The next day, Haruto woke up slightly early and rushed out to a stationery store and got himself some balloons. He filled the balloons with his mouth and quickly packed them up into a storage scroll he purchased from a tools shop.
That was when Haruto arrived at the I.T department.
'Before I forget… I should drop off the request for more computers at the reception.'
Haruto met the same receptionist from before, gathering her attention by softly knocking on the table.
"Good morning Haruto-sama…" the receptionist said softly in a pleasant tone.
'It seems she remembers me and my name from last time…'
Haruto smiled politely at her even though the Occlumency made it hard to feel anything in that smile of his before he spoke his request, "I would like to request a few extra computers."
"Oh? And how many would you like? I can put in the request for you if you'd like…!!"
"Oh, thank you, about ten more with the same specifications as my current computers should do."
"Will that be all?"
"Yes, that'll be all, thank you very much." Haruto said politely before turning around and walking back to his desk to greet and talk to the early arrivals who had already begun their work slicing up text into images by character.
"Are you guys alright here? Finding anything difficult? If so, just let me know…"
The people at their desks put up a rather miserable expression on their faces before shaking their heads softly to indicate that they were fine.
Seeing that they would rather not be disturbed by him, Haruto nodded and spoke calmly, "I thank you for taking me up on this task, when there'll be more tasks in the future, I'll ask for you guys again."
"Thank you Haruto-sama." the old man said calmly before Haruto nodded once again and turned around and walked away. It was only then that everyone present let out a collective sigh of relief, thankful that they hadn't gone out of their way to mess things up in the image trimming process since Haruto had gone over what they'd done for a few minutes.
With his simpler tasks done, Haruto reached Training Ground Seven by ten am. Kakashi and Naruto were already there with Naruto showing off the fireball jutsu to a rather surprised Kakashi.
"Did you see that!!! It went boommm!!!!! Like it was soo cool!!! I mean hot!!! Arghhh!! You saw it right!!! Right?!? Or do you want me to show it to you again!!!??? I can show it to you again you know!!! I've got plenty of chakra to spare!!!"
Suddenly Kakashi's surprise became reasonable to Haruto when he spotted the several burnt trees at the edge of the training ground, Naruto had apparently already fired off about twenty fireballs.
"What are you guys doing? Does Naruto have to pay for those trees he burnt?" Haruto asked casually, pretending like he wasn't affected by the fuss that Naruto had caused. But listening to him, Naruto stiffened up. "I… have to pay for that?"
Having found a reason to save himself from being subjected to watch another twenty fireballs and lampoon his pitiful chakra amount Kakashi grabbed the opportunity by the horns, "Yes, if you shoot out anymore fireballs into the training ground you'll have to pay for the damages, those trees aren't easy to grow after all."
"Oh no!!!" Naruto clamped up.
Seeing Naruto finally silent for the first time that morning, Kakashi spoke quickly, "Haruto, today you'll be performing practically. Go to the I.T department and find Daichi, he'll guide you on what you've got to do today."
Haruto nodded and walked back to the I.T department with some excitement.
He was pretty much desensitised to experimenting on live prisoners by this point so he almost couldn't contain the excitement he felt when he realised he'd be finally putting all the efforts he'd gone through to the test.
'Wait a second… but I've only trained on a fish before!'
'Will I even be able to understand the internals of a human being?'
Suddenly all the excitement that Haruto built up vanished and was replaced by a fear of performing against the unknown.
He still remembered how Daichi had mocked him when he'd first arrived in the I.T department. Would he now face the same mockery again when he failed to contain the poison across the human body?
Haruto trudged up to the I.T department and spoke to the guard, "May I know where Daichi-san is? Kakashi-san sent me for training."
The guard looked up and felt slightly surprised. "You're still here?"
Haruto tilted his head slightly before he realised that the guard in front of him was the same one that had been here all those months ago. And looking at the half dead, jaded eyes of the guard Haruto quickly realised that the guard had expected him to quit long ago.
So Haruto huffed and nodded, "I'm still here. Where's Daichi-san, I'm getting late."
The guard nodded softly before checking his register and looking up to guide Haruto, "He's in the interrogation chambers, room nineteen."
Haruto nodded a short polite thanks before going up to the interrogation chambers and visiting room nineteen.
There Haruto saw Daichi in all his glory, currently torturing a human who was hanging upside down from chains.
The prisoner's face was red, not just from blood rushing down to his head, but from all the blood that had leaked from the lashes on his body.
Not wanting to disturb Daichi, Haruto wanted to wait outside patiently, but almost as soon as he was near the prison cell door Daichi called out to him without even turning around.
"Your footsteps are as loud as an elephant stomping in the forest. Your mere presence disturbs me… I hope your other skills aren't such a disappointment."
Haruto frowned, not understanding what he'd done to warrant such animosity from a fellow colleague, but Haruto complied in the implied words and opened the prison cell door and stepped inside.
Daichi spoke without even looking at him, his gaze fixed on the tools he was using to torture his captive. "There's thirty three milli-liters of poison in his body, your job is to get it all out before he dies."
"Why before he dies?" Haruto asked softly, but Daichi retorted harshly, "Don't even know that… What have you even learnt? Any genin would be able to answer that… It's because the poison will lose its efficacy to kill him. Getting it out before that will keep it useful for longer."
Haruto frowned and nearly berated himself for not thinking about his question before asking, 'Of course! Poison would be wasted… what a stupid question…'
But then Haruto remembered what his teacher used to say in his past life, 'There are no stupid questions…' and pacified himself for now while promising to do better.
With that short question done, Haruto stepped forward towards the prisoner and performed the handseals for the Poison Extraction Jutsu and sent his chakra into the prisoner through the several cuts on his body, focusing on a particularly nasty one above his chest.
Haruto closed his eyes and performed the first step of the jutsu, mapping out the internals.
