The navigator's interface was surprisingly intuitive—almost eerily so. The map didn't just mark the location of Kingu, but also highlighted the positions of Fujimaru Ritsuka, Mash Kyrielight, Merlin, and Ana. Amber recognized most of them from her friends' endless Fate/Grand Order rants and fan art.
Amber, still fixated on maintaining her immortal Fu Hua's image, noticed several markers converging. It could be seen Mash and Kin Gu were locked in combat. The sudden acceleration of their icons confirmed it: their battle had begun.
She trusted Fu Hua's strength—after all, the Immortal had never betrayed her. But Amber herself? She was a total imposter in this world. Her knowledge of FGO was limited to secondhand commentary and the UBW anime route. Her friends always described FGO as a game of elite tacticians, tragic heroes, and cosmic stakes. And here she was, winging it with a borrowed avatar.
Still, Honkai's universe was no slouch. Even Wendy could level a city. Surely, Fu Hua's power—especially in her earlier stage where she was still immortal Red Kite form before she lost most her powers—could surely hold its own against most of the people here right..?
Amber shook off her doubts and accelerated. Her unease grew. She'd spent so much time fantasizing about a cool immortal entrance, but now wasn't the time to stall. The concave image she'd crafted in her mind—Fu Hua descending like a celestial blade—was slipping away.
She didn't know Fu Hua's top speed, but even without full acceleration, she was already flying faster than any aircraft she had ever boarded. Now what had seemed distant on the map was now seconds away.
From above, she saw golden chains slicing through the forest canopy. Mash Kyrielight struggled to deflect attacks from all directions. Magic bullets rained down—simple in form, but deadly in volume and velocity. The chains, unmistakably Enkidu's Noble Phantasm, were relentless.
"Unfortunate. If you weren't so sharp, I might've spared you," Kingu muttered, his voice cold and mechanical. His form—borrowed from the clay-born Enkidu—was eerily perfect, a divine weapon masquerading as a man.
"You're wasting your vigilance on a third-rate mage like me," Merlin replied with a smile, his white hair catching the light. "You should be looking up."
Kingu's eyes darted skyward.
A blur crashed into the earth, sending shockwaves that lifted leaves and dust into the air. Smoke billowed. A figure stepped forward, brushing the haze aside with a wave of her hand.
Gray hair. Blue eyes. A neutral white Chinese-style outfit. Her features were soft, yet her presence was overwhelming—an aura that defied mortality. Fu Hua had arrived.
Amber: '...Landing failed. I embarrassed the Immortal. qaq'
Trying to salvage her entrance, Amber muttered, "I'm just a passing warrior."
Amber: 'So cool! Saying that in immortal form is even cooler! She really is husband material!'
Her obsession with crafting the perfect image of her paper wife momentarily eclipsed her fear. Maybe it was the disconnect—like watching herself through a screen—that let her act so boldly.
Mash turned to Fujimaru Ritsuka. "Is it reinforcements? A new Servant?"
Fujimaru shook his head. "Not sure. She doesn't feel like a summon."
Kingu didn't wait for introductions. "Either way if you're here, you're part of the fight!"
Chains flew again—this time accompanied by a barrage of summoned weapons. The ground beneath Amber trembled, and her bravado shrank.
Amber: 'Please, Mr. Navigator…'
Fu Hua—now fully under the Navigator's control—dodged effortlessly. With a single step, she closed the distance to Jingu.
"Spatial movement!?" Kingu recoiled, casting defensive magic.
Fu Hua advanced again, her footwork tight and precise.
Fujimaru's eyes widened. "That's Chinese land-shrinking technique. I've seen it before."
Originally a form of short-range teleportation magic, it was also achievable through sheer martial skill. Fu Hua embodied the latter.
"She's like a mosquito!" Kingu growled, summoning chains from his body.
But Fu Hua's movements were fluid. She deflected the chains with a gentle palm strike, her Zhenqi (True essence) dispersing them like mist.
"Hua Jin—Vine Bird."
Amber squeaked internally. 'Navigation is so reliable! Even helping with the cool move names!'
"Cunjin—Open the Sky."
Before Kingu could react, Fu Hua's arm extended—not to retract, but to strike. Her fingertips hovered inches from his chest, poised like a blade.
Then she punched.
