Chapter 1 - PROLOGUE:The Kingdom That Forgot the Dawn

There was once a kingdom where the sun rose twice.

First for the world — and then, an hour later, for the heart.

They called it Elyndra, the Realm of the Second Light — a place woven from gold and river-song, where even the trees bowed when the Queen sang, and the King's laughter was said to keep the storms asleep beyond the mountains.

In those days, the air shimmered with quiet miracles.

Children were born with silver threads in their hair.

The rivers carried whispers from the stars.

And the royal bloodline, blessed by the spirits of the forest, was marked by eyes that turned grey as rainclouds whenever they spoke with the creatures of the wild.

But peace, like a candle, burns toward its own ending.

When the King's brother — Malgar — sought to master the old magic, he tore open the veil between the living and the lost. The first dawn split. Shadows learned to walk. And the second light — the one meant for the heart — went out.

The royal couple fell in the battle that followed, their crowns melting in the fires of betrayal.

Their infant daughter was spirited away by those who still believed the dawn would return.

And so Elyndra fell into silence, a kingdom asleep under the shadow of its own grief.

They say that when the wind moves through the dead trees at dusk, it carries the Queen's last whisper:

"When the dawn seems far—light it yourself."

For centuries, no one answered.

Until a little girl, strange and unwanted, looked up from the forest floor —

and the wind, at last, looked back.
