Back in his home, the first thing Haruto did was pull out the fish with Hashirama's face on it and study it.
"Can you use Wood Release too Mr. Fishy?"
The fish said nothing, but surprisingly it didn't even try to leave Haruto's hands to go back into the bucket.
"Can you breathe air because of Hashirama's face on your body?" Haruto asked in slight awe.
'Truly… Hashirama cells can give super powers to anyone who uses them, even fishes…'
Not having a proper system to study the fish since he lacked Medical knowledge, Haruto quietly placed the fish in a different bucket. He decided he would store it until Kakashi taught them enough medical ninjutsu before experimenting on the fish to see if he could use the Hashirama cells in any way.
'What do you guys think?' Haruto asked Megumin and everyone else in the Template Inventory Space.
'Raise it as a pet!' Megumin cheered.
'Raise it as a minion!' Megamind exclaimed.
'Kill the cursed thing! It reminds me of that damn dog!' Edward shouted.
'Haruto, you should activate your new Character Template Card first.' Grindelwald kindly reminded him.
Four different responses came from his four different template characters. Only one stuck a chord with him so he responded to Grindelwald.
'I'll draw the new character right now… make sure all of you guys don't fight with the new character!'
'Hai!!!' Megumin shouted out loud with her arms raised in the air while doing an excited little dance.
Haruto shook his head with a smile on his face before diving into the Template Roulette area.
A pair of white gloved hands greeted him once again throwing the cards in a spring flourish.
Haurto observed the cards carefully and just as he spotted a Platinum card he yelled out 'Stop!'
The cards froze mid air but Haruto was still off by a single card.
'Still… the result's better this time…' Haruto thought excitedly. 'This one's a gold card!!!'
The dealer picked out a single card from the several cards that were floating and placed it on the table face down.
The white gloved hands then quickly gathered all the cards before placing them at the corner of the table.
With their right hand hovering over the face down card, the dealer built up tension in Haruto and anticipation for him to see the new character that was about to be revealed.
'Come on! Reveal it already! It's not like it's going to be a psychotic killer or something!'
The hands swiped over the card, causing it to turn over in a sharp flick!
Eyes from behind the card met Haruto's gaze.
The person inside had a long thick single braid of black hair that was tied around their neck to rest on their chest and stomach. A deep turquoise coloured katana scabbard with a blade was slinged over their shoulder with a red thread. She wore a white haori over her black kimono.
Her gaze filled Haruto with fear and dread.
Suddenly a burst of blood filled the card and expanded outwards in waves causing Haruto to promptly exit the Template Roulette space out of fear.
Haruto took a few deep breaths once he was in the outside world before reentering the Template Inventory Space.
"Good evening… Haruto-kun." Unohana Retsu said with a beautiful smile but it only sent shivers down Haruto's spine.
'She must never know about my training sessions with Edward-sensei!! Or… or I'll be dead before I even attend another one…'
"Woah!!! Another lady!!! Finally!!!" Megumin exclaimed as she jumped beside Unohana and began to bother her with introduction questions.
"Why're you making that face Haruto?" Edward asked softly, "That's not a good way to treat a lady you know…"
"Lady… can she even be called a lady?" Haruto mumbled, but to his misfortune Unohana's sharp ears picked up on the poking comment.
She slowly turned towards Haruto and asked him softly after opening her eyes and looking at him with an evaluating gaze, "I can't be called a Lady Haruto-kun? May I know why?"
Gasp! "How dare you mistreat this beautiful lady Haruto!! I didn't know you were sexist!" Megumin exclaimed softly.
Haruto quickly bowed deeply, "No Restu-sama, I was just thinking about someone else, I swear it wasn't a comment about you!!"
All the others in the Template Inventory Space clearly felt something was wrong with how Haruto behaved with fright and fear but when they saw Unohana's graceful demeanour they couldn't come up with a reason as to why Haruto looked so frightful.
Unohana covered her mouth with her hands and laughed softly in a pleasant tone, "Fufufu… Oh come on Haruto-kun… you're giving everyone here the wrong idea about me…"
"Yes mam!" Haruto immediately nodded after standing up straight.
It was at this point that Edward said something that sent a shiver down Haruto's spine. "Haruto, let's start our spar. Megumin can fill Retsu-san in on the details regarding this world."
"Spar?" It wasn't Haruto that asked this question, it was Unohana.
A shiver travelled down Haruto's spine and he froze in place. His teeth clattered as he spoke up quickly, "Spar? What spar? I don't know anything about any spar… there's no spar in ba sing se."
"Why're you being so weird, Haruto? We spar everyday at this time… it's a routine to help you grow stronger."
Unohana's eyes opened with a sparkle in them as she looked at Haruto.
'Dead…'
'I'm dead.'
'May God save me today.'
"Edward-san… would it be alright if I take over the spar for today? I think I would like to stretch my muscles today… they've become a little stiff from inaction."
"Oh? What's your fighting style?" Edward asked softly, slightly interested to know more about the new character that had just appeared.
"Oh, nothing to fancy, I just know a few healing techniques that's all…"
Haruto's mouth fell open.
'Just know a few healing techniques that's all….!?'
'May god smite you down because of your lies you heathen!!'
Edward didn't seem very convinced about letting Haruto fight such a fragile person but he nodded nonetheless since he didn't want to appear rude. 'Haruto's been fighting pretty well these past few days… it's time for a short break… maybe today will serve as a reminder of how far he's come…'
Clearly, Edward didn't think much of a person who only knew a few healing techniques!
"You should fight her Haruto… I think it'll be good for you." Edward said with a polished smile on his face.
Haruto gulped dryly and racked his brain for an out in this situation but it suddenly seemed like all the wrinkles in his brain had been smoothed out since no reason came to him then.
Everyone cleared a small spot around Haruto and Unohana with Megumin cheering from the sidelines, "Let's goo!!! Fighting!!!! I hope you crush Haruto, Unohana-san!"
Unohana smiled at Megumin before looking back at Haruto with a kind smile, "I hope you don't go easy on me Haruto-kun. Show me all you've got."
Haruto smiled wryly before looking at everyone around them. He finally matched Unohana's gaze and spoke softly, "I hope I'm not a disappointment then."
Haruto closed his eyes to calm down for a few seconds before he abandoned all his fear with an exhale and opened his eyes with a sharp glare.
Unohana's gaze however remained relaxed and calm, she was even smiling.
However Haruto noticed that her hands did tighten around her katana's scabbard.
