------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Contrary to popular belief, I wasn't run over by a truck going ninety miles an hour through the streets. In fact, I'm pretty sure I passed away peacefully from old age in my sleep. I did however wind up in Limbo and end up having a meeting with the Creator.

The Creator, who was dressed in a mix of black and white, smiled at me and stuck his hand out for a hand shake, "Welcome to Limbo my child. I'm the Creator, an omnipotent and omniscient deity. You have passed away and left the mortal realm."

I shook the Creator's hand and looked around at the all white void. The Creator waved his hand and two black leather lazy boys appeared. He gestured for me to sit down with him and so I did. I was still looking around at the all white void. I practically melded into the puffy padding of the comfy chair and then took a good look at the Creator.

The Creator was kind of average looking, but I guess that was kind of what he was going for. He was about five foot eleven and had short neatly cropped brown hair with hazel eyes. Facially the Creator was neither handsome nor ugly but kind of in between. He was wearing black slacks and black leather shoes with a white dress shirt and a black blazer.

The Creator smiled at me again and told me casually, "Your karmic balance is heavily skewed towards the positive so you must have done a lot of good in your life. Since this is the case I'm going to give you the option to reincarnate into any world, fictional or non-fictional, of your choosing. You can also ask me for three wishes and I'll grant them to you."

I nodded and thought about my decision carefully for a moment and then asked, "Could I please be reincarnated into the world of Pokémon as Silver, the son of Giovanni?"

"Of course you can. A most excellent choice if I do say so myself," The Creator said somewhat excitedly, "Do you want a fresh start or do you want to be able to keep all your memories from your previous life?"

"I'd like to be able to keep all my memories if possible," I replied quickly.

The Creator nodded happily and then asked, "And what would you like for your three wishes?

"For my first wish, I'd like to be reborn with the Power of Viridian just like Lance and Yellow," I said politely

The Creator smiled and casually snapped his fingers as if to grant me my wish, "Done… What would you like for your second wish, my child?"

"For my second wish, I'd like to be reborn with a user-friendly A.I. system that can scan Pokémon, has an inventory, can issue quests, and has a good point system with a shop feature," I said somewhat excitedly.

The Creator nodded once again and snapped his fingers before smiling coyly at me, "And for your last wish, my child?"

"For my last wish, could you make it so that I start at thirteen with all the memories of Silver's childhood and don't have to be stuck as a baby. If you could also make it so that children start their journeys at thirteen instead of ten so I'm not behind that would be fantastic,"

The Creator was no longer smiling. He snapped his fingers as if to say awe shucks and tsked. He stared at me with a shrewd gaze and smiled before shaking his head.

"You're much smarter than the others whom I've reincarnated, my child. I usually get almost all of them with that trick," The Creator said with a heavy sigh, "Done… Good luck with your reincarnation, my child."

The Creator snapped his fingers once more and suddenly I was falling through the void with a bright light show that was slowly giving me a migraine. The light kept getting brighter and brighter, so bright that I thought I might go blind. I closed my eyes and tried to cover my face to shield myself from the light and then it suddenly disappeared.

------------------------------------------------------------------------------

I opened my eyes once more and suddenly found myself in the body of what I assumed to be a thirteen year old Silver Corleone. I was lying in what appeared to be a king sized bed with navy blue sheets and a puffy duvet. I just laid there for a moment trying to analyze my or rather Silver's memories.

Silver wasn't very spoiled as I assumed he would have been as a second generation heir. There were memories of going to the trainer's school in Viridian City. There he learned a variety of things about the Pokémon League and general knowledge and know-how. There were also memories of being trained by several members of Team Rocket in loads of different subjects. Things such as business acumen, negotiating, cheating, thievery, espionage, hand to hand combat, weapons handling, and Pokémon battling.

Most importantly there were several memories of my father personally teaching me how to use the Power of Viridian. Giovanni also taught me how to use the basics of aura. We discovered that my aura's elemental affinities were ground, ice, and dark. I was the perfect blend of both of my parents, my father had ground type aura, my mother had ice type aura, and I also got a recessive tertiary affinity in dark type aura.

Silver had pretty loose morals as the Heir to Team Rocket. He wasn't evil per se but he certainly wasn't a good citizen. I would obviously be playing the part of an Anti-Hero in this life. I vowed to myself to only steal from the rich but not to unnecessarily help the needy.

It was my thirteenth birthday today and today was the day I would finally get a starter Pokémon from my father, Giovanni. I would also receive a Pokémon League issued trainer's license. I climbed out of bed and looked around my bedroom. It was a very nice bedroom. There was a dresser full of clothes and a desk loaded with what looked like school textbooks. Everything was very neat and tidy. There was a bathrobe hanging on the back of my bedroom door. I put it on and walked out into the hallway and down the stairs towards the dining room.

In the dining room I found my parents and Executive Archer sitting at the kitchen table obviously discussing business. There was a plate of food sitting to my fathers right which I instinctively knew to be my seat.

"Good morning everyone," I said as I sat down and picked up my utensils to start eating breakfast.

"Happy birthday Silver!" My mom, who was very clearly Executive Ariana, said animatedly with a kind and loving smile.

My father set down the file he was reading and nodded to Archer who left the room. He turned to look at me and a small smirk of his upturned lips let me know he was happy. He slid a different file over towards me and motioned for me to read it.

Interested in what my father had given me I picked up the file and opened it. Inside was a sheet of paper detailing my information and the standard League drivel with a small ID card stuck to the paper with a bit of sticky tack. I plucked the ID card from the sheet and took a good look at it and nodded contentedly. It was a standard issue trainers license that could be used as League identification.

"Excellent!" I said with a Cheshire grin, "Thank you very much father!"

My father nodded and picked up his file again before saying, "Don't thank me yet Silver, Archer has yet to come back with your birthday gift."

Just as he finished saying that Archer came back carrying a big black and red gift box with a silver bowtie on the top. He placed it on the table in front of me and walked back around the table to sit next to my mom.

"Go on kid, open it up. It's a gift from your father," Archer said with a smirk.

I put down my fork and knife and put my plate off to the side and brought the box closer towards me. I took the lid off the box and looked inside as I set it down. Inside the box was a small and light red and black backpack which was obviously made from Silph Co. with spatial technology. I took a good look at the backpack and ran my hands over the material and set it aside. Also inside the box was a black utility belt with eight poké ball clips already filled with seven luxury balls.

The last gift inside was another smaller gift wrapped box about the size of a poké ball. I was pretty sure I knew what was inside. I opened the smaller box and inside was the final luxury ball that clipped onto my belt, although I could tell this one wasn't empty. I held the luxury ball and looked to my father for permission and after receiving a nod went to the other side of the dining room where there was room to open the luxury ball.

I pressed the button on the luxury ball and pointed it towards the floor space in front of me and a red beam of light materialized and dematerialized leaving behind a very large blue shark with a red belly and loads of teeth. I couldn't help but subconsciously gasp in astonishment as the Pokémon I knew to be Gible looked up at me. I instinctively used the Power of Viridian and my ground type aura to initialize a bond with him. I knelt down in front of the large Gible and rubbed my hands over the rough skin on his dorsal fin as I gazed at him hungrily.

'Gib gib…" the Gible cooed softly, making small happy noises.

"He's perfect, thank you!" I said to my father gratefully not even bothering to look away from my starter.

I heard a small ding and noticed a small blue hologram floating in my field of vision. I looked at it as I continued rubbing my hands over Gible's large dorsal fin.

Species: Gible

Gender: Male

Modifiers: Alpha

Level: 18

Potential: Master

Abilities: Sand Veil, Rough Skin

Moveset:

- Level Up Moves | Tackle, Sand-Attack, Sand Tomb, Dragon Rage

- Egg Moves | Outrage, Iron Head, Iron Tail, Metal Claw

- TM Moves | Earthquake, Dragon Pulse, Rock Tomb, Rock Slide, Stone Edge

- Tutor Moves | Draco Meteor, Scale Shot, Earth Power

I couldn't believe how overpowered my starter was. This information was obviously from the Pokémon scanning feature of my system. I thought the word 'Status' and another blue holographic screen appeared before me, this one detailing the system's features.

I heard a somewhat robotic female voice in my head speak, 'Welcome Host to the system. Please assign me a name.'

I thought of the name 'Siri' and heard the system ding before I mentally dismissed the hologram for later use. I pressed the button for the luxury ball and placed Gible back inside his ball before sitting back down at the table. I then clipped the ball to the last slot on my utility belt and put everything back in the box so I could later take it upstairs after breakfast.

"There is a set of brand new camping gear with the latest technology as well as a bunch of useful things you'll need for when you go on your journey in the backpack. In the front pocket there is also a manual for how best to raise and train a Gible as well as a year's worth of custom made food for dragon and ground type Pokémon," My father said as I continued to eat my breakfast.

My mother took a sip of her coffee and set the cup back on the saucer before saying, "I couldn't possibly sent my boy out into the world without the very best. I sent one of our elite teams out to find you the best possible starter. That Gible was the largest out of the latest clutch from the Garchomp clan's matriarch from the wayward caverns in Sinnoh. We're pretty sure his father was a Champion level Aggron. He is an Alpha Pokémon meaning he will grow to be much larger than his species' average. His potential should also be quite high, at least elite level if not champion level. I've had him trained in obedience and some of the most powerful moves he can learn. He knows the egg moves Outrage, Iron Head, Iron Tail, and Metal Claw."

"Thanks mom. He's amazing, I've got a good feeling about him. I'll be sure to train him well. With an eventual Alpha Garchomp as my starter I'm sure I'll be able to win the Pokémon League's annual Tournament this year," I said polishing off a glass of orange juice, "May I please be excused from the table? I want to go get ready for the day."

------------------------------------------------------------------------------

My father gave me his permission to leave the table with a nod, so I picked up my birthday present and went back upstairs to my room. I placed the giftbox on my desk and took off my robe and pajamas. I took a shower in my ensuite and went about my morning ablutions before getting dressed for the day. I put on my underwear and socks as well as a pair of dark wash jeans and a comfortable black t-shirt. I grabbed a black and red jacket from my closet and then clipped on my new utility belt.

First I unpacked and reorganized the things my father preloaded my backpack with. I found the manual and food he mentioned for Gible and set those to the side. I was fully loaded out with all the latest camping gear from Silph Co. Everything was top of the line in quality and function. I found eighteen different jugs filled with highly nutritious Pokémon food, one for every type. There was also a nice black winter coat and boots for colder climates with a matching scarf, hat, and gloves.

Along side all the gear there was a bunch of brand new technological devices. I took note of the latest Pokédex, a brand new Pokétech, a custom made Pokénav, and a cool looking Rotom Phone. Judging by all the non standard issue technology and the familiar red and black designs, I took a wild guess that these devices were all issued to me from Team Rocket. The first thing I did was unbox and strap the Pokétech to my wrist. I then placed the Pokédex in the left hand pocket of my jacket for easy access. I also checked out the map settings on the Pokénav too. Lastly, I grabbed my essentials, toiletries, and a week's worth of clothes from around my room as well.

After spending half an hour fiddling with all the settings of my new technology, I packed everything up and put it in its preferred place and put the backpack on. I looked at myself in the mirror and gave myself a cheeky wink. I grabbed my wallet off my dresser and placed my new ID card in one of the card slots and placed it in my back pocket. I put my phone in the front pocket of my jeans and was finally ready for the day.

I spent the rest of my birthday morning with my parents before setting out on my journey after lunch. I hugged both my parents goodbye and gave Archer a crisp high five before turning around and marching towards the road. I would first head into town and stock up on some essential items from the Pokémart before heading north towards Viridian forest and then eventually Pewter City.

------------------------------------------------------------------------------

It was a twenty minute walk into the city before I found myself at the Pokémart. I purchased some potions, antidotes, and repels as well as another ten luxury balls. I looked in the TM's section and decided to grab Dig for Gible as it was a useful utility move. I knew he could learn it naturally via leveling up but it was simply more convenient to just grab the TM for it.

After stocking up on the basics I walked towards the main road before heading north towards Viridian Forest. While I was walking I took the time to fiddle around with the system. 'Siri, can you show me my status?'

'Of course I can Host,' Siri's slightly robotic voice said inside my mind.

'Siri, what do the different crowns do?' I asked once again.

'Interesting… So if I understand this correctly the Silver Crown can be used to upgrade a Pokémon's potential from Advanced level to Gym level, Golden Crowns can be used to upgrade a Pokémon's potential from Gym level to Elite level, Diamond Crowns can be used to upgrade a Pokémon's potential from Elite level to Champion level, and Platinum Crowns can be used to upgrade a Pokémon's potential from Champion Level to Master Level, ' I asked confidently

'That's correct, Host,' Siri replied.

'There is a lot of good stuff on here,' I thought to myself as I perused the shops' different categories.

------------------------------------------------------------------------------

I then dismissed the system altogether and looked at my surroundings. I was just outside the entrance to Viridian Forest. I had been walking for a good hour now and decided now would be the best time to bring out Gible. I unhooked the luxury ball from the first slot on the right side of my belt and pressed the button. Gible materialized with a beam of red light and appeared right in front of me.

I gave Gible some pats and a good rub down before slinging my backpack off my shoulder to dig out some of that premium dragon ground type Pokémon food. I brought out a metal bowl and placed a good amount in the dish and waved it in front of my dragon. While Gible dug into his food I started rubbing his large dorsal fin and using the Power of Viridian and my ground type aura to stimulate our burgeoning bond. I then took out the Dig TM that I bought in Viridian and used it on Gible's luxury ball. Gible stopped eating for a moment and looked off into space before digging right back into his food. After Gible finished eating I cleaned up his dish and packed it away again so we could continue onto the beaten path through Viridian Forest.

"Come on Gible, let's get walking. We have a long way to go tonight if we don't want to be camping out inside the forest," I said jovially as we passed through a ranger checkpoint.

Gible and I walked slowly and casually through Viridian Forest. I occasionally used the system's Pokémon scan feature to check the potential ratings of different Pokémon. So far the strongest thing I've seen is an Advanced level Pidgeotto that was fluttering through the trees. We eventually came across a fork in the road with two signs that indicated the paths' direction. The right side's sign said 'This way to Pewter City' so we followed that path.

As Gible and I walked for about an hour down the beaten path a young boy who looked to be about fifteen or sixteen wearing full plate samurai armour came out of the bush and looked at me and Gible.

Samurai looked us up and down before shouting a little exuberantly, "Hello there fellow Trainer! My name is Shinji! Would you like to have a Pokémon battle?"

Gible looked at me as I sized up Shinji and then I looked down at Gible. Gible's Status sheet showed that he was level 19 and listed his bevy of moves. He was one level higher since I checked him this morning. He must have leveled up just after he ate. Judging from the Anime in my previous life the strongest thing Shinji might have is a Pinsir maybe at the Intermediate Level. Possibly a Butterfree at this point. I thought what the heck!

"Sure! We'd love to battle you Shinji. I only have one Pokémon which is my Gible, so does a one versus one sound okay with you?" I said confidently with a small smirk starting to form on my face.

"Excellent! I shall be using my Butterfree then! I've never seen a Gible before! What kind of Pokémon is he?" Shinji asked, still somewhat shouting.

I tweaked my ear with my finger as a subtle social cue and replied, "Gible is a dragon and ground type and the first evolution of Garchomp. He's a Pseudo-Legendary Pokémon from the Sinnoh region. He's very similar to a Dratini from Kanto."

Shinji suddenly got very serious and said, "So he's very strong hmm… Excellent! It shall be a good test for my freshly evolved Butterfree. She just evolved yesterday."

I relaxed quite a bit hearing that his Pokémon was freshly evolved, which meant that it was unlikely to beat my Gible even if they both tried their best, "You heard him Gible let's do this!"

"Shall we make the standard wager of ₽1000 then?" Shinji asked as he pulled out his phone.

I nodded and pulled out my phone and used the League's website to set up the wager. We locked in the bet and began the battle. Gible walked to just a few feet in front of me and growled at Shinji who pulled out a net ball and tossed it up high causing the release feature to trigger. A somewhat larger than normal Butterfree fluttered about in the sky.

Just like that the battle began as I shouted, "Gible start us off with a rock slide!"

Shinji maintained his cool and ordered his Butterfree to use evasive maneuvers as spatial portals opened above the Butterfree and dropped large rocks from the sky. As the Butterfree came closer and closer while dodging one rock after another from the rock slide I then gave Gible a second order, "Gible, aim carefully and hit Butterfree with a dragon rage!"

Gible charged forward and charged a sphere of draconic energy in his maw and then fired it at the Butterfree as they got closer together. Butterfree was hit by the dragon rage and wilted suddenly before dramatically and anticlimactically fainting on the ground.

I blinked a couple of times and thought that the gap between Gible and Butterfree couldn't possibly be that big but Shinji just sighed and returned his Butterfree to her net ball. He walked up to me and stuck out his hand for a shake while saying, "That was a great battle but my Butterfree is only just freshly evolved so it's to be expected."

I shook the teens hand and regained my wits before saying, "It was a good battle but I just didn't expect the gap between our Pokémon to be so big. My Gible only hatched just a couple of months ago."

I heard a ding sound from the system which I ignored and then praised my starter for winning his very first battle. I then asked Shinji if he had any other Pokémon and wanted another battle but apparently his only other Pokémon was a Gym level Pinsir with Elite level potential. I asked him if he found the Pinsir in Viridian Forest and he said he did. I then told him Gible and I were still heading for Pewter City but that I hoped I would see him at the League's Annual Tournament.

------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Shinji and I parted ways amicably and Gible and I continued walking through Viridian Forest. As we were walking I took a look at the system notification I got after we battled.

Quest Completed! You have completed the Active Quest called 'Win a Trainer Battle'. The quest rewards have been issued to your inventory.

'Siri, how do I access my inventory and how does it work?' I asked Siri internally.

'To access your inventory simply think of the word 'inventory' and use the system to take items in and out,' Siri replied mentally.

'Inventory' I thought mentally as a blue hologram popped up in my field of vision. I noticed there were thirty slots in my inventory and that three of them were filled currently. The very first slot was dedicated to TMs and there was a permanent TM for what appeared to be Thunder Wave in there. The second slot was dedicated to evolutionary items and there was a very high quality moon stone in there. The third slot wasn't dedicated but it had a very detailed crown made of bronze stored in it.

I took out the three items to hold them and then put them back in to test the system function. I then put the three items on the ground and asked Siri if she could manipulate them and put them back in the inventory from a remote distance. Siri did that successfully and I found an overpowered way to abuse the system to commit theft. I could now yoink valuable items from their display casing while on the other side of the store looking at something else.

------------------------------------------------------------------------------

I chuckled evilly, scaring Gible a bit before I gave him a reassuring pat. We continued walking towards Pewter City for nearly an hour before we came out of the forest and onto the second half of Route Two. Gible and I saw a few more trainers but didn't battle anyone along the way. I scanned a few more Pokémon as we exited the forest and was sad that I didn't come across any Pokémon with a higher level of potential to catch to complete my second easier quest. I looked at my active quests again and was surprised to see a new quest in place of the old one.

A battle streak quest I mused internally. With Gible's potential and moveset this should be pretty easy. I wonder if there is something like a battle club / court in Pewter City where I can bully some rookie trainers in a bunch of one versus one battles.

Eventually Gible and I got closer to Pewter City so I had to return Gible to his luxury ball. As I walked towards the Pewter City Pokémon Center I came across two people who appeared to be Ash and Misty as they wandered over from another street. There was a Pikachu just chilling on Ash's shoulder and Misty looked quite haggard and dirty. It looked like we were heading to the same place. I briefly scanned the Pikachu while we were walking

Species: Pikachu

Gender: Male

Modifiers: Gigantamax

Level: 17

Potential: Champion

Abilities: Static, Lightning Rod

Moveset:

- Level Up Moves | Thundershock, Tail Whip, Growl, Quick Attack, Thunder Wave, Double Team

- Egg Moves | Volt Tackle

- TM Moves | None

- Tutor Moves | None

I waved at them and began a conversation with Ash as our paths merged onto the main road, "Hey there my name is Silver! Did you guys just come from the Gym?"

Ash nodded enthusiastically and practically glowed in response, "My name's Ash. I'm from Pallet Town and this is my partner Pikachu. Oh and my friend Misty. Yeah we just came from the Gym. I had to make an appointment to battle Brock since he's so busy with the beginning of the League Circuit. Are you also here to challenge Brock?"

I nodded with a slight smirk on my face and replied just as enthusiastically, "Yeah I just came from Viridian City and was headed to the Pokémon Center to book a room for the night."

Misty joined the conversation and asked if I had gotten through the forest in one day. She complained about how she and Ash got lost multiple times and had to camp out overnight in the forest. I chuckled a bit and told her I didn't take any detours off the beaten path. I told her I might go back tomorrow to catch a second Pokémon for my battle but that I got through in just a couple of hours of walking.

Misty's nose curled up and she gave off a particularly unladylike grunt of ugh before she stormed ahead into the Pokémon Center. I chuckled once more and followed her into the Pewter City Pokémon Center. At the counter I met with Nurse Joy and asked if I could book a room for the night. I paid for one night with complementary meals in the kitchens and then scanned the Chansey that was behind the counter.

Species: Chansey

Gender: Female

Modifiers: None

Level: 46

Potential: Elite

Abilities: Natural Cure, Serene Grace

Moveset:

- Level Up Moves | Pound, Charm, Defense Curl, Tail Whip, Life Dew, Sing, Fling, Take Down, Heal Pulse, Helping Hand, Light Screen, Double Edge, Soft Boiled

- Egg Moves | Aromatherapy, Seismic Toss

- TM Moves | Calm Mind, Thunder Wave

- Tutor Moves | None

I took note of the Chansey and dismissed the holographic system pop up. I then watched Ash and Misty head up to their rooms to shower and change before I headed over to the lounge area for Trainers. I took out my Rotom Phone and called my mom to tell her I made it safely to Pewter City and she was thrilled to receive news. I also told her about how Gible and I won our first battle. She congratulated me and asked if I needed anything. I told her I would call her and let her know if I needed stuff before we hung up.

------------------------------------------------------------------------------

I waited patiently for Ash and Misty to come back down so that I could challenge Ash and Pikachu to a battle. I eagerly wanted to complete my second quest to get those rewards. If I defeated Ash I would have enough points to purchase a second Pokémon from the store as well as a few hold items to make my battle with Brock much easier.

After about thirty minutes Ash came down before Misty and I got up and walked over to him to make my challenge, "Say Ash I noticed you have a very strong Pikachu on your shoulder. Do you think we could have a one versus one battle outside?"

Ash nodded enthusiastically and said, "Heck yeah we can! Let's go outside to find a place to throw down!"

We headed outside together and looked around for a good place to battle. Off to the side of the Pokémon Center there was actually a small battle court which was the perfect place to fight. Pikachu darted onto the center of the far side of the battle court and Ash followed shortly after. I went to the opposite side and palmed Gible's poké ball on my belt.

"Shall we make the standard wager of ₽1000?" I asked Ash confidently.

Ash nodded from across the battle court and pulled out his Pokédex. I pulled out my phone and we made the battle's wager official using the League's website. I tucked my phone away and pulled out Gible's luxury ball.

I pressed the luxury balls button and called out, "Gible it's time to battle!"

Gible materialized with a beam of red light and then growled menacingly at Pikachu. Ash scanned Gible with his Pokédex and shouted enthusiastically, "Alright lets do this Pikachu! Use Quick Attack!"

Before Pikachu could close the distance I gave Gible an order firmly and loudly, "Gible disrupt his balance with Earthquake!"

Gible gave his stubby little legs a good stomp and filled the ground with ground type aura in waves. Pikachu didn't stumble and fall but panicked and stopped using Quick Attack. I followed that up with another quick order, "Now Gible use Dig and go underground."

Gible followed my command but kept the tip of his dorsal fin out of the ground like a tried and true land shark. Pikachu could now track where Gible was coming from but couldn't do anything because Gible was so fast when swimming through the ground. Gible got right under Pikachu and then erupted from the ground with a blast of ground type energy that caused Pikachu to be flung into the sky.

"Now while he's in the air aim carefully fire Stone Edge, Gible!" I ordered swiftly.

Gible used rock typed energy to generate a gauntlet of stones that seismically orbited around him and then fired them at Pikachu one after the other. Pikachu was hit by large rocks twice before he fell onto the ground. Ash shouted for Pikachu to get up and use Thundershock. While Pikachu was charging Thundershock I gave Gible the order to close in and use Dragon Rage.

Gible was hit by Thundershock just after the sphere of draconic energy left his maw headed straight for Pikachu. Both Pokémon were blasted with energy but only Gible was immune to damage. After Pikachu was hit with an Earthquake, a Dig, two Stone Edges, and lastly a point blank Dragon Rage Pikachu finally fainted.

Ash called out for Pikachu and ran over to pick him up while I knelt down and gave Gible his due praise in head and dorsal fin rubs. I stood up and called out to Ash telling him to take Pikachu back inside the Pokémon Center. We walked back into the Pokémon Center together and called out for Nurse Joy who looked half exasperated, half amused at Ash and Pikachu's predicament. I held in my chuckle as we walked over to the lounge area. Ash took out his Pokédex and reported the winner and only after that did I hear a small ding and see the system notification.

Gary Oak huh… I mused internally as Ash anxiously waited for news about Pikachu. I noticed him fidgeting with what I assume is Pikachu's poké ball on his belt and decided to reassure him, "Relax Ash Pikachu's going to be fine. It was just a few minor bumps and bruises, nothing to be worried about. Nurse Joy will have him fixed up and re-energized within the hour."

Ash finally stopped fidgeting and visibly relaxed, "Yeah you're right thanks Silver."

------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Just then Misty came down wearing a blue hoodie over her yellow crop top and sat down next to us, "Where's Pikachu Ash?"

"He's getting healed up with Nurse Joy right now. I just battled Silver and lost," Ash pouted slightly.

Misty just shook her head disappointedly and then turned towards me and asked, "So Silver how old are you and where are you from? I just turned fourteen and come from Cerulean City."

"I just turned thirteen today actually, it's my birthday. I was born and raised in Viridian City. My dad is Giovanni Corleone. I also know about your sisters and your grandfather. Your grandfather's name is Percy Williams right?" I informed Misty casually as I leaned back into the comfy couch.

Misty perked up interestedly when she heard my father's name. She looked completely shell shocked when I asked about her grandfather, "Happy Birthday! Yeah that's him. Percy is short for Perseus actually. He was an Admiral in the Kanto Navy before he became a Gym Leader. The previous Gym Leader of the Cerulean Gym died in battle and had no heirs so they granted my family the gym because of my grandfather's contributions in the war."

I nodded in response and then turned to Ash to include him in the conversation, "What about you Ash? Got any family? You said earlier you were from Pallet Town right?"

Ash perked up and nodded thoughtfully, "Yeah my mom owns the most popular diner in town. I have no clue about my dad though. He passed away shortly before I was born. It hurts my mom's feelings when I ask about my dad so I never ask about him. The only thing I was able to get Professor Oak to tell me about him was that he was a skilled scientist and Pokémon Trainer who used to work for him."

I nodded and Ash and Misty and I just sat and talked about ourselves for a bit. After a good forty five minutes I stood up and grabbed my backpack and said, "I'm going to head to the gym before dinner to register for a gym battle for tomorrow afternoon. I'll see you guys a bit later."

I walked around the city for a bit until I eventually found the gym. I went inside the gym and found the secretary sitting at her desk out front. I asked about scheduling a gym battle for tomorrow afternoon and the secretary slotted me in for 2:00PM in the afternoon. I then went back to the Pokémon Center and ate my dinner and fed Gible.

I took the key to my rented room that Nurse Joy gave me and turned in for the night. It was only then that I brought up the system's inventory to check out the rewards I got for beating Ash. I now had a bronze crown and a golden crown. Lastly I brought out the Pokémon Egg I received. The egg came with what I could tell was a high quality incubator which was nice. I opened the incubator's glass lid and picked up the egg itself.

The egg I received was mint green and hot pink in alternating spiral patterns from top to bottom. I tried to scan the egg with the system to see if the scan feature would work on eggs and was pleasantly surprised to see all the information.

I chuckled a bit and placed the egg back in the incubator and took a note of the time. The egg will hatch tomorrow at 7:45PM. Hopefully by then I would be back on the road headed for Cerulean City from Mt. Moon with the Boulder Badge in hand. I set the incubator on my night stand and got ready for bed.

Tomorrow was looking to be quite the exciting day. I would pick one of the starter Pokémon from the system shop and purchase them with system points. I could then spend most of the morning training my team for my battle with Brock. I would probably skulk around the market to see if there was anything interesting to buy or steal and could then begin making my way towards Mt. Moon. It didn't take me very long to nod off into the wonderful realm of Morpheus either. That night I would sleep like a baby…

Author's Note: That's it that's all for the first chapter of my new FanFiction. I hope you all enjoyed reading it as much as I enjoyed writing it. You can probably expect an update with the second chapter tomorrow or the next day. Please be sure to leave a review and give me some honest feedback. Also let me know if you liked the chapter length at around 6.5k words. Also comment on this Author's Note and cast your vote. Tell me if you'd prefer my second Pokémon to be Treecko or Froakie. Those two are some of my favourite starter Pokémon and I don't have any solid plans on which one I could work into the story. This story will be cross posted over on FF.net if anyone wants to read it over there. Thanks for reading and reviewing!
