Ultra Fighter, floating in mid air, opened his eyes and looked at the abyss staring back.
The Abyss was cold and dark.
It was a giant eye, about the size of a ten storey building.
The eye had a snake eye slit.
"Where did you pop out from, little one?" An old, feminine voice came from below the eye.
As soon as the words hit Ultra Fighter, he was washed awake by the immense amount of fear that gripped his heart.
'Wha-'
"Hmm… you're afraid of me?" The voice asked once again. "That'ssss~ the right attitude… but isn't that a little too late?"
All of a sudden the giant eyes tilted backwards as the monstrous figure opened its mouth to reveal its fangs.
That was when Ultra Fighter got a view of the entire body of the monster in front of him.
It was a white body.
Not a humanoid one but one that belonged to a snake.
The body itself was vast. It extended into the depths of the forest they were in, crossing the horizon without any seeming end.
The mouth that had opened around Ultra Fighter snapped shut with great speed, trapping him inside it.
Only, as soon as the gigantic snake pulled back, Ultra Fighter still remained fixed in the same spot in the air in front of the snake.
"Hmm…? How did I not eat you up?"
Seemingly realising that this state as a soul only apparition made him immune to the Snake's blatant attempt at making a feast out of him, Ultra Fighter relaxed a little.
"Thank you for having me here… I don't feel like spending more time with you old lady, good bye." Ultra Fighter said before making his way towards the vast world by floating away from the snake.
However he wasn't very lucky since the snake followed him easily given his slow flying speed.
"Ho… now that I look at you carefully… you're flying! Humans don't fly, do they?" the snake lady told Ultra Fighter as her body ground the various trees around them to dust simply by virtue of slithering through them.
Ultra Fighter stopped too after a few seconds, when he realised that there was no getting away from this lady and frowned.
It took him only a second after that to place his finger on who this large snake lady actually was.
"So you're the Snake Sage I've heard so much about…" Ultra Fighter said boldly while looking the Snake lady up and down.
"Ssss~nake Ssss~age? Who callssss~ me that? That'ssss~ the first time I've heard of ssss~uch a name."
"Hmmm…" Ultra Fighter paused for a minute.
Was this the era before the three holy lands of the Shinobi world were established?
'Come to think of it… when exactly were they established?'
'Didn't Hagoromo meet the Great Toad Sage when he was little?'
"Do you know the Frog Sage?" Ultra Fighter finally asked, trying to establish the timeline he was at.
"Huh? Toad Sssss~age? Do you mean those annoying talking toads? Did they give me that name? How laughable…"
"So they exist… then have the Otsutsuki already landed on the planet?"
"Who?"
"Do you know Hagoromo and Hamura? The brothers that sealed up their mother into the moon?"
"Moon? What's a moon?" The snake lady asked confusedly.
Ultra Fighter frowned.
'So the Otsutsuki have not landed yet…'
'I wonder… can I eat the Chakra Fruit before Kaguya and become the new chakra god?'
'Hmm… I wonder what period of time Jiraiya and Shizune landed in…'
'Will I be sent back in time to where I was if Minato seals up the Ryumyaku vein again?'
'If I have travelled to the exact spot of the ryumyaku vein in the past… how did I travel so far back that it doesn't even exist any more?'
'Or am I at a different location entirely?'
"Alright! I've decided to stick with you, Snake Sage. Now nothing can separate us, for better or for worse." Ultra Fighter proclaimed loudly before floating and sitting on top of the Snake Sage's head.
"Has no one ever taught you that it is rude to ride a woman?"
"Come on then… let's go already." Ultra Fighter said, patting the Snake Sage's head.
'It's probably better to stick with her… might learn a thing or two about Sage mode if I do so… also… I wonder if I can change up a few things about history…'
'Will doing so cause a paradox?'
'Hmm…'

Haruto woke up when someone was sucking on his toes.
"OINK!"
"Tonton… go away… I'm sleeping on the floor because it's cool…"
"OINK!"
Sigh…
Haruto pushed himself up and looked at the little pig that was all alone after both Shizune and Tsunade had vanished and sighed deeply.
"Should I get you another pet? To keep you company throughout the day?"
Tonton started wagging her tail immediately, as if enticed by that idea.
"But what pet should I get? It has to be something I don't need to take care of too often… preferably something that doesn't shit or piss… and something that won't die if I forget to give it food…"
Haruto thought about it for a few minutes and his brows furrowed in concentration before it suddenly clicked with him.
"Isn't there a perfect pet like that in the Shinobi world!?"
Tonton tilted her head cutely while looking at Haruto in confusion.
"Tonton, worry not, tomorrow I'll get you a new pet!"
"OINK!"
"Hahaha~ Fine, now let's go to the Yamanaka Compound… I want to get through the final demonstration to Inonichi quickly."
As Haruto stood up and walked to the bathroom for his shower, he began thinking up designs for his pet.
'It definitely must have swords for claws…'
'It should have a plasma canon in the mouth…'
'And it should also be able to perform a variety of jutsu like the three basic jutsu and legilimency… After all, Susie is the best.'
While sitting on the toilet, Haruto's thoughts shifted to Madara.
'With Tsunade, Jiraiya and everyone else out of the picture… I have to be the one who'll resurrect Hashirama and the other Hokage.'
'Should I first summon Tobirama and then research with him a way to create perfect vessels for resurrection?'
'Perhaps we could make use of Hashirama's sage mode to improve the resurrection in some way?'
'Hmm… I'll have to go grave digging then.'
'I wonder where Tobirama and Hashirama's bodies are burried…'
'I can simply ask Kakashi for the information… or peer into the mind of a random jonin in the village… they surely ought to know.'
That was when Megamind spoke softly, 'Haruto, I'm ready to reward you for the increase in your chakra capacity.'
The words brought a smile to Haruto's lips as he closed his eyes and focused on his Occlumency to capture what was about to be no doubt a great ton of information.
'I'm ready Megamind.'
'Alright. Here we go.'
All of a sudden Haruto felt his head hammered with information.
He did his best to control it, and barely managed as he turned what was a flood into a thin stream of information that slowly trickled into his mind.
Haruto kept his eyes closed after that for the rest of his shower and for the duration he ate his breakfast as the information slowly downloaded into his brain.
'Hmmm…'
'Do I really need to fight Madara on my own?'
'Why don't I just simply blast him with an orbital laser canon?'
