Chapter 268 - Leave Dilibrash

I lay flat against the general's back as he flew me toward the eastern port.

Then, all of a sudden, he spoke up.

"So why are there two Braves? And why would they choose a half-demon as the Saintess?"

A few seconds later, he sounded confused.

"Why aren't you answering? Reply to me."

I honestly had no idea how he expected me to talk. The wind speed was so insane that even my clothes had dried completely. I didn't even dare open my mouth.

Eventually, we arrived at the port city, and the general descended onto a grassy field not far from the city walls. Exhausted, I slid off his back while thinking that I seriously needed to get him a saddle.

Then he spoke to me again, this time with an oddly suggestive tone.

"You're so cruel. The moment you got me, you stopped caring about me."

I took a deep breath before replying irritably.

"How exactly was I supposed to talk while flying at a speed where loosening my grip for one second would send me flying? And the wind blasting straight into my face was so strong I thought my mouth would get twisted if I opened it. How was I supposed to speak?"

"My bad, I guess."

The way he brushed it off with that carefree smile only made me more annoyed. Whatever. I was tired. Better to finish saying what needed to be said and send him away quickly.

"I want to know the answer to your questions too, so I don't know either. Also, you understand what should and shouldn't be said, right?"

"Keep your and the Saintess's identities secret."

"Exactly. Keep it secret. You can go back and eat breakfast now. And I want news about the Enchanted Sea before next month's Food King Tournament."

"Alright."

The general beat his wings and flew away. The second he disappeared, I hurriedly took out the travel house, entered it, and rushed straight to the washroom to rinse my mouth over and over again. Finally, the disgusting taste of vomit disappeared.

At one point, I glanced at the mirror and immediately burst out laughing so hard I sprayed water everywhere. My hair had been blown completely wild by the wind and somehow stayed that way. I looked taller because of it.

Still, my hair had gotten pretty long. It needed trimming, but unfortunately Lina wasn't here. She had always been the one cutting my hair. Doing it myself was out of the question. Humans couldn't see the back of their own heads, and randomly cutting it would only end in humiliation.

After that, I tossed my filthy clothes into the washing machine, turned it on, and went to enjoy a nice hot shower. The hot water felt incredible.

Then, at 11:30 a.m., I boarded a ship and left.

The moment I disembarked and entered the Asrangari at around four o'clock, I contacted Jacob and told him I had arrived in Aslangari. After that, I went to eat lunch before heading straight for the capital.

Since we had bought tickets for whichever ship departed the soonest, we never agreed on a specific port to meet at. That was why we planned to regroup in the capital instead.

This country was currently in the middle of winter, so before the ship even reached the harbor, I had already put on a thick winter coat.

Afterward, I passed through an abandoned city, crossed a 509-kilometer bridge covered in all kinds of mathematical formulas, and wiped out a group that had been brainwashed by some missionary.

Finally, on February 23rd at 2:00 p.m., I arrived at the capital.
