Chapter 32 - Chapter 32 "Heavy Dependence on Mountain Trolls"

"Aaaaaah! I'm going to die! A troll has come in!"

"The sky is falling! The sky is falling!"

"Help! I don't want to die!"

  "What's a troll?"

  ...

The students instantly erupted into chaos, like ants swarming on a hot plate.

Dumbledore had to unleash several enormous purple fireworks from the tip of his wand before the young wizards in the Great Hall finally quieted down.

"Prefect," Dumbledore said in a deep voice, "take all the students from each house to their dormitories immediately!"

Percy skillfully gathered the first-year Gryffindor students and led them away in an orderly fashion.

However, there were three less orderly figures in the group.

"How could a troll get into the school?" Harry asked Cohen and Ron.

How else could it get in?

The culprit, Cohen, mingled between the two without batting an eye.

"Where's Hermione?" Cohen reminded Harry, just in case he forgot something—he couldn't let Cohen go rescue Hermione alone, could he? What would happen to these two "useless men around Hermione" afterward?

  [Ding!] [Goodwill Value +10]

"She hasn't shown up all afternoon either—wait." Harry explained, but suddenly remembered something, grabbed Cohen and Ron, and whispered, "Hermione!"

"What happened to her?" Ron asked.

"Remember? On our way to the party, Parvati told Lavender that Hermione had been crying in the girls' restroom all afternoon..."

"Then go and be a hero!" Cohen encouraged, "Otherwise, what about your homework this week?" "

  ? " "

  ?"

  "I mean—"

"Ron said something to her today." Harry explained to Cohen.

"Okay..." Ron gritted his teeth and quickly made a decision, "But don't let Percy see—"

They blended into the Hufflepuff crowd like thieves and successfully slipped into the girls' restroom.

Cohen felt that this operation would probably be easier to handle than the original plot—because those two trolls were definitely fighting in the underground classroom.

Unfortunately, the plot didn't seem to be going so smoothly.

But Cohen seemed to hear a suppressed scream through the door, a low growl coming from something's throat, followed by a series of rapid, loud noises.

By the time Cohen tried to stop Harry, it was too late.

  The door was already open.

  "Squeak—"

Harry and Ron witnessed the most unforgettable scene of their lives.

There were two trolls in the bathroom.

One was tall, the other short, but both were at least twelve feet tall, with dull, granite-like skin. Their

massive, clumsy bodies overlapped, like two hills sloping together.

Two giant wooden clubs, which the trolls used as weapons, were carelessly tossed aside; they no longer needed them, they had more important things to do.

"I tried to stop you when I vaguely heard the noise," Cohen's lips twitched, "but it seems a bit too late..."

Why were the trolls he and Quirrell brought a male and a female?!

No, why did the trolls start—

what kind of grotesque game was this as soon as they met?

Cohen felt that God should pay him for seeing this.

"Sorry," Harry whispered to the two trolls.

"We'll get out of here right away." Ron felt like his face had been petrified.

The two of them took a step back and stood in a row with Cohen.

  *Smack—*

Harry slammed the bathroom door shut—but the two trolls inside had already spotted them.

Now their roars could be heard clearly even through the door.

  And then…

  "Ah!!!"

Hermione's scream rang out with the sound of a bursting pipe.

The trolls, with their limited intelligence—their red-hot bodies likely had already randomly shifted their attacks to the nearest living creature.

"Hermione!" Harry and Ron exclaimed simultaneously.

Cohen, caught up in the explosion, had completely forgotten they were there to rescue Hermione—the trolls and goblins were just too much of a topic of conversation; Cohen had just been thinking about how to record the scene and publish it in the Daily Prophet…

The two, flustered and clumsy, were pulled apart by Cohen—

  "Alohomora!"

The lock clicked open, and Harry and Ron quickly squeezed inside, Cohen following behind.

  [Soul Strength: 7]

  [Soul Strength: 8]

These two trolls were far weaker than adult eight-eyed spiders—both in terms of soul and intelligence.

Cohen was now dealing with them as easily as sucking on jelly.

  "Ugh..."

But Cohen vomited first—the thought of eating the souls of these two things made him nauseous, especially with the stench of trolls still lingering in the air, making the disgust even worse.

  "Hey!"

Harry grabbed a faucet and slammed it against the wall.

The two trolls slowly turned towards the source of the sound, their clubs less than a foot from Hermione.

"Hey! You two big idiots!" Ron ran to the other end and smashed a rock into one of the trolls' heads.

"Blast!" Cohen cast an Explosion Charm on the other troll's head.

What could have been solved with two Avada Kedavra spells now required a roundabout approach due to onlookers.

Cohen planned to use "Crush the Roof" to dismantle the roof above the two trolls and use the Hogwarts bricks to knock them unconscious.

Their souls were useless now; Cohen's soul strength was stuck at 20, and he estimated that only strong, eight-eyed spiders with a strength of 10 or higher could boost it.

This would also prevent Cohen from feeling nauseous all day after consuming the souls of these two trolls from the filthy school.

"Hermione! Come here!" Harry urged Hermione, whose target was now Ron and Cohen.

But Hermione was only an eleven-year-old girl, and she was terrified, huddled in a corner, pressed tightly against the wall.

Cohen pointed his wand at the ceiling—he was waiting for the two trolls to get closer.

That way, falling roof tiles wouldn't injure anyone else.

However, Harry's next move forced Cohen to abandon Plan A—he leaped onto the back of one of the trolls and plunged his wand into its nostril.

The next second, the other troll was about to swing its wand at the head of its newly chosen other half—or rather, at Harry on his other half's head.

"Does it have to be like this?!" Cohen sighed, facepalming.

Anxious Ron, wand in hand, was at a loss and quickly used the only spell he knew on the troll.

  "Wingardium Leviosa!"!"

The troll swung its wand at nothing.

But one stick wouldn't stun two trolls, especially since this time the stick was aimed horizontally. Even if Ron's magic wore off, the stick would only hit the floor after freefall, not one of the trolls' heads.

There was no other way but to go a little beyond his capabilities—

  "Flipendo!"

Cohen wasn't aiming the spell at one of the trolls, but at Harry on its head.

"Stop Shock." Cohen immediately cast a Shock-Stop Charm on Harry to avoid becoming the villain who murdered the Savior. With

the obstacle dealt with, the two trolls were easier—

  "Shatter."

Cohen's final spell struck the ceiling, and a huge, irregularly shaped brick crashed down, knocking both trolls to the ground.

  [Ding! Goodwill +100]

  [Ding! Goodwill +100]

[Current Goodwill (2000/2000) has reached the target. Goodwill side quest unlocked. Backpack system activated.]

  "..."

Cohen didn't know how to describe his feelings.

So, goodwill points and sin points... you actually need to accumulate them to unlock new storylines?!
