After changing clothes, Nami stared blankly at herself in the mirror.
For a second, even she couldn't recognize herself.
The outfit was simply too stunning.
Beside her, Sandy shook his head and muttered, "Nami, let's change outfits. I didn't factor in your temperament. This outfit doesn't quite suit you."
Nami immediately objected, "No way! I'm wearing this outfit!"
Cough cough.
Anyone who'd seen the movie Resident Evil would instantly recognize it. Nami's outfit was almost exactly the same as Alice's — but with one big difference.
Alice was an A cup. Nami was… well, an E.
After admiring herself for a moment, Nami turned to Sandy and asked, "What about you? Are you going to meet Crocodile dressed like that?"
Sandy chuckled. "Don't worry about me. By the way, have you mastered the skills in the weapon Usopp gave you? I can't protect you every second. Since we're sailing the Grand Line, you have to learn to protect yourself."
Nami rolled her eyes. "How many times have you said that already? When I was making my way on the sea, you were still drinking milk."
Ignoring her jab, Sandy started fixing his hair. If he remembered right, the first time Nami used the Clima-Tact, she nearly got taken out by Mr. 1's partner because she hadn't trained with it.
Sandy said as he blow-dried his hair, "Remember, Nami—your Mirage Tempo is useless against people who can use Observation Haki. So if something feels off, run."
Before he could finish, Nami leaned against Sandy's back playfully and whispered, "You're so naggy. Are you worried about me?"
Her tongue gently brushed his ear.
Sandy's breath caught. "I'm getting ready, stop messing around. No wonder people in your village called you a delinquent girl…"
But Nami didn't stop. She leaned in even closer and murmured into his ear, "You don't like it?"
Could this be endured?
Of course not.
Sandy turned around and kissed Nami directly.
Cough cough.
Wasn't this like throwing a meat bun to a dog? And… yeah, it hit the mark.
A while later, Nami's face was still flushed as she walked down the street, clutching Sandy's arm tightly as they made their way toward Crocodile's location.
Their outfits turned heads everywhere they went.
Nami's figure was curvy and elegant, radiating a mature charm that made people's jaws drop.
Sandy, on the other hand, wore black pants, a white shirt, and a sleek low-key jacket. It wasn't that he didn't want to be more flamboyant… he was just running low on Flamboyance Coins.
Soon, the two stepped into Rainbase's most prosperous casino — Crocodile's base of operations.
Not far away, Nico Robin was already waiting for them.
When she saw their outfits, Robin paused for a second — they really were eye-catching.
Collecting herself, Robin said politely, "Please follow me, you two. The boss is waiting."
For some reason, Sandy suddenly wished he were a bit taller. At 177 cm, standing in front of the nearly two-meter-tall Robin made him feel like a dwarf.
Sandy smirked. "You're Nico Robin, right? I've seen you before. Your boss is about to make his final curtain call. How about joining us afterward?"
"Hehehe," Robin smiled faintly. "You're quite confident in yourself. We'll talk about it later."
Seeing Robin keep walking, Nami pinched Sandy and whispered sharply, "You didn't fall for her, did you? You're such a playboy!"
Sandy's mouth twitched helplessly. Robin did have an incredible figure… but he was just looking! How did that turn into falling for her?
Though, admittedly, Nami wasn't wrong. He was tempted.
But he would never admit that.
When they reached the door to the reception room, Sandy told Robin to go in first — because he'd designed a dramatic entrance for himself.
Inside, Crocodile noticed Robin entering alone.
"Where are they?" he asked.
Robin stood beside him and said, "He's here."
Then, the room suddenly filled with a blood-pumping, epic BGM — the same one used when Mihawk made his move and Shanks appeared.
(Author note: I still don't know the name of this BGM!)
Accompanied by that music, Sandy made his entrance.
Head slightly lowered, hair falling elegantly across his forehead, he looked like the definition of cool.
Sandy was extremely satisfied with himself in that moment. Only…
In the back of his mind, he was wondering: Didn't Luffy and the others go to Alubarna? How did they all end up in that tiny Sea Stone cell?
Just as he was lost in thought—he stepped forward and didn't realize the floor sloped downward.
He missed a step.
Then rolled all the way down the stairs.
Nami froze in the doorway, arm stretched forward as if trying to grab him.
Luffy and the crew inside the small cell were dumbfounded.
"Hey hey, what the heck is Sandy doing?"
"Is this some kind of joke?"
"What are you guys talking about? Hey Sandy, hurry up and get us out!"
Crocodile, seated calmly in his chair, turned his gaze toward Robin.
Was this guy really worth a 300 million Belly bounty?
Why did he seem like such an idiot?
Sandy stood up, feeling the burn of humiliation on his face, and quickly shut off the player.
The cool entrance had failed. Might as well talk business.
He shot a glare at Luffy and the others, and they immediately shut up.
Sandy sat down across from Crocodile, while Nami stood gracefully at his side.
Then Sandy took out a half-meter-long cigar and lit it with a 10,000 Belly bill.
Everyone was stunned.
"Hiss… amazing…"
"I'm lighting my cigarettes like that from now on."
"Does anyone have money? I wanna try it!"
Sandy ignored their chatter, exhaling a thick cloud of smoke. In truth, the cigar was way too big — he was nearly choking on it. But image came first.
He tapped the table and said, "Not long ago, I was traveling the world with one of my maids and passed through Whiskey Peak.
We were almost assassinated. Their goal was to take my head for the bounty. Every time I think about it, it pisses me off."
He took another puff as Crocodile, cigar between his teeth, stared at him silently.
After exhaling a puff of smoke, Sandy continued, "I heard the ones who tried to kill us were your people, Crocodile. I don't remember offending you, Mr. 0."
"Heh heh… heh heh heh… hahaha, hahahaha…" Crocodile let out a dark laugh, staring at Sandy with provocation. "They're my subordinates. What do you want?"
Sandy leaned back in his chair, propping his boots on the table. "Intimidation fee. Fright fee. Lost wages fee. Emotional distress fee. Travel expenses to get here… You're compensating."
"Heh heh… heh heh heh… hahaha, hahahaha…"
Seeing Crocodile's arrogance, Sandy narrowed his eyes.
He wasn't planning to pay.
Sandy wasn't planning to talk anymore either.
"Space Field."
And just like that, the negotiations exploded into action.
