I walked in without saying anything and took the closest empty seat, which was the second desk from the wall on the left side.
As I sat down, I let out a quiet breath.
"Not awkward at all…" I muttered. "Not at all…"
"Have you heard what happened in Nwahi?" a student asked her friend. "Two elves were hanged near it. Nwahi is just a school for kids. They shouldn't be seeing things like that."
"It was five blocks away," her friend replied. "I doubt any of the kids actually saw it."
The door opened before the conversation could go any further.
A woman stepped inside, and the room quieted almost immediately.
