"Oh?!" Hiruko looked surprised. His eyes widened and his lips quivered.

'Already drooling over the fact that I have a kekkei genkai?' Haruto thought to himself, nearly letting his emotions show on his face but he barely concealed them at the last second.

"So… can you help me Hiruko-san?"

Hiruko's eyes gleamed ominously with barely concealed malintent as he stared Haruto up and down before speaking eagerly.

"You won't believe me, Haruto-kun, but I'm actually quite interested. In fact I've recently been working on studying kekkei genkai techniques and hope to find a way to transplant kekkei genkai onto a suitable shinobi. And as you can guess, it's rather hard to come across shinobi who have kekkei genkai and exponentially harder to capture them alive. So what do you say, you help me out with the research and I'll help you out in your troubles?"

"Oh?" Haruto hadn't expected Hiruko to be so direct. 'He is more eager than I expected… is this why he was caught? Because he lost his sense of discrimination as to what needed to be hidden and what could be left out in the open?'

"Any problem Haruto-kun?" Hiruko asked with his perpetually smiling face.

Haruto already knew what questions he had to ask, but to make it not seem as if he already knew exactly what Hiruko was working on, Haruto pretended to think before he posed his question.

"Hiruko-san… I'm quite scared of needles and stuff… will I have to give out a lot of blood?" Haruto asked while pretending to be scared. He didn't have to act out a lot since he was genuinely terrified of letting Hiruko anywhere near his body. Especially with that puppet jutsu of his that could rob him of his free will.

"Oh?" Hiruko's eyes widened for a second before he burst out laughing. "Don't worry Haruto-kun… all I need is a sample of your kekkei genkai chakra."

"No blood!?" Haruto asked, genuinely surprised. It wasn't until he remembered the scene in the movie where Hiruko forcefully absorbed the chakra of the ANBU members to assess what jutsu they had learnt that he let go of his surprise.

"No blood. I promise. After all, Kekkei Genkai can be built through combining various chakra natures, and once built it transforms the body to suit it better. So the secret lies in the special chakra of the Kekkei Genkai user." Hiruko nodded with a calm smile.

"But then how will you transfer the kekkei genkai to the suitable shinobi?" Haruto asked, wondering since Orochimaru's method to give birth to someone with Hashirama's wood release was to merge Hashirama's cells with them. And Hiruko's own Chimera technique involved consuming the bodies of the kekkei genkai holders to gain their powers.

"Ah… that's a little advanced for you Haruto-kun… but to simplify things a little bit, there are a multitude of jutsu that allows one to absorb chakra from another person and use it as their own. My research delves into converting the fundamental chakra of the person into the kekkei genkai chakra to transfer the Kekkei genkai."

Haruto's eyes widened. This was completely different that he'd expected. He'd been ready to give up a lot more. After all, if such a risk let him gain more chakra it would help him immensely.

'Could it be… that this Hiruko has not gone bad yet?'

'But I truly don't feel comfortable around him… are my instincts lying to me?'

'No… it could also be that he isn't interested in absorbing my body because it is merely scorch release… there has to be a method to his madness. If he's trying to absorb kekkei genkai and various corpses to gain immortality like Orochimaru it is more likely that he knows something about the harmony of these kekkei genkai that lets him gain immortality that I don't.'

'If that's the case, then all he needs to do right now is perfect his method of transferring a kekkei genkai while he waits for the perfect opportunity to absorb the kekkei genkai that he wishes to absorb to gain immortality.'

'In that case, there will likely be an opportunity in the future. Someone with a kekkei genkai that he must absorb will appear. And that will be the moment for me to strike.'

'Until then… I must bid my time and count my benefits from collaborating with this mad man.'

"What do you think, Haurto-kun?"

Haruto nodded immediately, "If that's all you need of me Hiruko-san, then I'd say let's seal the deal." and extended his hand forward.

Hiruko grabbed Haruto's small hand and swung it once to seal the deal, "To a fruitful partnership, Haurto-kun."

Haruto smiled in response and was about to leave when Hiruko stopped him.

"Let's begin right now, shall we?" Hiruko asked with a smile on his face.

'I guess he is quite eager after all.' Haruto thought.

Hiruko looked at the boy in front of him with interest.

'A Kekkei genkai huh… Scorch Release…'

'Although not one I need, it doesn't hurt to try out part of the Chimera Jutsu that I've created on this boy…'

'As long as I absorb his chakra and activate the chimera technique I should be able to use scorch release for as long as I have his chakra in me.'

'It'll be a good kekkei genkai to have in case I ever need to fight my way out of the village.'

'But the boy… by the look of fear he keeps giving me… he seems to know something… he obviously can't know about my chimera jutsu project since I haven't written anything down about it anywhere.'

'Is he really just afraid of needles and blood?'

'I guess him dropping out of the academy is proof enough of that… he probably couldn't stand being hurt in the academy so he quit.'

'Either way… if I ask him to knead fresh chakra for me and then once I have his chakra, I should be able to go through his memories… I should be able to catch a glimpse of what truly fears him about me.'

"Haruto-kun… why don't you give me some of your chakra… freshly kneaded ofcourse."

"Freshly kneaded? Why?"

"Becuase freshly kneaded chakra is made out of fresh physical energy and that helps in easily converting chakra from one form to another so it is easier to absorb and use for a third shinobi." Hiruko bullshitted.

"Heee…. I see… you need my freshly kneaded scorch release chakra right?"

"Yes. Just pour it into this scroll here." Hiruko said, handing over a scroll to Haruto. "It's a chakra sealing scroll, it can store chakra for long durations. This will help me store the chakra until I find a suitable target shinobi to inherit this kekkei genkai."

"Got it." Haruto nodded and kneaded some fresh chakra for Hiruko which he stored in the seal.

"That's all Haruto-kun. Thanks for the effort. Once I finish experimenting with this, I shall ask you for more. And for your reward, here's a scroll for a medicinal bath. This can improve the physical strength of your body, improving your physical energy, indirectly improving your chakra amount. Soaking in it often will slowly improve your body condition. You can get most of the materials from the Nara Medicine Stores. It was made by Tsunade-sama so it is completely safe, you don't need to worry about it."

"Thank you Hiruko-san." Haruto said before leaving the office.

Hiruko's face on the other hand morphed. His gentle feather-like smile turned from one he would present to a kindred spirit into a rough demonic smile of extortion.

'Let's see Haruto-kun… what secrets your memories truly hold. After performing the Yin Release : Memory Read Jutsu I will be able to see your memories exactly as you created the chakra Haruto-kun!'

Hiruko formed a few hands seals before separating part of Haruto's deep blue chakra from the chakra storage seal before absorbing it into himself.

Only, his vision was bombarded by something completely unexpected-

"EEEEEEXXXXPPPPLLLLLLLOOOOOOOOSSSSSIIIIIIIOOOOOONNNNNNNNNN!!!!!!!"

"The hell!" Hiruko shouted, tossing the scroll away like it was cursed.
