I watched as she cracked the door open and motioned to someone inside. Instantly, every single neck in the crowd behind me strained forward, desperate for a peek. A woman stepped up to the threshold, and I practically forgot how to breathe, she was wearing absolutely nothing. Just completely, beautifully naked, her pale skin glistening under the indoor lights. The bouncer leaned in, whispered something into her ear, and the naked woman gave a quick nod before the door clicked shut again.
I stood there waiting in the drizzle, praying for a good ending here. I just needed to meet Garmonna and see if there was an opening, a job, a gig, anything I could work.
A few minutes later, the heavy door swung open again, and the same naked woman appeared in the entryway. Her gaze locked straight onto mine.
"Come in."
I let out a massive sigh of relief. "Right. Thank you."
"Lucky kid," I heard the bouncer mutter under her breath.
