Three hundred years ago, a time marked by bloodshed, a war raged on between three nations that seemed never-ending.
The humans, whose resolve burned bright at the thought of losing, believed themselves to be the pinnacle of evolution. The seraphim, with souls that glimmered in magnificent golden hues, descended like angels from the heavens, wielding power that no one could ever hope to replicate. And then there were the hollows, whose crimson void engulfed all in darkness and despair. All this bloodshed was fought for a cause they deemed "worthy": the Soul Tree, an almost infinite source of energy. If one faction were to acquire it, they would have enough energy to last—forever.
This seemingly endless conflict was ultimately interrupted by a new, even greater threat: the Arkines. These creatures of impending doom had numbers so vast that it seemed impossible to see their end. This world-ending menace led to the alliance of the three nations, who united to protect their world from the Arkines.
During this battle, nine legendary heroes emerged from the ashes of their fallen brethren, chosen by the goddess of eternity, Averidia. Three hollows, three humans, and three seraphim took charge in the Great War and successfully drove the Arkines back to the dimension from which they came.
After the war ended, the nine legendary heroes were dubbed the Blooms of Averidia, ushering in a new era of peace among the three nations. No longer were they in constant war; instead, they had fought together to defeat a common enemy, bringing about harmony. This united nation was known as Etheria.
One hundred years after the Great Arkine War had ended, Etheria grew stronger, empowered by the Soul Tree. Although there seemed to be nothing that could fracture its grace, peace was not guaranteed.
To prepare the new generation for the inevitable return of the Arkines, a school was established—one that would help humans, hollows, and seraphim unlock their powers. Perhaps one day, someone would rise to become like the heroes who came before.
