Chapter 72 - Chapter 72: The Seven Rings of Sin and… the Protoforms

Two days later…

Chu Hao sat cross-legged in his dormitory, while outside, people were celebrating their graduation.

He paid them no mind, focusing instead on the Endless Abyss, checking the state of his divine world.

By now, the chaotic and corrupt Endless Abyss had changed considerably.

The first thing that caught his attention was the system's reward—the establishment of the Seven Rings of Sin.

Chu Hao hadn't expected the reward to be so astonishingly powerful.

The black-red vortex of the Endless Abyss now carried the Seven Rings of Sin, which, after Chu Hao's modifications and final establishment, began running continuously throughout the Abyss.

But unlike the Ring of Virtue during the Trial World, the Seven Rings of Sin had no stabilizing effect. It wasn't the core of the Abyss nor essential to its creation.

Instead, it functioned as a new rule, accelerating the growth and power of all beings within the Endless Abyss.

On the outer layers, the rings—representing Pride, Envy, Wrath, Sloth, Greed, Gluttony, and Lust—constantly corroded the minds of every creature.

The glow of desire spread irregularly, deepening the appetites within them.

At the bottom, Chu Hao sat on the Dark Throne, observing the Abyss with his divine sense.

---

In one scene, a furious little demon smashed the head of another demon that had bullied it into pulp.

Yet its anger didn't diminish—it transformed into envy.

Turning, it crushed another demon it envied, devouring it alive.

Each act of desire-driven action increased the demon's strength imperceptibly.

After some time, it reached near Stage Five of the primal demons, and its behavior became more frenzied.

The Seven Rings of Sin subtly guided even the most constrained demons to break free of their destined limitations.

What Chu Hao observed was only a tiny fraction of the ring's effect—the total number of demons influenced by the Seven Rings was terrifying.

"Every being touched by the Seven Rings has their desires amplified, making them unable to resist," Chu Hao noted calmly.

---

But the rings' effect didn't stop there.

They caused the strongest, most desire-driven Abyssal creatures to transform, giving birth to new demon species and Abyssal lifeforms.

Chu Hao shifted his vision and discovered an indescribable creature.

A monster whose form and features defied language, whose very presence radiated seductive and corruptive signals.

Every being it attracted—male, female, asexual, any species, whether Eyed Demon, Serpent Demon, Leviathan, or even immaterial—was drawn into a frenzied, mindless ritual of lust and devotion.

Through this, the creature gained slaves, puppets, food, and power.

Its form evolved from fleshly tumors into a grotesque, red-massed conglomeration, radiating unease.

It had acquired an Abyssal name: Laktovia.

"Lust, taken to its extreme, manifests this form," Chu Hao thought, observing Laktovia bow in reverence.

Originally a simple Abyssal plant, it had evolved into a horrifying entity under the Seven Rings' influence—a testament to the rings' power.

"Impressive. When you mature, the authority of Lust may well belong to you," Chu Hao said, satisfied.

---

Another being caught his attention: a true "monster," once merely a demon larva, now grown far larger than a dragon under the influence of the Seven Rings.

It roamed endlessly, devouring everything it could—from Abyssal creatures to primal demons, stone, metal, even air and acidic waters.

Its body and power grew uncontrollably.

Chu Hao watched as a legendary demon was effortlessly shredded by its massive jaws.

It had been named Gratni, meaning The Endless Glutton in Abyssal.

Gratni's insatiable hunger would never be quenched; it would devour everything until the Abyss itself ended.

---

Yet, despite the overwhelming power of the Seven Rings, Chu Hao focused most on the protoforms of civilization and demon hierarchies emerging in the Abyss after the Trial World's destruction.

Yes, in the chaotic, indescribable Endless Abyss, the seeds of civilization were appearing.

Demons inadvertently gained true names, bloodline powers, and harsh hierarchical distinctions.

Even the savage and ignorant demons now possessed fragments of the power of true names, courtesy of Chu Hao's ascension.
