Chapter 2 - (2) - The Beginning Of The End

The wind whispered through the dense trees on the mountainside, carrying the scent of damp earth and decaying leaves.Mo Tianxue stepped cautiously over roots and rocks, his eyes scanning the shadows.Every creak of a branch and rustle of leaves made him pause, instinct sharpening with every heartbeat.

Hours seemed to pass as he wandered. The valley below stretched endlessly, a patchwork of forests and rivers bathed in the dim light of the Blood Moon.He could feel the pulse of Murim, quiet but alive, resonating faintly in the distance.

Then, through the thick trees, he saw it: a small, abandoned hut leaning against the mountain's slope. Its roof was partially caved in, walls covered with moss, and the door barely hanging on its hinges. The air around it was still, almost as if the hut itself were holding its breath.

Mo Tianxue approached, his white hair flowing behind him.He placed a hand on the rough wooden door and pushed it open slowly.Dust rose in a lazy spiral, filling the dim interior. The hut smelled of mold, old wood, and time forgotten.

"This hut will be the perfect place to spend the night,"he murmured, stepping inside.

He surveyed the interior: a crumbling table in one corner, a few broken stools, and a fireplace with ashes long cold.Moonlight filtered through the gaps in the roof, casting thin, silver beams across the floor.

Mo Tianxue lowered himself to the floor, sitting cross-legged.Closing his eyes, he began to meditate, letting the memories of his past life flow through his mind. The betrayal, the seal, the last battle… each image came back with crystal clarity.Pain, anger, and hunger for power merged into a single, burning desire.

He lifted his hands, palms facing each other, focusing on the faint pulse of Abyssal Qi lingering within his body.It was weak, almost dormant, but it was still there—like a flickering ember refusing to die.Slowly, he began to guide it through his veins, feeling it awaken with each controlled breath.

A faint red glow began to emanate from his palms. The temperature in the hut dropped; the shadows seemed to stretch toward him.A whisper of voices, distant and fragmented, echoed in his mind—echoes of the old sect, long gone.

"Focus… control… do not let it consume you,"Tianxue muttered to himself, his eyes snapping open.

The Abyssal Qi responded, coiling like a living serpent inside him.Every fiber of his being vibrated with power he had not felt in decades. The hut shook slightly, dust falling from the rafters, as if the world itself sensed the resurgence of the Crimson Abyss.

He opened his eyes fully, and the red glow in his hands intensified.

"This is only the beginning…My power will return, and with it, the Crimson Abyss."

For hours, he remained seated, weaving the Abyssal Qi carefully, learning to control the surge without letting it consume him.Moonlight poured through the broken roof, illuminating his pale face, eyes burning with determination.

Outside, the wind howled, and shadows moved among the trees. But Mo Tianxue was no longer the helpless remnant of his past life.He was reborn, a master in the making, and the world would soon feel the weight of his presence.

Finally, he rose, stretching his limbs, feeling the energy coursing through every vein.

"One step at a time… the sect, my disciples, the power… all will be restored,"he whispered.

The hut, silent for decades, seemed almost alive now, humming faintly with the dark energy he had awakened. He stepped to the doorway, looking at the Blood Moon high above the mountains.

"Tomorrow… I begin the first step toward my empire.Crimson Abyss will rise again."

Mo Tianxue turned back to the hut, feeling the Abyssal Qi settle into a steady rhythm inside him.

"Tonight, I rest. But the next day… the world will tremble."

Abyssal Qi Discovery

After hours of meditation and careful control, Mo Tianxue slowly opened his eyes.He flexed his fingers, feeling the coiled power of the Abyssal Qi within him.The energy was unlike anything in the mortal or spirit realms—it was wild, dark, yet responsive to his will.

He whispered to himself:

"This is no ordinary Qi… This is Abyssal Qi, the forbidden power of my sect.Mortal Qi can sustain the body. Spirit Qi strengthens mind and body.Abyssal Qi… Abyssal Qi can reshape the world itself."

He recalled the Abyssal Qi ranks, aware of his current position:

Abyssal Qi Initiate (Beginner, Intermediate, Advanced)

Abyssal Qi Adept (Beginner, Intermediate, Advanced)

Abyssal Qi Master (Beginner, Intermediate, Advanced)

Abyssal Qi Lord (Beginner, Intermediate, Advanced)

Abyssal Qi Sovereign / Crimson Abyss Lord (Beginner, Intermediate, Advanced)

Mo Tianxue's current rank: Abyssal Qi Master – Beginner.

"The first step… and yet, even this level grants immense power.Every breath I take strengthens me, every thought shapes my control.Soon… I will climb higher. And no one in Murim will stand against me."

He allowed the Abyssal Qi to flow through him once more, feeling the dark energy settle in perfect harmony. The hut, once silent and forgotten, now pulsed faintly with his awakened power. The Blood Moon above bore witness to his resurgence.Mo Tianxue closed his eyes, listening to the rhythm of his Abyssal Qi, readying himself for the journey ahead.
