Sil pulled her closer, so close a piece of paper would not have fit, "no, we are very much alive. You are back in my arms where you belong."
"Are we…."
"Dressed? Yes." Sil smiled a sad smile into his wife's hair.
"….married," she said so softly, only he could hear it.
Within moments, he had her back against the wall. Sil spoke softly so only she could hear, "you are the only woman there has ever been for me. We are perfection. Why would another even be a glint in my eyes? I have waited for you to return to me for over a thousand years…"
"A thousand???" Minx said in surprise and so loudly the rest in the room heard her.
Sil nodded.
"It's only been a bit over 100 for us."
Minx took a deep breath, trying to steady her voice. It came out cracking with emotion.
"It turns out the place I came from has two species of humanoid people. Mine is immortal. To come through the portal, I had to pass some my power to Angelina. I wasn't supposed to have my ability any more according to the experts but they were wrong. She opened the portal for us to come back."
Sil brought Minx back to the table as she continued as this could be shared with everyone, "I didn't know if you'd still be alive but I knew if anyone was, it would be you. I don't know how long our children will live but we have grandchildren to three of them. Owen and Angelina have not yet married. Tell me everything, My Love."
With that, Logan cleared his throat to draw their attention. Logan provided them a very detailed expMinxtion of the changes in the world though a video of Quinn and some of his friends talking as though they were all catching up. Then Logan continued with what happened after that, including there were no more vampires or werewolves. Quinn, Sil and a few others had gone to another world and killed the celestial responsible for creating the demonic species. Quinn was now the only vampire and no one understood why he was special in that. Logan thought it was because of the system Quinn uses but it was sheer speculation.
Quinn and Layla were now together and had two children. Peter had a woman in his life as well. This made Minx smile. She then found out that almost the entire Blade family was wiped out in a war they recently won. Sil blamed himself for this and held Minx tighter in his arms. He refused to release her when Logan started talking. The twins were very upset with this because they had grown up with the Blade children, as they were known. They were all aunts and uncles to the children but they still played and trained together.
Once Logan fell silent, a few hours after he started, Sil told Minx he lost his ability to regenerate his MC fighting the celestial that Quinn killed. He was no longer the powerful man she remembered. She hugged and kissed him, telling him it didn't matter.
"Uncle Sil, why did you put Aunt Minx against the wall?"
Sil responded, "because I wanted to."
Minx giggled. She then noticed her sai on the table. "Why are those there?" she looked to Olivia when she asked the question.
"Dad touched one while he had you on the wall the first time. I thought it was safer."
Minx shook her head, "no. Look around. Those at the table had to scoot back because the energy is conducted by this table. We need to use the energy."
Minx got up from Sil's lap and grabbed the sai, passing one to Olivia.
"Hit as hard as you can to bleed the energy off faster. Owen, stand behind her with healing."
With those words, Sil got up and went to grab the sai from his daughter.
Minx stopped him. "What are you doing?"
"I can't stand by and watch my daughter be hurt."
Minx sighed, "You are human. Just holding them will hurt you."
"Then we do this hard and fast like your original plan."
Minx pinched her nose and sighed once again. She had to admit he was stronger than Olivia so the hits would bleed the energy faster.
"Fine but get in a fighting stance before I hand this to you. Owen, same thing. Be prepared to heal your father."
Owen nodded, a serious expression on his face. He's seen these weapons in action many times. They were very dangerous to his mother's opponents.
Sil got ready and Minx handed the sai to him. Having already felt the power of the weapon, he braced himself and swung the minute his wife was ready. In three hits, all the blood she had used to power his weapon was used and it was safe for him to hold. Her weapon still had a small bit left.
"Sorry Logan."
She kicked a metal chair over to herself and swung down like she was using a club. The chair melted into a pile of goo but the blood charge was drained in the attack.
Minx then examined her husband's aura and qi and noticed somehow, he wasn't hurt. Owen had not healed him but his body seemed to be hardened by the millennia of fighting. She smirked at him and jumped into his arms. She held onto his hips with her knees and sat up higher on his body. She gave him a passionate kiss charged with how impressed she was with his growth and how much she loved him.
Logan nodded then left the table. He came back a few minutes later with four cards and four watches. He gave them each a watch and a card.
"I set up a trust for your assets and set up your planet as a protectorate. Noone is allowed there."
Minx smiled and took the watch and card. Leave it to Logan to make sure I have enough money…
"My family on the planet? Are they still there?"
"Those you gave your powers to are and they have had descendants. The peace with the beasts is still in place. The planet is thriving now. The desert has shrunk as well."
Minx smiled, "our friends? Who is still alive after all this time, how are you alive?"
"I have a nest crystal. Those left from the Blade family are because of Sil's soul weapon. Without him having MC, everyone will age naturally and eventually die."
Minx nodded, "I understand."
"As for the rest, I don't know who's alive that you would know. I called Layla before you arrived to see what their schedule is like. Do you want to go visit them?"
