Chapter 19 - PART 1: Chapter 10 - Dormmates Reconnection

Five years ago…..

Sharon

I was in my office, typing something rapidly in my laptop when the door opened and Jide strolled in, gracefully.

"Hi." A sweet smile played on my face as I stood up to meet his embrace.

He grinned from ear to ear, arms wide open for me to jump in. "Hello, sweetheart."

I fell into his embrace, my legs wrapped around his waist. I don't know who started it first, but we end up kissing fervorously until I broke the kiss first to regain my breath.

"What are you doing here at working hours?" I chuckled, my hair hovering on his face.

He tucked the strands behind my ear and gave me a light peck on the lips. "To see you of course."

I blushed, gently scooping down from his body. "But we talked the whole time this morning." I chuckled.

The truth be told, I don't know how I became this way—clinging and needy when it comes to Jide. I just found myself liking his presence around me. Every now and then.

Even before this moment that he came, I have been craving to see him. I just want to see him...to kiss him….to hold him in my arms again.

I don't care whatever you might call this but I liked the feels. And I want to keep it going. Forever.

"Oh come on, I miss you, baby." His arms wrapped around my waist.

I wrap my arms around his neck, smiling. "You still can't get enough of me, right?"

"I wish I could." He peck on my lips again. I noticed his eyebrows creased like a frown. "What is that?"

"What is what?" I tilt my head to one side, copying his words.

His eyes grazing my entire face then down to my lips. At once, I knew he was hungry for me. "Your lips. They taste like strawberries."

I laughed hard. He got to be kidding me. "You're so funny. It's just lipstick."

"I like it." His words disappearing into another kiss again.

For me, his kisses were like drug, taking my mind far away.

But then, he broke the kiss, making me anticipate if he was going to take out condom from his pocket.

Then I heard him say; "Close your eyes."

What is he playing now? "Is it hide and seek?" I chuckled.

"Just close your eyes, my love." His voice sweet and seductive.

"Okay." I obeyed. Patiently waiting for his next step. I hope it's not what am literally thinking.

Of course it wasn't what I was expecting when I felt something tingling my neck. It felt like Jide was putting something around my neck.

I touched it with my eyes still tightly closed. I felt his breathing warming my neck as he locks something like a chain on it.

Then I heard his deep voice say; "You can open up now."

The first thing my eyes looked on was my neck. I was eager to see what he puts there.

And when I saw it….. "Oh my god, wow." I gasped at the sight of the shining diamond necklace that has my name 'SHARON' embroidered on it. "This is so beautiful."

"You are beautiful." He said, smiling like he was proud of me. "You like it?"

"Are you crazy? I love it!" I beamed, smacking my lips on his.

This was the most precious gift I have ever received from anyone and since it was from Jide, I loved it even more.

He returned the kiss passionately. "Am glad you love it, honey."

I look down at the shining thing with thin diamond chain. I trail my fingers around it. "This is so precious and expensive, Jide. I really do love it. It's beautiful."

He combed his fingers through my red wig. "You're the most priceless thing I can't afford, Sharon. Sometimes, I wish I could give you the universe."

That one got me. I laughed softly. "You're a psychopath. How can you give me the universe when you aren't even the creator."

He feigned a disappointed look. "Tsk, yeah. I just remembered. But I can still duplicate something relating to that."

And the next thing, we were both kissing again. Slow. Sweet. Gentle. Genuine. Passionate.

We were lost in our desires. In our island of love and lust. Nothing else mattered to us except for the both of us alone in our dream world.

The sound of our kisses echoed in the room.

Gradually, it became fervorous, furious, greedy, hungry, harsh, and wanting for something deeper.

Just when I thought we were migrating the kiss to another level, the door sprawled open, leaving us with two feminine figures squealing at the doorstep. "Surprise!"

Really?

No, wait. Like seriously? Why does it have to be every time Jide and I are making out in the office?

We broke the kiss in an instant and arch our heads towards the door where I found my two besties gazing at Jide and I in amusement.

Kiki Fapohunda and Iretomiwa Bolaji.

"Hi," Why did I suddenly sound so awkward at my best friends? I gave a light wave as I arrange my dress.

Both Kiki and Ire stood like bunch of sculptures, jaw dropped.

No, wait. It's like their focus are on Jide not me.

"Hi," they waved their hands at him, blushing like freshly picked tomatoes.

"Hi," he had a brief smile across his face for a while, then he turned his gaze at me. His eyes falling back at my lips. This guy, he just can't get enough of me. "I'll call you. Later." He whispered, winking at me.

When I nodded, he sealed it up with a kiss, as if it was the last time we would see each other.

I overheard Kiki and Ire 'Awwww—ing' from a distance.

I bit my lips, blushing. "Bye." I whispered and watched him leave.

Meanwhile, Kiki and Ire couldn't stop grazing at him until he totally vanished out of the room.

"Hey, you two." I grabbed them into the office immediately Jide left. "When did you guys arrived from Nigeria?" I whispered like someone could hear us.

Kiki and Ire has been my childhood friends since ages. We were of the same age too. We all attended the same kindergarten, middle school, highschool and even college.

We rocked the world back then in the days. Went to the club together and did a lot of nonsense in the past.

It was like fate got us covered because both Kiki and Ire's parents moved to reside in Poland before mom and dad.

The only reason why they go to Nigeria often was because, both parents businesses was based in Lagos and Abuja.

I really missed them, anyway. I couldn't wait for them to return. Geez, it was almost like everlasting before I could see them again.

And now, the surprise visit!

It felt like I just won a multi billion dollar promo.

"Jesus, I missed you, girl!" Ire was the first to jump on me and hugged me tight that I almost ran out of breath.

Kiki joined too. "It felt like forever not seeing you again."

I hugged them tightly. "I missed you guys too." I pulled away. "Look at you two, glowing like the sun."

Kiki threw a strand of her blond ombre wig behind, "Look who's talking about glowing. When you're the one even radiating like summer holidays."

Ire goes to make herself comfortable on the couch. "Who's that guy by the way? A boyfriend or something?" She grinned like a donkey.

"Seems like someone is falling in looovvveeeee." Kiki drags the words as if starting a solo. She opens my mini fridge, staring inside for a while as if looking for something important. "You got any ice-cream in here?"

"Oh my goodness, Kiki, come check this out." Ire ran towards me, squealing like a mad dog.

She looked more like she just saw a treasure chest sinking into the ocean and she going to save it.

Kiki still bent in front of the fridge was like 'hoo, what's that?'

"It's so beautiful and dazzling." Ire touched my necklace, her eyes sparkling like a lost kitty.

"Oh, nice necklace." Kiki blandly said. Her attention was more drawn towards the fridge than any other thing.

"I wished the mafia king could see me as something and surprise me with this someday." Ire was referring to my elder brother, Sebastian.

She has always had a crush on him since the beginning of creation. And Kiki had always had love crush on my soccer cousin, Liam.

So many times had she wished that Liam could play her in bed just as he plays soccer in the field.

And to keep that attraction going, both Kiki and Ire never missed our family social gathering or even parties. Thinking they could get a chance with Liam and Sebastian.

"Your fridge is so blank. Very outdated." Kiki complained. She only took a can of soda drink.

"So, girl, tell us who's this guy and how did you two fell in love." Ire dragged me to the couch with her.

Causing me to sit in the middle between she and Kiki. "Trust me, it's not an interesting story from the beginning."

"Who gives a shit about rating it in the first place?" Kiki sipped her drink, making irritating drinking sounds. "Just breakfree from anywhere, girl."

I took a deep breath and told them everything.

"Oh my world, you two were f**k buddies and roomies?" Ire stated loudly.

Geez!

I covered her mouth, "Hey, can you keep your voice down?"

She took my hand off and gasped. "How many rounds did he do it in a day?"

Gosh. She won't shut up. I knew it.

Kiki was like 'Damn, I love that story' "I want to hear more." She grinned.

Okay, that's it. "End of book. The end."

Ire clinged on my arm, pleadingly. "Come on, girl. Tell us. Was the sex good?"

I rolled my eyes. Not wanting to answer.

There came Kiki with her crazy way of communicating again. "Damn, girl, from the look of things, I think he's a mastermind in bed. I really wish I was you. I'd have given it to him first thing when he wakes up in the morning, second thing in the afternoon and last thing before he goes to bed."

"You two are really shameless, you know that, right?" I stood up, crossing my arms.

"Look who's talking about shame. You slept with a guy—your father's best friend's son and your roommate, Sharon. You two were sexually submissive for four good f**king years, girl." Ire said.

"Things already changed, okay? We're no more sex mates or whatever you called it."

"But the paint is still there." Kiki said, opening another can of soda. I hope she doesn't empty my fridge more than it already is, before she leaves. "You two had sex three months ago again at a friend's wedding. You said it yourself."

I rubbed my temples, taking in a deep breath. These girls are so dramatic. "For the record, Jide and I have decided to change patterns of things. From how they used to be before to a different dimension."

"Like a relationship?" Ire pressed.

I shrugged my shoulders. How am I supposed to know if we were dating or not? "I don't know, Ire. All I know is that….. I don't want to loose him or even share him with anyone. Not now, not ever."

Kiki high-fived Ire. Both girls grinning like devils.

"The bossy princess is in love." Ire said, admiring her red manicure nails.

"Stop." I blushed. Obviously not knowing what's amusing me.

"Did your parents approve you date someone outside your ethic?" Kiki belched. Making Ire and I to give her a disgusting stare.

"Kiki, they're not complaining." I sighed, going back to my desk to continue my abandoned work. "It's even easier because my parents and Jide's parents are best of friends since ages."

"Even acknowledging the fact that he's from the Eastern part of Nigeria and you're from the Western part?" Kiki sounded like she's reminding me of something.

I typed fast on the keyboards, my eyes grazing intensely on the screen. "Yes. They don't care, Kiki."

"You remembered the Biafra war?" Ire quietly said. But when I shot her a deadly glare, she refrained on her words. "Okay, I understand. It's just a story, Ire. Don't bring it up."

Kiki and I laughed at the way she sounded so innocent.
