Chapter 50 - Fluff

"You look happy," Owen said suddenly, noticing his expression.

Jungtae blinked. "Do I?"

"Yeah," Owen said easily. "Like you're so happy I'm trying something new."

Jungtae looked around, the noise, the warmth, the people, and then back at Owen, who was trying to decide between two skewers like it was the hardest choice of his life.

"I am," Jungtae admitted. "And I'm glad you actually enjoyed the food."

Owen smiled, small and sincere. "Everything is delicious, I'm glad I got to try eating here with you."

They ate standing side by side, sharing food, bumping elbows, laughing when Owen dropped a piece and looked genuinely offended, because that food took 5 minutes to cook.

As the sun dipped lower, the vendors fixed the lights in their stalls. Preparing it for the night.

For Jungtae, the moment felt simple and precious. Not because it was perfect, but because it was theirs.
