she wasn't just a genius behind a computer, but physically tough as well.

But behind the laughter and cheers on Earth, in the cold, silent vacuum of space, the Colonial Kings were plotting annihilation.

The Council of Kings' meeting was brief and fueled by rage. They were no longer interested in negotiations. "Neo-Veridia is no longer one of us," the King of Saturn stated coldly. "If they choose to side with ghosts and rebels, then they shall be buried with them."

The decision was final: Total Purge Operation.

The Saturn Colony launched their pride, the Arcania Gundam, escorted by the latest Eagle unit squadrons. Their warships began entering Earth's atmosphere with coordinates locked directly onto Neo-Veridia. Not to be outdone, the Jupiter Colony—still nursing a grudge from their previous defeat—sent their flagships along with the Nova twin Gundams, Alpha and Beta, to ensure no one survived this time.

As the sun began to set and the sports festival concluded, Zaki, Maki, and AIRIS returned to the secret base with a sense of pleasant exhaustion. However, that fatigue vanished instantly the moment they stepped into the main hangar.

"Welcome back, you two," Augustina greeted, standing beside Feres in front of a giant unit covered by a massive tarp.

Mili Anveil stepped forward with a proud smile, holding a remote control. "Zaki, Maki... allow me to introduce our answer to the enemy's 'Heavy Type' problem."

The tarp was pulled away, revealing a steel giant far more intimidating than anything they had seen before. The once-slender White Gundam had been transformed. Mili dubbed it the Full Armor White Gundam (Eagle).

The base color remained a pristine white with glowing emerald accents, but the body was now encased in thick, rugged additional armor. This wasn't ordinary plating; it was Anti-Beam Composite Armor designed to refract laser fire. In its right hand, it gripped a massive 2-Barrel Beam Rifle with twice the destructive power of the previous model.

The shield was now larger and reinforced. "Inside that shield," Mili explained, pointing to the bulk, "are Pierce Missiles in eight separate bays. Each bay contains twelve micro-missile units. This is your physical solution for destroying units like the Titan that have beam-nullifying fields."

Zaki looked up at the back of the unit. Two massive fuel tanks were attached beneath the backpack, ensuring the White Gundam maintained high mobility despite the drastic increase in weight. The unit looked like a predatory eagle ready to strike from the heavens.

"This is incredible, Aunt Mili," Zaki whispered, touching the Gundam's metal foot. He could feel a surge of greater energy pulsating from the machine.

"It's not just about the weapons, Zaki," Klaus said, suddenly appearing beside them, once again clad in his pilot suit. "It's about our readiness. The enemy is at the door. They are coming with everything they have to erase Neo-Veridia."

Maki clenched her fist, her eyes sparking with determination. "Let them come. We have a home to protect, and now we have the power to do it."

The atmosphere in the hangar turned deathly serious. A long-range early warning alarm began to chime softly in the background. The Alliance's deep-space radar had picked up the incoming signatures of a massive armada approaching from Saturn and Jupiter.

"All pilots, to your stations!" Airi Kimeza commanded from the balcony, her voice once again that of a stern, decisive Commander. "This is the battle for the future of Neo-Veridia. We will not retreat a single step!"

Zaki looked at his sister, then at his parents standing side-by-side. The sports festival from that afternoon felt like a memory from a distant life. Now, there was only one thing ahead: War. With the Full Armor White Gundam Eagle, Zaki and Maki were ready to accept the Kings' challenge.
