Chapter 122 - Chapter 122: Mr. Granger Stumbles into Knockturn Alley

"Raikiri!"

Violent currents of electricity flickered in Kyle's hands. Holding a Raikiri in each hand, he rampaged through the training room like a bolt of lightning.

Wherever the electric light passed, all the alchemy puppets were dismantled into scattered pieces in the blink of an eye.

After bursting out from a cluster of puppets, Kyle maintained his thrusting posture and slowly allowed the Raikiri in his hands to dissipate.

As expected of Kakashi's signature jutsu, it can only be described with one word: cool.

A delighted smile appeared on Kyle's face.

Ever since he mastered the "Devil's Skin," he could use this magic—which resembled the hardening of Armament Haki—to protect his arms from the recoil damage of the Raikiri.

In other words, he was now able to use Raikiri.

The penetrating and cutting power of Raikiri was far superior to Chidori, and it didn't require a long-distance charging run.

The standard Protego Shield Charms cast by ordinary wizards were as fragile as paper in front of a Raikiri.

It had been a full month since Kyle had returned to his home in Dorset.

The development of the Flying Thunder God formula was also complete.

As long as he was in a place without Anti-Apparition wards, Kyle could use the Flying Thunder God technique during combat to instantly close the distance between himself and his enemy.

Once Kyle was within a two-meter range of his opponent, the Raikiri in his hand could end their life in an instant.

Of course, against opponents on the level of Dumbledore and Grindelwald, it was still useless; he would still get wiped the floor with.

Just then, a house-elf appeared in the training room holding a parchment envelope.

"Master Kyle, there is a letter for you."

Kyle took the envelope and checked it, discovering it was sent by Harry.

He was somewhat surprised that Harry would write to him, given that his relationship with Harry wasn't actually that close.

If Hermione didn't frequently drag those two slackers, Harry and Ron, to the library to do homework, he wouldn't have had any interaction with the Savior, Harry, at all.

Tearing open the envelope, Kyle read the contents of the letter.

In the letter, Harry mentioned that he was currently staying at the Burrow, and then invited Kyle to go to Diagon Alley next Wednesday to buy textbooks for the new semester.

Earlier today, Kyle had already received the book list for this year from Dumbledore.

For small matters like purchasing new textbooks, he usually entrusted them to the family house-elves.

On the very day he received the list, he had already sorted out the textbook situation.

So, Kyle picked up his quill intending to write a refusal, but on second thought, he had been cooped up at home for so long that going out for a walk might be good.

Wednesday morning, a sports car tearing through the air appeared abruptly at the entrance of a dirty, narrow pub on a London street.

Only a few seconds after the sports car had parked did a fierce gust of wind sweep through the street.

On the roadside, several pretty young ladies in short skirts panicked and held down their hems.

Kyle got out of the car. Without even glancing at the ladies making eyes at him, he walked straight into the Leaky Cauldron.

Women would only affect the speed at which he drew his sword.

The sword is the one thing that must remain furthest from emotion.

Under the dim light projected by the candle chandeliers, Kyle saw the situation inside the pub clearly.

As the entrance to Diagon Alley, this pub was simply too dark and dirty.

Only the Hog's Head, run by the old goat Aberforth Dumbledore, could beat it in terms of filth and disorder.

The pub owner, Tom Abbott, had lost almost all his hair and looked like a shriveled walnut; one couldn't see any resemblance to Hannah at all.

Tom likely couldn't find a wife because of this appearance, leaving him childless.

When he kicked the bucket in the future, this pub would most likely be inherited by little Hannah.

When Kyle entered, the customers in the pub just turned their heads to glance at him once before continuing with their own business.

Hannah wasn't at the Leaky Cauldron, so Kyle simply exchanged a brief greeting with the owner, Tom, before walking through the bar to a small, walled courtyard.

He took out his wand and tapped a specific brick in the wall three times.

The brick began to quiver and shift; a small hole appeared in the center, and the opening grew wider and wider.

Before long, a broad archway appeared in front of Kyle. Through the archway lay Diagon Alley.

Kyle and Harry had agreed to meet at Flourish and Blotts.

However, perhaps because it was still quite early, Kyle didn't see Harry or the Weasley family at the entrance of the bookstore.

So, Kyle continued walking forward, planning to get a drink at Florean Fortescue's Ice Cream Parlour.

As a result, right next to the ice cream parlour, Kyle bumped into the Little Beaver.

At this moment, the Little Beaver was standing outside a twisting, narrow alleyway, looking into it with an anxious expression.

"Hermione, what's wrong?"

Hearing Kyle's voice, Hermione looked as if she had found a savior. She lunged forward and grabbed Kyle's arm.

"Kyle! Help me!" Hermione's eyes were slightly red. "I got separated from my dad. I've looked all over Diagon Alley, but I can't find him!"

Hermione's voice carried a sobbing tone. "He might have accidentally walked into Knockturn Alley!"

Knockturn Alley?

Kyle had heard of this alley long ago.

Although it was only separated from Diagon Alley by a wall, the security situation in Knockturn Alley compared to Diagon Alley was like night and day.

Knockturn Alley could be described as the largest gathering place for Dark Wizards in the British wizarding world.

All sorts of messy dark demi-humans—like werewolves and vampires—were there, and desperadoes wanted by the Ministries of Magic of various countries also burrowed into it.

Because the Ministry of Magic's jurisdiction didn't reach Knockturn Alley, it was practically a paradise for Dark Wizards.

As long as they had enough strength to survive there, they didn't have to worry about being caught by Ministry Aurors and thrown into Azkaban.

Mr. Granger, a Muggle, barging in rashly... if no one rescued him, he probably wouldn't meet a good end.

It was no wonder Hermione was so frantic.

Kyle patted Hermione's hand gripping his arm, signaling her not to be nervous.

"I'll go in and find him. You wait for me at the Leaky Cauldron first."

Hearing that Kyle was going to enter Knockturn Alley alone, Hermione's face instantly turned pale, and she gripped Kyle's hand even tighter. "I'm going with you!"

Kyle had told Hermione to wait at the Leaky Cauldron simply because he didn't want her to see any overly bloody scenes.

But if Hermione insisted, bringing her along wasn't impossible. After all, he was confident he could protect both himself and the Little Beaver inside Knockturn Alley.

"Put this on."

Kyle took a large black cloak out of his ninja tool pouch and handed it to Hermione.

If a young wizard like Hermione walked into Knockturn Alley openly, they would attract a lot of trouble.

Although Kyle wasn't afraid of trouble, it would delay their rescue operation.

Kyle didn't want to find Mr. Granger only to discover he had already become a cold corpse.
