"You! You!"
Batman clutched his chest and struggled to rise, but Adrian stepped forward before he could stand.
Adrian planted his foot firmly against Batman's chest and looked down at him from above.
"It seems you still don't understand your current situation, Bruce."
He snorted coldly and kicked him away.
Bang!
Batman let out a muffled groan as his body shot backward across the ground like a ball struck with overwhelming force. The friction tore through the air with a shrill sound as he was hurled through the maze like a violent storm.
At the critical moment, a golden figure suddenly appeared behind him.
Doctor Fate teleported into position and attempted to absorb the impact, but the tremendous force behind Adrian's kick exceeded even his expectations. Despite being fully prepared, he was driven backward alongside Batman.
The two rolled across the broken ground before crashing into a wall, shattering it upon impact.
Fortunately, Doctor Fate absorbed most of the force, preventing Batman from suffering even more severe injuries.
Wizard Boy quickly rushed over.
He positioned himself in front of the others and helped Batman back to his feet.
At the same time, Constantine broke free from Flash's interference and arrived beside them.
"We need to leave now."
He looked at Batman's battered condition and frowned.
"Let me stay behind. I'll keep Homelander occupied while the rest of you get everyone out safely."
Supported by Doctor Fate, Batman wiped the blood from the corner of his mouth and spoke with difficulty.
His determination had never wavered.
He had already prepared himself for death. If his sacrifice could preserve the resistance and keep hope alive, then he would have no regrets.
"I told you long ago that taking that green serum would end badly, but you never listen."
Constantine's irritation was obvious.
"Look at yourself. You can barely stand. How exactly are you planning to keep Homelander busy, mate?"
He walked over and examined Batman's injuries.
"Or have you finally lost your mind, you stubborn bastard?"
Constantine clicked his tongue.
"Although I have to admit, you do look rather dramatic covered in blood."
He turned toward Wizard Boy and Clarion.
"Clarion, are you ready?"
Before he could continue, a burst of yellow energy suddenly exploded from above.
The shockwave slammed directly into Wizard Boy.
He had no time to react.
The impact launched him backward, smashing him through a towering staircase.
Boom!
Stone exploded outward.
Wizard Boy's bloodied body crashed heavily into the ruins.
"No!"
Batman roared in agony.
Above them, Sinestro floated in the air with one arm extended.
The Yellow Lantern Ring on his finger still glowed, and faint smoke rose from its surface after firing the devastating blast.
Sinestro looked down at Batman, Constantine, and Doctor Fate with complete indifference.
Before anyone could react, another figure moved.
"Sinestro!"
Clark's furious roar echoed through the maze.
His body became a blur as he shot through the air toward Sinestro.
His fists clenched tightly.
"How dare you attack him from behind!"
Clark was furious.
Although he never considered himself a perfect hero, he could not tolerate such conduct.
Even enemies deserved a certain level of honor.
This crossed a line.
It was unforgivable.
Sinestro showed no concern.
"This is war, Superman."
His voice remained composed.
"Should I create a ring and invite everyone to fight under equal rules?"
Clark stared at him with disgust.
"That's murder."
Sinestro turned toward him.
"And the one lecturing me is an alien who abandoned his own side."
His gaze grew colder.
"You once stood against your own brother. Let's not pretend our differences are that significant."
"I never wanted Adrian dead."
Clark's voice trembled with anger.
"That doesn't matter."
Sinestro shook his head.
"Nobody cares what you intended. They care about what you did."
He continued coldly.
"You opposed Homelander. That fact cannot be changed."
"The difference between us is smaller than you think."
Below them, Batman and Constantine exchanged glances.
Adrian stood nearby with his arms folded, silently observing the confrontation between Clark and Sinestro.
His attention had temporarily shifted away from them.
Batman forced himself to look away from Wizard Boy's motionless body.
Grief threatened to overwhelm him, but now was not the time.
The survivors needed to escape.
He lowered his voice.
"John, will your plan buy us enough time?"
Constantine remained silent for several seconds.
Then he met Batman's gaze.
"Yes, assuming it doesn't kill us first."
Capturing Raven had been part of his preparations.
Everything that had happened tonight had led to this moment.
"Let's hope our luck hasn't run out."
Constantine raised his hand.
Bang!
An unnatural pulse spread throughout the entire labyrinth.
Purple magic circles rapidly appeared around him as he began chanting.
Arcane energy surged through the air like living lightning.
Everyone felt the disturbance.
Batman's allies, Diana, the others, all sensed the unsettling power spreading through the maze.
Adrian crossed his arms and watched carefully.
Constantine had already completed the spell. Stopping him was no longer possible.
Yet Adrian showed little concern.
Some things eventually had to be confronted.
Decades spent within the mental world had taught him that truth.
As he felt the power within the magic circle, he already had a vague understanding of what was coming.
After the initial explosion, thunderous roars echoed through the void.
Purple clouds rapidly spread overhead.
The ominous energy descended like a storm.
The entire battlefield fell silent.
"What is that?"
Shazam stared upward in shock.
Harley Quinn grinned.
"Now this is getting interesting. This feels exactly like my kind of party."
Within the purple mist, thunder suddenly erupted.
A massive crack tore across the sky.
The heavens split apart.
Everyone instinctively looked upward.
Lightning exploded across the darkness, nearly concealing the growing fissure.
Meanwhile, Constantine approached Batman.
He seemed almost unconcerned with the catastrophe unfolding above.
He calmly lit a cigarette.
"Just wait."
He exhaled smoke.
Batman frowned.
"This won't spiral out of your control, will it?"
Given Constantine's history, he had every reason to worry.
Constantine did not answer.
He stared at the crack with unprecedented seriousness.
Under the flashing lightning, the fissure began to expand.
The enormous tear spread outward with deafening rumbles.
Its growth accelerated with every passing second.
As the crack widened, a dense abyssal aura poured from within like an endless tide.
The atmosphere changed immediately.
The air became thick and heavy.
A faint smell of sulfur spread throughout the labyrinth.
The stone ground gradually turned crimson.
The architecture itself seemed to warp under the influence of the energy.
Everyone realized that something terrible was coming.
The spatial fracture expanded even faster.
The surrounding space twisted and folded upon itself like an impossible puzzle.
Reality bent and rearranged itself above the maze.
Clark had been moments away from punching Sinestro.
His fist remained suspended in the air.
Both men stared upward.
The expansion eventually began to slow.
Clark released a breath of relief.
Perhaps the spell had failed.
Perhaps it was ending.
But the crack refused to disappear.
A bolt of lightning suddenly shot into the sky.
It struck the fissure directly.
The entire space trembled violently.
The broken sections of reality began reconnecting themselves like giant building blocks.
The collapsing space solidified.
The purple energy and lightning merged together.
The once unstable crack became something tangible.
Batman watched the process unfold.
Even among the magic users on his side, nobody possessed Constantine's mastery over strange and forbidden magic.
The tearing space, the rebuilding reality, and the merging energies finally reached completion.
The enormous fissure transformed into a gigantic Gate of Hell.
It stretched more than one hundred meters across.
The vibrations finally ceased.
Constantine's face had become deathly pale.
Doctor Fate remained silent.
Yet his expression was even grimmer.
The largest Gate of Hell he had ever seen measured less than half this size.
He understood exactly what such a gate meant.
Hell contained countless demons.
If enough of them gathered under a leader, an army numbering in the hundreds of thousands could emerge.
But Doctor Fate knew this gate was not meant for ordinary demons.
Whatever Constantine had summoned was something far worse.
He exchanged a glance with Detective Chimp.
Both saw the same concern.
Then a gigantic figure emerged.
The enormous body towered above the labyrinth.
Its crimson form was wrapped in lightning.
The demon's true body covered the sky itself.
Everyone froze.
The massive demon stared downward.
Then it roared.
"You are here! Homelander, I finally found you!"
