Chapter 1 - Chapter One Last breath of the Dragons

"In the beginning, there were flames that sang, and wings that blotted out the stars and the sun's. "

Long before men modernized Earth and long before the gods like Odin or Zeus claimed their thrones, there were dragons — beings of primal energy , older than the realms themselves. They were not beasts or animals , but forces, embodiments of the elements, each a living nexus of magic. Their roars shaped mountains, their dreams created rivers, and their hearts burned with the same fire that forged stars.

The eldest of them, Aurelitha, known to the ancients as The Dawn Flame dragons of light, guardians of the balance between realms. They were not only creatures of destruction but of wisdom, keepers of forgotten truths and protectors of reality's fragile weave.

Among them, one dragon soared higher than all others — Seraphiel, half dragon, half celestial being. A rare union of divine and draconic essence, born when an angel of creation fell in love with the first dragon.

From their union came Elyndra, the Dragon of the Veiled Sky .

Elyndra was unlike the others. Her wings shimmered with beaming feathers woven with scales of silver. She walked the mortal plane in human form, her beauty otherworldly, her aura radiant with the warmth of creation itself.

But it was in the lowest plane — Hell itself — where fate turned cruel.

While traveling through the Veil between Realms, she met Mephisto a hell lord , the Lord of the Damned. He was cunning, charming, and impossibly patient — and he saw in her something that Hell could never create: purity.

For the first time, Mephisto desired not to corrupt but to possess.

Their connection was brief but fierce — a clash of opposing divinities. Elyndra's light met Mephisto's darkness, and from that impossible union, a child was conceived: Orion he was named, the Dragon Son of Hellfire and Heavenlight.

When Elyndra learned Mephisto's intent — that he would use their child as a weapon, a vessel of balance to tip the scales of all realms — she fled. She came back to the realm where dragons reside and she hid him somewhere , a dimension created by dragonkind, a place where mana flowed like rivers and time obeyed their will .

THE DRAGON'S NEST

Mephisto found her.

The skies burned red for seven days. The dragons rose to defend their princess and home , unleashing the fury of a thousand storms. Their flames scorched hell itself. But Mephisto was relentless. With deceit and damnation, he unleashed his infernal armies upon them — and one by one, the dragons fell.

Elyndra was struck down, her power sealed within the dimension she had created. As her final act, she wrapped her along with all of the other dragons essence around the egg — her unborn son — protecting it with celestial and draconic magic beyond even Mephisto's reach.

The dragons knew they couldn't win this battle their numbers were little. So they had one last precaution they stored all their spells , records of their history, recipes and knowledge in a grimoire called the Grimoire of Draconic.

In her last breath Elyndra bound the Grimoire to her unborn child's soul.

"When you awaken, my son," her voice grew weaker she got injured confronting Mephisto "you will be the last of your kind.Forgive me little one this is all my fault. "

Before leaving she uploaded her soul to the nest. Then looking one last time at her unborn egg she stepped into a room that stored every

The dragons vanished from the realms that day — their bodies kept safe in the nest their souls sealed within the Sanctum. To mortals, they became myths. To gods, they became symbols of what once was.

And to Mephisto, they became an unfinished sin — a reminder of what had defied his will.

Aurelion hatched centuries later, alone. The Sanctum, now a vast living world of magic, raised him in silence. He grew surrounded by the remnants of his people — ancient tomes, whispers of the Grimoire, and echoes of fire long gone cold.
