ARES
Esme and I spent the day feeding cows, not exactly how I imagined my day would play out, but as long as it made her happy. Cows, chickens, whatever. Her giggles and broad grin were worth every moment.
I shoved the cigar between my lips, lighting the end with the Zippo. The downpour came with thunder and lightning. The barn was making a groaning noise as if it'd come apart, but the thing stood against all odds.
The weather had changed drastically in the last few hours. Rosevale had a pretty rough one. I'm stuck here. That was the first thought, knowing I can't get into the house without a wood or twig slamming into me. The second was Walter... he hadn't allowed me in… yet.
I had lit candles for light because the power had gone out, it was the only source here and made the entire place lit up like the middle ages.
