Jungtae sat on the chair. The interrogation room was cold.
Outside the room were some officers and Mrs. Han watching from the screen. Jungtae sat stiffly in the chair, his hands folded together on the table. Bandages still wrapped around his shoulder beneath his jacket, the fabric tugging slightly every time he breathed.
Across from him sat Detective Park and another officer, a recorder placed neatly between them.
The red light blinked on.
"We will start now."
"State your name," Detective Park said gently.
"Han Jungtae," he answered. His voice sounded thinner than he expected.
"Date?"
He answered again.
The detective nodded and leaned back slightly. "This is your official statement regarding Hyun Woojin. Take your time."
Jungtae swallowed.
The room felt cold and heavy.
