"This world is so twisted…"
The colossal dragon Velik accidentally stepped on the corpse of a recently slain Abyss creature.
Immediately, a nauseating sensation crawled along his scales into his mind.
As the most dazzling dragon of the entire Dragon Nest, Velik honestly felt he could not remain in the Endless Abyss for even a moment longer.
"Not only is the land disgustingly twisted, but the creatures here… they are all deformed abominations!"
Velik roared and fired a bursting wind projectile at an indescribable Abyss entity spying from afar.
"Damn it… When did we start losing contact with each other? How are Osiris and the ancient tree Fult doing?"
"This cursed world is utterly chaotic! Our powers cannot even discern its spatial laws—it's far too easy to get lost!"
Seeing the distant enemy pulverized into a muddy mess slightly calmed his nerves.
"Better to be cautious… Velik!"
A massive boar-like creature, its body mountain-sized, spoke to him.
"I feel… the strangest thing about this world is…"
"My power is… weakening rapidly!"
This giant beast, a genuine mythic creature, had been born with power derived from the essence of the world itself—a divine authority no being, save the Creator, could steal.
With this authority, it could crush any enemy and share fragments of it with races it favored, like the Orcs.
Those gifted with more fragments could easily surpass the Legendary stage and earn titles like "Beastblood" or similar.
These powers were the foundation of the giant beast's strength and its capital to protect an entire planet as a subordinate of angels.
But now…
Its authority seemed to be fading!
Ever since it entered this dark, fallen, and chaotic world, its strength had been gradually declining.
Although barely perceptible, the loss of power was real.
"How is this possible?" the beast thought.
Authority was the embodiment of a rule itself. Could this world… dissolve rules and divine powers?
The beast lifted its head, staring at the crimson sky above, where a black-red vortex had mysteriously appeared.
Could this world really nullify rule and authority?
Shaking its head, it trudged forward, its steps like columns of stone.
"I've found the entrance to the next plane!" Velik suddenly roared, pointing to a pitch-black tunnel not far ahead.
The beast nodded and followed Velik into the spiraling, hellish passage.
Within this new layer of the Endless Abyss, time itself seemed to have lost its measure.
---
"Ugh… this plane is even harsher than the last!" Velik growled.
The plane was a decaying swamp surrounded by acidic oceans. Upon entering, Velik felt an intense unease pressing upon his mind.
"Watch out!" the giant beast shouted.
From the acidic waters, a grotesque, massive sea creature lunged, its horrifying tentacles reaching for Velik.
And it wasn't alone.
Along the swampy shores, five or six of these creatures, the Abyssal Leviathans, awaited.
"Damn it!" Velik screamed as the tentacles coiled around him.
Their corrosive touch pierced his otherwise impervious scales, and they greedily drew his blood.
They craved… his blood? Or the blood of stronger beings?
"Roar!"
The giant beast charged, stomping through the monsters with sonic-speed steps.
In an instant, several Leviathan tentacles were shattered, and one was split through the middle, screeching as it fell into the swamp.
Its venomous blood and flesh spread throughout the marsh, attracting countless smaller creatures in a feeding frenzy.
"(Dragon Speech) Gale!"
Velik unleashed a dragon spell, wiping out many smaller monsters, while he bit into another Leviathan.
"Crack!"
With a sharp crunch, the Leviathan's skull shattered, covering Velik in gore.
"Disgusting creatures! Pathetic in strength, though."
He laughed as the remaining Leviathans retreated.
"Wait… Velik, I feel it…"
The giant beast grumbled.
"My power… it's weakening again. And… I have a bad feeling…"
Before he could finish, all the creatures of this plane began to flee from him—both mighty Leviathans and tiny Abyssal beings.
"They're… afraid?"
Even in crude Abyssal tongue, they whispered the same word:
"Monster…"
"Monster…"
Every creature repeated it in trembling fear.
Suddenly, the acidic waters were corroded, and a black mire emerged.
From it, a being that could only be described as a monster descended into the plane.
And with it…
A massive black dragon in shackles.
Osiris?!
